I like the art-style so far. It reminds me a bit of Takeshi Obata.

Not to mention, the numbers above everyone's head reminds me of the shinigami eye powers from Death Note as well.

Hope that wasn't an important death we just saw.

I myself wonder what Genre and platform the game will be on.

Seems like it will be a Playstation 4 title, to me.

An android as a partner, you play as a freedom fighter, and it's a multiplayer game for the Vita. I wonder who's developing it?

It reminds me a lot of Gods Eater Burst.

SCE Japan? That's kind of a vague answer: they're more of a collection of teams and sub-divisions with several projects on the burner at any given time. Aside from maybe Ape Escape and LocoRoco, they rarely have the main team focusing on a project, and if they do, it's probably a portable or downloadable title. They sometimes work with independent developers too.

So it could be anybody from Studio Japan. But I guess I'm nitpicking: I really just wanted to make sure it was first-party.

It's the same Japan studio that made Gravity Rush.

Interesting. I'd have guessed they'd be making a Gravity sequel, but I guess they've had time to prove themselves; a new IP could do them some good. I'll need to keep an eye on this one.

So, Project Siren aren't making this, and it's being created by SCE Japan's main team. Project Siren have re-named themselves "Team Gravity," and are naturally working on Gravity Rush 2.

So, the game will have a Hey You! Pikachu feature that lets you give commands to your squad. It supports English.

Hope it handles accents better than the Kinect.

Anyway, here's a trailer:

The blonde girl is voice by Eriko Nakamura, and The Rival character by Jun'ichi Suwabe. I'm guessing the game will have a language option. More on them here.

The game is confirmed for a Western release. I think everybody saw it coming.

So, the game is nearly out in Japan. Famitsu gave it a 35/40, so I'd expect good things.

Played the demo, so far okay-ish but I really hope there's a lot more to the game than this.
