So now we have Hitler and Jekyll/Hyde. Aren't we all a creative bunch.

Anyway, My Noble character!

  • Name: Morgan Craw
  • Race: Tengu
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: Morgan has black hair and wing feathers, and grey feathers running down her arm. Her eyes are brown, looking more like that of a Hawk then a human. She wears a long strapless dress, so her wings are left unaltered and free. She often goes barefoot, as she has trouble finding shoes that fit her in Mistbay. She wears a quiver on her belt, as her wings prevent it from going on her shoulder.
  • Age: 25
  • Personality: Morgan is calm and reserved, preferring to keep rude thoughts about others too herself. She's also quite intelligent, especially when it comes to aerodynamics. She enjoys letting people know about all the different aspects of aerodynamics, which leads some to find her boring, and slightly self-centered.
  • Bio: When the continental war started, most of the Tengu in the south flew back to their northern homes, but not Morgan. She was one of the heavy set Tengu, and even if she did return home, she would have been unable to fly over the great Glacier to get to the Tengu peaks. Instead, she opted to stay in Mistbay, where she became a weapons maker, becoming known for her skill at making bows and arrows. During this period, she made a lot of money, and soon managed to ascend to the upper class, becoming the go to weapons maker for the Humans. While making weapons, she manged to construct her own: The Raven, a bow with a sight attached at the end, which made it clunky and unwieldy when needed immediately, but, when given time to set-up at long range could be used to snipe very efficiently. She also worked on making an artificial set of wings, or a glider of sorts so she would be able to fly over the great glacier and return to the Tengu peaks. In truth, this was the reason she became an aerodynamics expert in the first place. When the Otium Ball was announced, Morgan was invited out of manners more than anything. They couldn't just not invite a Tengu representative after all. Morgan is the only Tengu at the ball.
  • Abilities: She's a very talented aerodynamicist, and a decent archer.
  • Equipment: The Raven, a bow perfect for long range sniping, yet clunky and unwieldy at close range.

Whew! Late, but hopefully on time. Somehow, the bio still feels a bit strained to me.

Name: Andre d'Abri (aka The Masked Thief)

Race: Human (noble).

Gender: Male

Appearance: Andre is dark-haired, bright-eyed, tall and handsome. He usually wears sturdy pants, a sleeveless vest over a silk shirt, and a stylish capelet. His smile is cheerful, and his sideburns are manly.

Age: 26

Personality: Andre's primary desire is to enjoy life, and let others enjoy it as much as they can. He appreciates beauty in everything, be it a pretty face, a catchy song, a tasty meal or a shiny gem. And so, if some people are rich and others are poor, he takes this as unfair. So he takes the money from those who have too much... And spends them on food and women.

Andre likes attention and adrenaline. That's why, whenever he can, he makes his burglaries flashy, with dozens of guards chasing him and lots of spectators. Every such chase is a performance, with songs, and acrobatics, and sleight-of-hand tricks and occasional fireworks. But behind the facade of reckless bravado, Andre is careful and patient - before the performances, he spends a few nights tampering with traps, planning his route, preparing his tricks, and often stealing whatever he wants even before the raid. And even if things go not as planned, he thinks good on his feet.

Outside of his "performances", Andre is pleasant with men, charming with women, and gets along with most people. He can tell good stories, knows many songs, and sometimes even composes them on the spot. Although, he's often too loud, keeps flirting with women even if they don't appreciate it, and his singing gets annoying after some time.

There are two treasures that Andre respects so much, that he'll never willingly take one - one is a person's life, the other is a girl's virginity. Married women are fair game, though.

Bio: Andre is the fourth child of a famous general, Jaques d'Abri. His older brother was burdened with all the responsibility of the heir, which left Andre mostly unsupervised and free to enjoy himself. And he would have been a very naughty child, but one time, when he got into an especially bad trouble, his favourite nanny scolded him. She said, "It's okay to have fun, but not when it grieves the people around you". After that, Andre became a... Less naughty child.

Around the age of 16, Andre realized that his brother, as a heir, will inherit not only his father's responsibilities, but most of the fortune, as well. By this time Andre was already used to living in riches, and such setup didn't satisfy him. The same year, castle d'Abri was visited by a theater. Andre was impressed and, under the influence of popular at the time novels, decided to write and play a one-man performance of The Masked Thief. He spent five years secretly studying tricks, designing a costume, training his agility. Combined with a certain talent for theatrics and the past of abundant pranking, this resulted in an astounding success.

