There's a lot of subtropes of Spam Attack, but none really that work for magical attacks. The closest is Beam Spam, and mentions magic on its page, but I'm not sure it's really all that fitting. Magical barrages are not always in beam form, often it's just projectiles of no particular shape. In that regard you may have things like D&D's Magic Missile or some of Cloud of Darkness's attacks in Dissidia Final Fantasy (for reference). And there's other instances, like Disgaea has an attack that summons several lightning strikes in rapid succession.

I'm not sure if it's needed which is why I'm bringing it up here rather than skipping to YKTTW, but moral of the story - shall we make a new subtrope of Spam Attack for magic spamming? I think a more specific definition could be for a trope that deals with barrages of energy orbs in some manner, but I'd like other opinions on what to do, if any.

While we don't have a specific policy on the matter, making YKTTWs for subtropes is a handled as a free action.
