Most bosses can be poisoned if you try hard enough. This combos extremely well with the Arcanist's exterminate ability.

Not just poison. With the Arcanist skill that buffs status ailments, bosses can be Stopped.

There's also the second Rod Special, which makes one select status ailment much easier to inflict.

Arcanist is pretty much designed to have Black Mage as secondary. Group Cast All, Gloom and Status Ailment Amp and you're set.

It can also work having a Vampire as primary with Arcanist as a secondary but yes, Black Magic is the best secondary job for Arcanist.

Since Gigas Lich is undead, is it possible for me to just one-shot the thing with a Phoenix Down?

Bravely Second is more useful in the endgame as a megadamage cap-breaker, although it's always handy as an emergency timestop-heal.

Here's some news for Bravely Second. There are three new characters, one of them is playable.

Ok, guys, crazy idea:

Edea will also return to the party. She was the youngest member of the party in the original, and now will be the oldest party member in this game.

She will also have the Swordmaster or Templar asterisk when you recruit her, just because.

I've been doing some tests on Sword Magic, and it still baffles me. There's no apparent difference in damage when using Fire or Fira against a Fire-weak enemy, which I thought might be the case since that's how it worked in FFV (eg, higher-tier spells only having special effects against enemies weak to that element). However, using Holy against Light-weak enemies more than doubled the damage output. I is confused.

So Yu's a bodyguard. I'm wishing for Agnes herself to be playable but it could go either way with what we know now.

Seeing as there's at least two new playable characters, does this mean that this time, there will be characters in reserve?

[up]What do you mean by reverse? We get the new characters first before getting the old ones?

EDIT: Oh sorry, I read that as reverse not reserve.

My assumption is that the old characters are not playable. This isn't an expansion pack.

Reserve, not Reverse.

I mean, if there's six characters and four slots in the party, having two hang back and not do any fighting.

[up]That's moderately depressing. Tiz is the only character I wouldn't want to bring back because he was just so generic. Ringabel and Edea were fun to watch, and Agnes needs to make up for her behaviour in the previous game.

Well, Golden Sun: The Lost Age was able to have both the old cast and the new characters playable, so who knows.

[up][up]Obviously they would be bosses. There is very little more satisfying than fighting your own characters in well-made boss battles.

So I got the first ending, by destroying the last crystal. I expected it to be worse, I mean, how is it anything but a good ending? Beside saying that Ouroboros might come in the future, there was pretty much no downside. Gonna go get the final ending later.