At the age of 22, during a visit to celebrate a birthday of a nearby marqius' daughter, Andre had his first Grand Performance. He nearly got caught by the guards, and the marquis almost ran him through with a sword, but all Andre's peers were talking about The Masked Thief for weeks after that. Needless to say Andre, already an attention hound, instantly got addicted to the adrenaline.

Since then, the Masked Thief had struck at least twice a year.

Equipment: To put a good show, one has to have good equipment. In this regard, Andre is well-prepared. His clothes have numerous hidden pockets to quickly pull out the stuff he needs, and he owns a good number of simple magical items. They might be expencive, but hey, did you think he spends all the money he steals on girls?

  • Magical stuff: one Animated Rope; a pair of Climbing Boots; a Capelet of Gliding; an enchanted lens to study magical traps and locks; a wand to tamper with them; a deck of cards that can fly and return; a Ring of Alarms (basically, an alarm clock); and the Orator's Cane, which can make his voice louder.

  • Mundane stuff: three silken ropes, usually tied around his waist; a deck of worn playing cards, possibly marked; two sets of lockpicks, each hidden in a different place; a small but sharp folding knife; loaded dice; non-loaded dice; smoke bombs; firecrackers; a music box; and a number of shiny trinkets that women like. Also, a full set of The Masked Thief's costume, usually in a tight bundle, so it would be easy to hide at different places.

Abilities: Andre is a good acrobat, an excellent entertainer, can mimic voices quite well, and knows many tricks that decieve the eye. He can also bypass most locks and traps, both magical and mechanical - although, not all of them unassisted. He can also slip from ropes or shackles with relative ease. Andre knows fencing just enough to defend himself and make a good show, and is good at improvised fighting (that is, with chairs, tablecloths, chandeliers, etc). His tactics is mainly distracting and tripping opponents until he can run away. Occasionally, when Andre finds a magical item, he can guess how to use it with no manual.

Rather than smart, I'd prefer to be wise. It would let me be silly more often.

Accepted.

And finally, our thief.

  • Name: Gra Ba'si
  • Race: Goblin
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: Small, even by goblin standards, Gra stands at about two foot tall. She has dull, yellow scales, and generally wears baggy trousers, a bag that attaches over her shoulder, and a helmet with an enchanted stone inside, that generates light in the dark.
  • Age: 20
  • Personality: Devious and cheeky, Gra loves to trick and prank others. She gets no greater joy then ruining things for someone, and is probably a mild sadist. She's also very charismatic, which is how she manged to become the leader of the thieves trying to rob the Otium Ball at such a young age. That and her height allowing her to fit into passage ways many other couldn't.
  • Bio: Born on Mistbay, Gra has been stealing since she was about six, when she stole food from larders, replacing it with earthworms. Since then, she has always kept a mischievous element in her heists, most recently "replacing" a precious painting with a crude drawing of an Ogre couple. She has no idea about her family, as her mother and father abandoned her clutch in the city, and she, as the runt of the litter, was the last to hatch, after all the others had left. She had to learn how to support herself, and a steady career isn't really an option open to a diminutive homeless goblin. However, she pushed hard at her trade, and eventually became renowned as one of the best thieves on the island. She has big plans for the Otium Ball that she refuses to divulge to anyone, bar the fact that it involves a lot of straw.
  • Equipment: A satchel where she keeps the materials for her relevant pranks, and a helmet enchanted with a stone that lights up in the dark.
  • Abilities: She's an excellent thief, and has a quick wit. She's completely stupid when it comes to academics though, and she couldn't weild a weapon to save her life.

Andre d'Abri (human)
Uther Velran (human)

Siman/Makak (human)
Morgan Craw (tengu)

Mercenaries (guarding the castle):

Johnson Viandas (human)
Rellik (human)
Dr. None Moonraven (elf)
Drumlin Snowdrift (dwarf)

???

Argor Tholden (ogre)
G?l (goblin)

Also, because I'm a bit confused. The tengu at the top of the page, does she have a human face or a beak? Does she have clawed feet?

Yeah, I just didn't mention it because I thought it was pretty obvious. Maybe it wasn't though. Will I edit it in?

That list looks helpful.

Sorry for any of our thieves, I'll get that plot line set up now.

Well, the description for tengu is kinda hidden, so not everyone would realize that the face isn't human.

Yeah. I'm gonna try and get my write up for it done eventually, once they become something people could conceivably play as.
