So guys, a week until the OVA.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Do we know anything about it?
- It covers Ryuko and Mako's graduation fron Hounoji - Something attacks the academy predictably - Lots of action - Ryuko panty shot - 90's Ragyo - Satsuki cutting her hair
And that's about it.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Hold on, let me pull up the trailer and aggressively pause and un-pause it to get a better grasp on the premise:
- Stuff will blow up
- Ryuko will fight stuff with a green claw on a stick
- Mako will make a hallelujah rant
- Nudist Beach will get naked
- Ragyo will have sunglasses
That's about it.
There's something insignificant written here, but because it's insignificant, you didn't read it.Wait, nineties Ragyo? That cannot possibly be. This Ragyo is no more. She has ceased to be. She's expired and gone to meet its maker. She is the late Ragyo. She's a stiff. Bereft of life, she rests in peace. If she hadn't been turned to bloody space dust, she would be pushing up the daisies. She's rung down the curtain and joined the choir invisible. She is an ex-Ragyo.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.I guess someone replaced her.
She is now Ragyo Soul. Accompanied by Nui Harime's Revenge.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...mfw Ryuuko used to look more like Satsuki:

I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialLove that Mako-ish expression on the right.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. You think it will be months before the OVA will be released stateside?
Probably. The dub of the regular series isn't even fully out yet.

I mentioned this before, but I really want to believe that the Kiryuin kids matching up with the Greek Three Sisters of Fate isn't just mere coincidence.
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them. Not being well versed in Greek Mythology myself, care to explain?
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Well I linked to the article; they're the three sisters who control the thread of fate. One has a spool who creates life, one has a measure that allots life, and one has a set of shears that ends life.
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.I don't really think there's anything there besides the shared thread of fate symbolism- KLK is mostly more Japanese in its cultural references, like the Elite Four sharing aspects of the Four Devas or Honnoji Academy being named for the temple Oda Nobunaga was betrayed at by Akechi Mitsuhide.

I sure said that! The Kill la Kill Special will be release this Wednesday right? It being a dvd exclusive episode makes me wonder if it'll come this week.
Yes but the string of Fate is also a Greek Mythological construct; in particular the sister who cut the thread with a pair of shears (read: Scissors).
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.So does anyone knows?
[A very tasteless joke I thought was funny when I wrote it]
It involves a pop star's antics? But mostly I was gently mocking your bad grammar

Afro Warrior: I have seen others make a good case that Nui was intended to evoke the same feeling of loathing as a genuine Villain Sue.
A Villain Sue is not a villain who is too powerful, simplistically motivated or otherwise badly-written, but one the author is using not to give tension and conflict but for their own purposes of wrecking the setting and humiliating the heroes. They are undefeatable for no apparent reason, only spare the heroes to play with them, and do as they please without having to even pay attention to the fight. They are hated because they serve no purpose in the story and will only ever be defeated by deus ex machina.
Nui seemed to be this, with both her powers and lackadaisical attitude (whereas every other villain could only win with total determination), but her introductory episode showed she was not invincible when she lost her eye in the flashback. She kept up the act and attracted hatred until being disarmed, at which point her cutesy insouciance showed itself to be an act. So Trigger played that well.
The dub seems good so far, except that Senketsu is too normal.
A blog that gets updated on a geological timescale.
