[up]That's kinda how I feel about the Disney Junior spin-offs. Could possibly be good if it wasn't aimed at the kiddies. I end up watching them a little because I have a younger sibling.

They're not intended for people looking for very deep and complex entertainment, though, they're intended to teach younger children life lessons. Thus, I don't know why you would expect otherwise.

[up] Because people WANT very deep and complex stuff - if only under the false pretense of " actively competing with the general Anime market" and "being more adult / mature, or simply for more tan just kids". Stuff repeated ad verbatim - and answered with some of the worst animated shit I have ever seen, save for the few gems out there that didn't last...

Personally... I shall continue to feel this way until someone can make an adult - aimed show as actually hilarious and heartwarming for me as Gravity Falls, Wander Over Yonder, or even The 7 D.

Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.

Well, too bad for them. Little kids need shows on their level too.

[up] Now, whether you agree with me or disagree... EX - FUCKING - ACTLY. What you pointed out... Is something people who like cartoons don't seem to get anymore and continue to forget nowadays - and it kind of pisses me off, now that I've made an effort to grow up a bit regarding this issue and not see it as some black and white thing that is easily dealt with. It just... Isn't.

Disney Junior's (and what it was formerly named.) always had pre-school stuff, I know. I don't expect them to suddenly make it a normal cartoon. I was saying I like their concepts, and wish they weren't wasted on pre-school shows.

I know Taco. There's nothing wrong with that. I meant that for Napoleon, because seriously, I really hope no show with ACTUAL little girls attracts adults because THEN they could give Bronies a run for their money in the creepy department.

Screw that noise. Every fandom has creepies. That's like saying we don't need any more anime, or any more Star Wars, or any more Harry Potters, or any more pretty much any fiction in general.

Re: Little children cartoons- I like things like Pocoyo or Jelly Jamm, or at least I find them fitting their age group and charming in their own way. Most of the Disney Junior concepts, however, tend to seem more like concepts for an older audience shoehorned into a kindergarten mold.

[up] Ugh. You are right. Creepers are everywhere and we shouldnt make our fiction crappier to repel them.

I am more disappointed then anything else with Disney Channels p***-poor treatment of it's animation then anything and seeing older disney properties making shows such as the Lion Guard or The 7D be forced into being only for preschoolers kind of ticks me off knowing they could have been just regular animated programming for older kids and possibly the entire family. Which is quite a shame since as of their burning off Wander Over Yonder and Gravity Falls to XD Phineas and Ferb is the only cartoon on the network outside of Disney Junior and even then is being treated poorly and barely even on the network at all. That's why I am concerned about the upcoming Star Vs the Forces of Evil and any other animated program the gets to the network which I Can only hope do well with the network and not shipped off to XD.

[up]DC and XD always seem a lot more focused on their Tweencom dept. than the animation one, which always worries me.

...7D isn't for preschool kids. They revamped it to be more for 4-11-year-olds.

And the only reason they're plowing through Wander Over Yonder and Gravity Falls is because it's the Summer and they know more kids will have free time to watch them... not to mention how they barely EVER aired them during the Winter and Spring!

[up]Well 7D was originally supposed to be for preschoolers and then evolved into some weird mess demographic I am unclear which it is exactly but I wouldn't put it in the same ranks as Gravity falls or even Phineas and Ferb. Also what I meant through burning the shows off was more of like how nick takes shows that and place them on their sister network in order to release all the episodes and be done with it. But yeah I really hope this episode churning out is just for the summer or poor Wander over Yander.

Yes. That "demographic mess" is NOW.... 4-7-year-olds.

[up] and [up][up] Oh shock... It seems SOMEONE ELSE (other than THAT DAMN PONY SHOW!) is actually making some effort to give something to little kids in general - that isn't condescending and/or potential shit. Well, almost. But still!

I think I love it...

I came out here to have a good time and I am honestly feeling so attacked right now. But seriously I am fine with the fact Disney Junior exists and have nothing major against it's programs but I am disappointed that as of right now it is pretty much the only thing on the network besides generic copy-paste tweencoms as well as the only place for animation that actually gets screentime. Talk about a major lack of variety no wonder why they had that ratings drain. Hopefully Disney Channel gets some more interesting programs in the future.

[up] That last sentence... That is what we all want. I don't want to see DC fail completely (just the bad shit that deserves to for being condescending and stereotypical / bad trope ridden BS!).

I just think if there's one thing we can do right now, it's that we should be thankful, or better yet, grateful, that anything resembling a cartoon show (regardless of whom it's aimed at!) on DC, DXD, or Junior... IS ACTUALLY GOOD right now! And that comes from ignoring those shitty sitcoms, first of all.

[up][up] Agreed I really don't want to see DC completely collapse on itself and die because unlike nick they haven't done anything bad enough to deserve it yet. I a am fine with the fact that it has live action programs as disney does have live action movies but I really want to see some actual honest to god effort in said programs because of right now they can only produce smug indifference than actual emotional responses from people. It is really sad that we have gotten to the point where we have to be thankful for anything resembling a cartoon even if it's aimed at really little kids are even on this channel anymore. Still I can't wait to see Star Vs The Forces Of Evil and hopefully since the main character is female and I'm pretty sure there will be scenes in high school kind of like Kim Possible's that it will do well on the network and not be shipped off to xd.

It's odd that you keep using the term DC because I get it confused with DC Comics.

So this is a thing that exists. I knew they had made promo images for stores-related publicity in this vein, but I never was aware they had made a whole video about it.

What the hell, this is a freaking praising apology to anorexia. The sad thing is it's well animated and looks great, but it's so horrifying. Minnie's mind is truly a hideous place.
