I know Malaysia is probably not a very significant country in global politics, but I can tell you, something big is happening here right now.

May 5th is Election day for the 13th General Election of Malaysia. The ruling coalition of Barisan Nasional (National Front), which has been in power since the country's independence from the UK in 1957, had been anticipated up to this point to finally lose their majority in Parliament for the first time to the opposition coalition Pakatan Rakyat (People's Pact). Reasons for this change mostly stem from accumulating grievances against BN for their corruption, cronyism, possible involvement in murder, and a whole lot of other nasty things. See here for more.

However, this election has come under heavy scrutiny due to the ruling party flying in thousands of foreigners from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Myanmar and others and paying them to vote for them, also known as 'phantom voters' and plenty of whom had been outed at the ballot boxes. And hours ago, while the votes were being counted, some very convenient blackouts occurred which resulted in ballot boxes that hadn't been there before to suddenly appear, and 100% of the votes inside happen to be for BN. Nothing suspicious here whatsoever.

The election results came in about an hour ago, showing that although many states in Malaysia have gone to the opposition, BN retains the minimum number of Parliament seats needed to form a government. This has caused an epic shitstorm among Malaysians on Facebook and other social media, with many already calling for recounts, protests, and even intervention from Obama or the UN (seriously, check their Facebook pages now, they're flooded by Malaysians). Here's a video parodying the 'magical' voting results after the blackout:

I'm worried about what will happen. My country has already had a horrific riot in the past, and I dearly hope this will not cause something similar to happen again.
