I think I'll just carry over the tedious stuff — villagers, Genomes, and such. I want to keep the experience untainted.

And journal entries. Don't want to lose that list of all the different ways you can create a Rage Orb.

You know, I've had this game since it first came out and I have yet to finish it. I'm going to have to fix that.

Are we still discussing spoilers of BS? I'm mostly spoiler-free, barring knowledge of a few things that happen at the beginning.

Oh god, I just now realized that I can just cast Poison + Poison + Poisona when doing a BP-Engine.

I have been doing it Poison + Poisona + Poison + Poisona all the time -_-

I used Salve Maker mixes that apply elemental weaknesses. Granted, I was only aiming at one person: my Performer.

So I've been playing and loving the hell out of Bravely Default so far. Currently raiding Starkford, though I'm gonna try pg grinding for a bit. Who knew giant sandworms carried infinite money for medical purposes?

When would be the best time to start grinding out job levels in earnest, though? Presumably somewhere at the end of the game, but if there's anything closer, I'd like to give that a run.

As soon as you get to Eternia proper, really. There's a bunch of these mandrogora enemies you can easily beat and once you get enough cash to buy the Growth Egg you can easily hit 999 JP a battle off of them.

Mandrogora in Eternia and starting with Chapter 4 around Florem, are the most rewarding. All bosses after chapter 3 also give 999 JP so they can also be used to grind (there will be a couple of optional ones).

Chapter 4 is ideal, yeah. Grinding for specific skills every now and then is alright, though.

If you do plan on grinding, you might also want to buy the accessories that prevent enemy first strikes, as those can mess up a perfect streak of "no damage". Unfortunately, it's a fairly late upgrade in the Norende village shops, so until then, you could instead rely on "Feel No Pain" from Salve-Maker (or whatever it's called).

So I'm not too far off a good grinding spot. Awesome.

Meanwhile, I don't know how much time I've poured into pg grinding, but I'm already out of money after buying all the equipment and items unlocked so far. Goddamn.

Also, Firetrain is the best summon ever.

[up][up]Don't worry that much about PG, you soon will be able to open these blue chests you couldn't open before, so you will get some nice equipment for free.

Apparently, Bravely Default's re-release in Japan actually had the English dub, menus, etc. already included, which technically makes it the most complete version of the game since it's free of censorship and has the costumes we never got. You'd need a Japanese 3DS to play it, but it's 100% English friendly if you do import it.

I wonder if Second will have one that's similar.

I've seen the original versions of the censored costumes. Nothing of value was lost, I'd say.

Dunno what those outright missing costumes were, though.

See, that's the kind of fanservice that gaming needs.

Pffft, damn. I don't really care whether or not they censor stuff, but that should go in for hilarity value.
