How about we retcon it so the man who arrives first is Fogg and we can say Sherlock was unavailable. As for the multiple men there, how about we somehow use some elbow grease and make Nemo there already. I don't know, anyone else got ideas?

It can get a bit taxing at times, be warned, but mostly you have to try and keep track of the characters and know when to put your foot down. But you're doing fine so far, if a little lax on guiding the story. You've hardly posted.
