Superman#7 was super-comfy. Lois' reactions to Clark's heroism (and the fact he broke his promise) as the roller coaster is going up are priceless
Trinity#1 is also pretty good Lois is the issue's narrator, Jon nearly fries Bruce when he lets his powers cut loose at the door, Diana and Lois bond a bit, and we get a reference to the rainbow bat-suit.
I feel it should be mentioned that September 26 (this past Monday, as I'm writing this) marked the 75th anniversary of the premiere of the first Fleischer Bros. Superman cartoon, Superman, also called The Mad Scientist.
Action Comics gave us some more insight into the new Clark Kent this macguffin probes his memories and they confirm they're genuine. N52 Supes appears in a couple of these flashbacks as he places Clark into hiding and later the two are shown coping with the loss of his powers. The Geneticron building vanishes after a mysterious man from last issue attaches some kind of device to the building, and he returns to his hotel room where there's some Apokolips-style spere with the S insignia on it
Action Comics Poor "new" Clark...Lois is annoyed with him already. Some surprise moments with N52 Lois appearing in a dream of Pre-FP Lois too, and Lana confronts her at the end
New Superman Yay, the Chinese JL will soon be fighting their own Starro, and the identity of the Freedom Fighter leader will really test Kenan's loyalties. There's also references to the outing of the "American Superman"'s identity so I'm wondering how far back does this date? Since the new Clark Kent already cleared the air on that
Natasha and Traci13 to be a power couple in Superwoman
Also, Phil and Hitch were originally considered as the Superman creative team
Ooh, interesting. I caught the reference to Natasha having dating a woman in the comic, but it's nice that there's going to be a same sex relationship — although poor Jaime Reyes, he can't be involved in his pre-New 52 relationship with Traci 13 anymore.
He's going to get with Brenda this time. Or JL 3000/3001 Flash who is posing as Ted's assistant.
He's not going out with Brenda. And Ted's assistant looks like she is Tracy, Ted's love interest from his Charlton days.
New 52 Blue Beetle never happened.
Jaime's back home, La Dama's alive, Paco and Brenda are squabbling. Everything is as it should be.
Yep. Keith Giffen basically said, "None of that stuff ever happened. Let's start over."
No ted's assistant is JL 3000 flash. Remember when Giffen rage quit the story he dropped her in the past of a different world. and her name was terri and she looks like the assistant.
I've been going through DC's Who's Who from the 80's, along with it's subsequent updates, and what strikes me as funny is that there's no entry at all for the Silver Age Superman (Superman from the end of the Golden Age up to Byrne's revamp). They have an entry for Golden Age Superman, and for Byrne's Superman, but, while most of Silver Age Superman's supporting cast, enemies, and ancillary stuff (like the Phantom Zone, Supergirl, and Kandor, heck even stuff like Insect Queen and the Yellow Peri) are covered, the man himself is not.

I've heard Silver Age Superman is actually really good. Chris Sims at least keeps raving about it.
A lot of stuff from that era is great. Some of it isn't. Some of it's downright weird. Most of it is at least entertaining, in one way or another.
It's worth reminding people many keep on mistaking Silver Age Superman with Bronze Age Superman. While technically they are supposed to be the same character continuity-wise, the tonal shift between both runs is wildly striking, although still not as much as with Batman. But they still read like fully different characters, because Wein, O'Neil, Bates, Pasko and Maggin had very different sensibilities from the writers who came before them. For one, the obsession with the 'Superdickery' (both feigned and actual) that pervaded the Silver Age was almost fully fazed out.
Personally, out of all of them, I like Maggin's Superman work the best, followed by Bates'.

Me as well. Maggin's Superman novels (Last Son of Krypton and Miracle Monday) are great too. He was frequently able to impart his Superman stories with a sense of the epic. He'd use a number of the Silver Age tropes, as well, but with more of a sense of humor. His Luthor was arrogant but not irredeemable (in Maggin's personal continuity, Luthor and Superman ultimately become friends and Luthor became a boon to humanity). The one thing that, in retrospect, I don't like is that Maggin, admittedly like a lot of writers at the time, considered Clark to be a character Superman played.
I like it when Clark really is a dork/nerd and just plays it up a little at his reporter job. And then tries to act less dorky as Superman. A nerd that could still kill you with a look, but he wouldn't do that unless something went very wrong and turned him evil. Good Kryptonians act like nerds/dorks. Which is also why they wear Nerd Glasses.
Action Comics: Lots of plot advancements this week, Lana tells Clark and Lois she could die from her powers, N52 Lois' computer is accessed and Lois receives a video message basically pleading for her to take over her double's life etc. Finally, we learn the mysterious bearded guy is an alien and he and a partner decide the time has come to take down a "murderer" bearing the S-shield (it's implied they're talking about Lex)
Wonder Woman: 52 Clark and Diana's relationship is brought up in this week's issue so it's relevant to here. Diana finally admits to Steve it was'nt even a romance, just an uncomplicated fling to keep her mind off of diving deep into a relationship with Steve, Steve is with someone else now (and a step-dad), but decides to kiss Diana anyway because according to her, their love should be expressed limitlessly

wait what, no steve isn't married to anyone. unless I missed something but that was his deceased best friends wife and kids and he is looking out for them because his friend died on the mission that got steve on themyscria
So when did Superboy get the name Kon-El? Was that always a thing, or was he originally just called Superboy? I know Conner Kent was Superman's idea.
My various fanfics.Yeah, you're right, I was only ever paying half attention to that story and got mixed up. Yeah, she and Steve are tight again, no complications then. And that's an end to S/WW hopefully for a damn long time
Superwoman#4's preview seems to see Lana calling bullshit on what happened in Action Comics as she receives a visit from N52 Lois in a dream. From the way the scene goes, I'm starting to suspect N52 Lois is behind why people are ok with Pre-Flashpoint Lois taking over and not being noticed for how different she looks in age

Lois seems surprised that everyone is accepting of her at the Planet despite being slightly older looking...perhaps the universe is "adjusting" to the presence of the PF-Kents?
