Is that a lot or not a lot, since it's critics?
The Protomen enhanced my life.Y'know, I've just noticed something: in modern Disney films, it seems like the formula now requires the main characters to have an active heroic quest, where their main goal is to Save the World (or at least their locality).
Sure, you got a few of those in older Disney flicks: The Black Cauldron, The Great Mouse Detective, and of course the Rescuers were professional people savers. But in the vast majority, the protagonists' goals were purely personal - they wanted to find love, or see the world, or break a curse they were under, or escape from a villain who was targeting them, personally. Even Hercules, whose goal was to be a hero, only pursued it out of personal ambition.
There might be a baddie like Ursula, Scar, or Dr. Facilier who has a megalomaniacal plan, but the protagonists spend most of the movie unaware of those villainous schemes, only stepping up to save the day when their goals collide with the villains' in the climax.
But since Frozen, each movie now has the heroes aware of some problem threatening their community, with stopping it as their primary motivation. Even Encanto, which is all about personal relationships, still has the plot driven by Mirabel's quest to stop Casita from crumbling.
I'm not saying this change is a good thing or a bad thing - just the fact that there's been such a change is interesting, and I haven't seen it commented on before.
Nice Catch! And no, I have never seen that being noted or discussed before.

It currently has 3.9 on IMDB.
De Romanīs, lingua Latina gloriosa non fuī.Okay, I jumped the gun.
Some better news about the next Pirates of the Caribbean. Comic Book.com has interviewed Jerry Bruckhimer and confirmed the next movie is a reboot.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire. There was a series of books called "Young Jack Sparrow" or something like that, about Jack as a teenager. I remember them being pretty good, I'd be down for an adaptation.
So, is anyone else kinda hoping that they decide to leave Jack Sparrow behind and slap the "Pirates" branding onto a true-to-the-source-material animated film adaptation of the other pirate franchise that Disney now owns?

Muppet Treasure Island? I'm only partly joking.
Ooh, I got to watch that one again.
I like to keep my audience riveted.I'm glad to see you're at least partially joking with that comment, because there's no way they could possibly improve on perfection.
Idea. Disney should do one of their remakes… with Muppets. Muppet Tangled. Muppet Frozen. Muppet Atlantis the Lost Empire. Muppet Treasure Plan- wait.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire. No - they should finally make a Muppet film for adults. And now that Disney has control of the Fox library, I have the perfect idea:
The Rocky Horror Muppet Show.
How's that?

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Brian Henson did an adult puppet movie that wasn't very well received.
No.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Deadpool 4: Just Add Muppets
I think Muppet Star Wars could make a legit great movie.
I am reminded of Defunctland's Jim Henson vids where he mentions the eerie scene of Kermit and the Star Wars leads in a ride.
Muppets Pinocchio.
Give them all existential crises.
Muppet Pinocchio and CGI remake Pinocchio duel to the death.

Alternatively, a movie version of the Spy Muppets game.
Ever wanted to see the most inexplicably horrifying intro to a game ever?
