Yeah, if Clark and Lois have been together this whole time, Clark and Diana never went out.
My various fanfics.theres an issue of trinity about their new old first meeting
bookworm: the whole point of Rebirth has been about taking the best elements of the N52 and tossing out what didn't work, this time they're being a bit more explicit with that mission statement
The splash page in the link states:
"A timeline and history both familiar and new. With lives realigned, consistent with the memories and experiences of all. Everything solidified so it all fits."
It'll surely not fit all that well, but as long as it's close enough, let's not split hairs and move along.
Well, just read Action Comics
Mxy offers Jon the chance to be his eternal playmate but Jon turns him down, looks like he's staying antagonistic towards Supes going forward. Mxy tells them whatever has been twisting reality is beyond even his comprehension and Oz says a couple of things about true love conquering all and that twin realities are now one and that will be the case for Superman and all those connected to him...which is pretty vague, does he mean everyone will remember two realities? Guess it all hangs on Trinity next month when Clark has the talk with Diana and Bruce
next months action comics will be come clarification for the new timeline of superman
I think in the end, a magic reset button was the only way to undo all that had happened with New 52 Superman and put post-Crisis Superman back into continuity. On that level, it's a bit disappointing, but on the other hand at least the explanation is interesting and ties into the overall Rebirth storyline quite well, and perhaps explains why Superman of all the DC heroes was chosen to be split into two and changed so drastically.
I suppose this means that Convergence: Superman never happened now? Darn continuity/timeline shenanigans!
Presumably Dr. Manhattan wanted Superman and Wonder Woman together as a further step to keep Superman and Lois apart?
Looking forward to more explanations.
That's would piss the Clark/Diana fans off even more than the fact their relationship has been wiped out. And yes, they exist. I know one

Comics Alliance has a interview up. Not linking due to spoilers.
Apparently, a lot of this is still under discussion at DC even so close to publication

First big misstep by Superman Rebirth - making Jor-El look like Russell Crowe. (Face Palm)
Why not make Lois look like Amy Adams then? Seriously, I hate hate HATE when comics think they have to resemble the film. Especially one as shitty as Man of Steel. Or was that in Crowe's contract?
Hey, DC, they didn't make Jor-El look like Marlon Brando in 1978.
Seems like an overreaction to me.
Also why NOT make her look like Amy Adams ?
'Wolf Whistle'
I'd love to see that happen.
All the lawsuit speculation is interesting.
Tons of spoilers for this week's Action Comics here
The Five Year Timeline of the New 52 is officially gone. The Justice League formed fifteen years ago, but were decimated before Superman's marriage by Doomsday. Jonathan and Martha Kent now died when Clark was 21 years old. Clark never had a romance with Diana, and she and Lois are besties. After his experiences as Electric Blue, Clark donned the N52 suit and went into hiding with a pregnant Lois as Intergang targeted her. Diana helped Lois and Clark deliver Jon, Clark temporarily retired when Jon was born and that's when Lex stepped up as Superman. Cyborg is once again responsible for the destruction of Coast City

So, are we supposed to ignore everything that happened in the past 6 years? Has DC Comics ever had a period of no one considering it a Dork Age?
no. Those happened still.
Im kinda bummed i was hoping the merge would save martha
Everything Superman-related, I'd reckon. Everyone still seems to go gaga over Snyder's Batman stuff (can't for the life of me figure out why), so writers will probably still refer back to that as they please.
Maybe? The only way this could get weirder is if they have Superman realize who the writers are and see the readers somehow.
