[up] I would watch the shit out of that just for the accents and enjoy every second of it.

[up] hold on, don't you guys in Europe have dubbing firms for anime?

[up] Sorry about that. Still, a Britsh or even French dubbed KLK would awesome...grin

The German dub is pretty cool.

There's a British version of The Borrower Arrietty floating around.

[up] I might have to find that but is the German dub good?

In what way would a British dub differ from an American one?

British accents.

That's about it. It's the reason Xenoblade Chronicles didn't get re-dubbed when it finally got released in North America. What'd be the point?

I'm sorry California, Texas and New York get so many of the English dubs, but at the same time it's at least generally agreed upon that American accents are easier to understand than those from the various branches of the Commonwealth. I'd bring up Singapore, but I've never heard a Singaporean dub that was done by actual actors.

I sure said that!

... I'm not sure how many dubs are done in NY nowadays. Pokemon is the only thing that comes to mind, and maybe several under-the-radar hentai/horror shows.

[up][up]...by Americans.

I'd imagine British ears would have little to no trouble understanding a British accent.

I think I need to study British accents but would the potential British dub be as amazing as the American dub? KLK is a kinetic, action series where everyone speaks in a rapid fire manner and it has plenty of word puns that make sense in Japanese.

[up][up]Well, sure, but I'm talking in regards to the whole of the English-speaking world. You'll forgive me for not having the numbers right on hand, I hope, but I believe there's been at least one scientific study that amounted to "US English is usually less accented and easier to understand for all English speakers in comparison to other regional dialects".

It probably has a lot to do with hegemony and all, but practicality is still practicality.

I sure said that!

Still, I wonder about a Kill la Kill euorpean dub would turn out. I know this is more of a cult classic franchise rather than a series with mainstream appeal but still..

So, the theoretical toku adaptation would theoretically have a lot to live up to after those very high-quality cosplays... In theory.

... No joke, I'm slightly shocked some of those folks weren't arrested for public indecency, considering how skimpy and improbable-looking activated Kamui and the Nudist Beach uniforms are.
