So I'm almost hoping that Hercule's string of defeats in this fic will lead to him getting stronger and stronger.

See, this right here is the kind of development Yamcha could have had back in the original series, if Toriyama had only cared enough to try.

I mean, him using fighting only as a means makes sense (as we went over in the main thread), but that doesn't mean he was only ever good for being beaten up as a worf.

This was nice.

Why was his Kamehameha red?

Partly because I thought it'd be neat, and partly because with Krillin and Suno and Tenshinhan before him, one of the things I've kind of added to this universe is that the Kamehameha is affected by the personality and intent of each person who uses it, by its coloration or the style of its beam and so forth. I haven't quite exactly what each imperfection means yet but the idea is that the only people who are true masters of the technique can fire a true Kamehameha, blue and true and clear of imperfection. So far the only people who've done so, I'm pretty sure, are Roshi and Goku.

EDIT: Upon inspection, and Gohan Sr. to the list.

In the colored versions of the manga where Toriyama had input on the coloring, the Kamehameha is yellow.

Pointing that out.

Also, "my universe my rules" doesn't work because it's not your universe, you're playing on someone else's sandbox.

Yeah but this is hardly the first thing we've changed and it certainly won't be the last.

Also, it's technically our variation of Toriyama's universe.
