I assumed that by going back, the angel created all those timelines where she is present. So, in timeline A, with no time travel whatsoever, DeRosso and the Sage kill each other, world proceeds normally, someone gets sent back in time and stops the battle. In this new world (timeline B), Agnes is the one sent back, starting a million new timelines where she is born and becomes a Warrior of Light in every one.
Or am I vastly misinterpreting the time travel rules here? I'll admit it's more confusing than usual, since the time travel we see in the games isn't really time travel, it's worldhopping. They explicitly note several times that there are differences between the worlds that definitely cannot be explained solely by their presence.
I'm I haven't finished it yet so I appreciate it.
hashtagsarestupidOh? What chapter are you on?
I just got the game as a birthday present - just punched out Barras and Holly. Quick question: does leveling up increase stats or is it entirely tied to job levels?
Bit of both, I think.
Heart of StoneHrm. I'm more used to stuff where we're told what stats go up when you level. I already guessed that HP and MP increase when you level - just wasn't sure about the other stats
You know?
I never actually bothered to check what increases stats faster. I know that I maxed out level before I maxed out all jobs, but I did it in the same grinding session, so I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference.
They outright state that raising job level raises that stats you with that job equipped. I guess they thought that "gaining levels increases stats" was so obvious they didn't have to say it.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.Apparently Square is releasing a demo that lets you play through the first 4 chapters of the game for free, and having to pay for the rest of the chapters. Uhhhhh... Seems like this would've been more effective at launch where people didn't know about the second half of the game.

You got some dirt on you. Here's some more! It's already gone gold. At this point it's good PR for BD 2.
Designing the game in a way that made many people not finish it was not a very smart idea.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerI wonder if they had budget or time problems, cause that part just REEKED of laziness. Bravely Second just needs to not do what chapters 5 to 8 did.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!Yeah, Groundhog Day Loops are inherently lazy and should not be used in any story whatsoever. not even movies
5-6 were bad about it. I preferred 7-8 for the more interesting rematches.
I have a message from another time...So, I recently got BD and am currently messing around outside of Ancheim getting a few job levels. Also, I think I broke the game's intended balance with the rebuilding Norendre thing because my Monks (Tiz and Edea) were doing more damage to Sir Heinkel von Elementalweaknesstutorial with their regular attacks (using those beast-killer knuckles) than my mages (Agnes and Ringabel) were with Thunder magic. I guess it turns out that Scissors Cuts Rock after all.
Probably. You will still want a Black Mage so that you can bypass Heinkel's protection of his mooks though.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Feh, his mooks didn't even get to act.
On the other hand, thanks to Lu Bu's Spear and the Cupid bow thing, monks are currently obsolete as damage dealers.
On a related note, since I have a nearly fully unlocked Norende weapon shop, what's the fastest way to make cash? I can easily sustain the EXP and JP bonus conditions, but not the cash one.
Some of the higher leveled items from the compound shop can be sold for around 1250 gold. Apart from that, some of the merchant abilities and passives can greatly increase the gold you gain from battle. Failing that, just grind on some enemies that give good gold amounts.
Mudkip's final evolution is in fact NOT Mudkipperino.Play as Merchant?
I have a message from another time...I heard there's also some cheese with certain nemeses, is that so?
You can steal a glitch Elixir from a Japanese Mammon Nemesis, which can then be sold for much more than normal Elixirs. Otherwise, Merchant is your best bet for grinding money, but beware the Merchant Boss's attack and only focus on the Merchant Boss when you get there (unless you want to steal from the bosses).

Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Hmm... Making chapters 1-4 a demo sounds exploitative at start, but it kind of makes sense. Ending the demo in 5 or 6 would absolutely kill sales of the red if the game, ending it in 7 or 8 is so far into the game that what's the point of spending money on just the final dungeon, and anything past 4 allows for the quick ending, which spoils major things.
I have a message from another time...Here's how you make lots and lots of money in Bravely Default.
First, level up a Merchant so they have Big Pharma. Now set their job to Salve Maker. Equip someone in the party with a Blessed Shield.
Now, find an enemy that can take some hits. Have one dude hit the monster, your Salve Maker cast Big Pharma on it, and whoever has the shield use it on the whole party each turn. Now leave your 3DS on overnight, and come back to piles and piles of cash.
"If you're out here why do I miss you so much?"Obliterate is an amazing way to grind cash.
Unfortunately, you don't get it until very late in the game.
One thing about the sweeper bonus: It gets preserved if you come across a lone enemy. The next group, if you kill them with a sweeping attack, you'll preserve the sweeper bonus count.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.
All the talk about the endgame stuff makes me wonder. how far back in time can the Holy Pillar go? It clearly warp to a previous time in the linked world, and to different potential times, since Ringael's first journey through one sent him back further than, say, Airy. Not to mention the Angel dropping back centuries.
...Centuries, and winding up in every timeline simulteneouly, somehow. Time travel is really screwy sometimes.
