All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.The original opening for the 2003 series didn't have one, but they added it in later seasons.
i thought the original 2003 one had it in the extended version.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not. What extended version?

Avatar art by Lorna-Ka.Does anyone know of a way to watch either the 1987 series or 4kids series online legally? I've looked and haven't found any, which probably means they're not there, but maybe you guys know of a site.

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not. With the new movie coming up, I figured it would be a good time to open discussion a bit more. I've noticed that Vernon Fenwick has been given a more supporting role in the new film. What minor villains/neutral characters from the TMNT franchise would you all like to see get a updated, more heroic role?

Me...Sort of an even split between Donatello and Raphael
Leo or Raph. Or both.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! To be honest, I'd like it if they could find some way to make Venus actually work in some capacity that doesn't make people want to hate her in some way that feels natural.
I also find it amusing the way the movie managed to dig up Aprils old Channel 6 crew and use them as supporting characters in the movie. How many years later and between the animated series, comics, and the new movie they're really digging up characters from the 80's series to re-imagine and rework in a not-quite-so cheesy fashion. At this point I'm half-expecting Irma to at least make a cameo appearance in the movie.
Gotta say, as someone who grew up on the 80's turtles, I'm really enjoying the resurgence in its elements popping up.
It's pretty much been made clear that Venus is the one character who will never exist again in any form.
I hear Peter Laird hated her so much, he bought the rights to her so that she could never be used by anyone again.
She's gone, and she ain't coming back ever.

^Well, season 3 of Nick's TMNT seems to have logo/graffiti/sticker(forgot what) on the van(which I guess is apparently supposed to be reference to something called "party wagon" or something?) that reads Venus and from what I remember it had something green and feminine in it, so I guess that counts?
On the subject of the 2003 series, I find that often my favorite episodes are what some call the 'filler' episodes or any episode that doesn't involve Shredder
Some of my favorites are April's Artifact, What a Croc, H.A.T.E. and The Darkness Within which I'm surprised so few fans talk about compared to episodes like SAINW and the Good Genes arc
My favorite episode of that series was where Donatello goes to the future.

Poor Donnie - everyone else gets to go on some cool adventure and do something exciting and there he is being forced to live out a nightmare.
Wishing Donnie was better written in the new show though because 2003!Donnie as been my favorite iteration.
OK, OK not strictly relevant, but found my old Zoo Tycoon 2 game after having not playing in years, I started a new free form game and got a bunch of Giant Tortoises four males and two females named the four males after the Ninja Turtles and the two females after my OCs and what I thought was hilarious was the first two males to start fighting each other was Leo and Raph
We've had threads in the past dealing with the upcoming Michael Bay movie, the Nick cartoon, and the Mirage Comics version of the Turtles. But we've never had, to my knowledge, a general thread for all things TMNT. Feel free to talk about your favorite characters, action figures, or whatever.
I was a litte unsure of where to put this thread. After all, the TMNT debuted in comic form but is more widely known from its multiple animated series. I ultimately decided to put it here, since most Turtles fans would look for a TMNT thread in Western Animation. But feel free to reference their comics or films or any other media appearances in this thread.
Anyway, if you guys don't have a topic to introduce yourselves, what do you all think of Bebop and Rocksteady and could the two appear in other media?
