Metal Gear Rising's Mindblowing Revengeful OST (and similar music?)

How much awesomeness can be contained in such a short album? The lyrics are epic and thematic and memorable, the melodies are kickass, the sophistication of the compositions is impecable.

...

I want more. Does anyone know where I can get more stuff like this? It's really been a long time since music has gotten my blood pumping like that!

The Revengeance OST is something like a heavily industrial and more accessible brand of metalcore, and yet I can't immediately think of anything that's exactly like it.

IDK, maybe you could try Breach the Void? Or maybe Celldweller, it has some similar stuff.

Also, there's a bunch of more traditional metalcore (if we can use the word "traditional" at all for metalcore) like All That Remains or Trivium with a somewhat similar vibe.

What about the lyrics? The themes?

It's unlikely that those groups I recommended write about living as a cyborg ninja.

Having said that, I never bothered to pay attention to Rising's lyrics.

Here they are for your consideration. They're not about life as a cyborg ninja. They're about free will, the need of justice to be backed by the threat of violent deterrence, the senseless brutality of the uncaring world, and the different responses one can have to that, from embracing cruelty to despairing in nihilism to surrendering to conensus relaities such as nationalism and numbing oneself in consumerism and hollow immature hedonism, to actually taking charge of one's own life and making one's own meaning.

I wondered when someone would make a thread for this game's absolutely fantastic OST. One of the best ever imo.

As for similar ones, I'm not an expert. However, I think Crush 40 might be similar in terms of style.

I'm more interested in terms of theme than style, to be honest.

Oh, by the way, I'm very happy with what's here.

But, seriously, this practically reads like an OWS anthem:

Well, some of the stuff is really very good. it does remind me of what Celldweller's albums after their excellent debut SHOULD have been like.

I noticed Graeme Cornies is on a few of the tracks. So it would maybe be a good idea to check out his band Triptaka they've always sounded pretty good to me. He also did some work with British electronic rockers Victory Pill and here's a song of theirs with him below.
