Discussion of religion in the context of LGBTQ+ rights is only allowed in the LGBTQ+ Rights and Religion Thread.
Discussion of religion in any other context is off topic in all of the "LGBTQ+ rights..." threads.
Attempting to bait others into bringing up religion is also not allowed.

In this case they're falling back to the old Domestic Partnership, which means that they're dealing with the same legal entities.
Right, but did the actual rights change? Visitation, inheritance, etc?
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.No they legally can’t have domestic partnerships give different rights, they have to comply with European court rulings (which apply there due to them being a British Overseas Territory and the UK still being in the EU for a little bit longer).
Still an asshole move, sadly the British government won’t intervene, especially the current one which relies on the Republican level of crazy DUP to sustain itself.

“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranIf the rights are indeed identical then this whole thing is a colossal waste of time and money because it's literally just fucking semantics.
Bermuda has not repealed same sex marriage. They have repealed admitting it.
It’s going to cause a dent in their tourism. Bermuda is a popular wedding destination, so now, they’ll lose the gay part of that market to a significant degree.
Not Three Laws compliant.https://ph.news.yahoo.com/zealand-passes-law-quash-historic-gay-convictions-021950939.html
New Zealand is enacting laws to finally declare gay convictions illegal and is offering help for those who have criminal records due to that.
I've heard that story multiple times. It's sad that in a country with such turmoil as Egypt, law enforcement officers instead spend their time worried with arresting gay people for trying to get a partner.
Life is unfair...Is Egypt worse than Russia in this regard?
Where there's life, there's hope.At least outside of Kadyrov's fief, almost certainly.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.Bermuda's supreme court has overturned the legislation that removed recognition from same-sex marriage.
to Bermuda's Supreme court.
The Bermudan Government has six weeks to appeal the decision but this is a good sign.

Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.Ugh. I got into a ugly Edit War in the wikia of a manganime series because a Trans character. She is female, she is a freaking Magical Girl because the Powers That Be choose her. When even the Sadistic Humanoid Abomination thinks that a trans girl is a girl but IRL humans have such a hard time understanding it, that is awful.
I imagine that similar stuff had happened with...almost every trans character, right?
It must be even more frustrating to actual transgenders, right?

Where there's life, there's hope.Thanks. The spanish term is quite different and used interchangeably.
Watch me destroying my countryThe Supreme Court of Canada has ruled in favor of several law societies who said they would refuse to accredit graduates from a potential law program at an Evangelical university. The root cause of this refusal was that all students at Trinity Western must sign a "covenant" which among other things bans sexual activity (on pain of suspension or expulsion, potentially) outside of heterosexual marriage.

This is good news, as it not only affirms that limiting religious freedom when it infringes on that of others is acceptable, but it also hobbles Trinity's more long-term plans; getting Dominionist nutters into politics and the judicial system.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects. That's a big bullet dodged.
Where there's life, there's hope.Wrong thread, sorry

That’s the epitome of privilege right there, not considering armed nazis a threat to your life. - SilaswOk, actual comment for this thread: Want to bet that the punishment for pre-marriagenote heterosexual sexual contact will be a slap on the wristnote , while any homosexual conduct will be met with immediate expulsion?
That’s the epitome of privilege right there, not considering armed nazis a threat to your life. - SilaswVery likely.
I know Ninja. I know that you think that all religions should be erradicated.
I'm not gonna forget that old commentary

Watch me destroying my countryShit like this sure doesn't make religion look good. Organized religion has all the same flaws as any other hierarchical group (priests are fallible mortals, after all), and having the ultimate authority not directly available doesn't help matters.
England's Freemasons to allow women - if they were once male
A for effort, but I think that falls rather short of the mark, eh? As per my understanding transgender(ed?) people are not "X who become Y", but are rather considered "Y who are mistakenly believed to be X". And they will still be referred to as 'Brothers'.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! To me this sounds more transparently transphobic than if they hadn't said anything.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."I don't know if I'd say transphobic as such but more of a case of completely and utterly failing to understand gender identity and how it applies to trans people.
So the Bermuda triangle ain't pink... The inverted pink triangle is a popular LGBT symbol, reclaimed from a pitch-black past.
Repealing marriage legality is a judicial headache. What about all the households that already exist?
