Huh. That's weird, considering her creator, Radcliffe, is under the "Other" page and she wasn't even known by SHIELD until last episode. She was just posing as Radcliffe's assistant.

Felt like they ran the budget out and had nothing left for a proper Rider/Eli fight so they gave us a hostage crisis instead.

Trying to figure out how kinetic, seismic energy is stored inside a (in)human body and discharged like a rocket engine makes my head hurt a little.

Still a solid episode. Nice to see Mace isn't a bad guy, he's a cool character.

Either that or they run out of ideas what they could do with the Ghostrider. Plus, sometimes it is better to not just satisfy that action fans and do something different. I'll be honest here, the big fights often bore me. They had their big great moment when Yoyo came in and when Daisy pushed herself into the air, there was no need for another one. Especially since the show run into the danger to become Ghostrider feat. Agents of Shield for a while. I am kind of glad that we will be back to focussing on the main cast for a while.

And maybe Joey or Mike even make an appearance. Or Mockinghunter.

I agree that it was time for Robbie and Ghost Rider to take a step back. Now it's time for the agents to shine again, and I'm hoping they might bring back some old friends like Hunter and Bobbi, or just Hunter would be fine with me. Maybe they can finally bring out Graviton, after this LMD stuff is done.

boooooo Battlestar Galactica/Westworld plot and boooooo sticking May in jail again. Seriously, what the hell is up with that this season?

I have the feeling that Ao S will actually do a new spin on the plot.

For example: What if it turns out that PR guy wasn't as harmless and innocent as he seemed and Aida is actually doing what is necessary to protect a plan which will rescue the world instead of destroying it?

I mean it now looks bad, but isn't that kind of the point of Ao S, to throw a curveball when you expect it the least?

I'm sure they will, and maybe I'll eat my words. My knee-jerk reaction is that I find it hard to get excited about Replicant Snatching and A.I. Is a Crapshoot, not because I think those ideas are played out, but because other shows have them handled, and AOS has other elements going for it that I'd prefer they spend that time on. But oh well.

boooooo Battlestar Galactica/Westworld plot

A) Why do you mention Battlestar Galactica like that's a bad thing?

B) Even if similarity is a sin Tropes Are Not Bad.

C) Even if they are, Battlestar Galactica... probably isn't the first or the only plot to feature protagonists replaced by robots. Frankly this could be the start of a pseudo-"Secret Invasion" arc. Something that wouldn't work in the main MCU films.

[up]Oh man, you gotta! It's so cool, it's got Battlestar and Galactica and then the Cylons! The Cylons man!

Yeah, I never watched it either.

Watched a few of the first episodes, but it then ended on the "watch if it gets a proper ending" pile...which it apparently never did, so there is that. At least I can trust that Ao S will wrap up the storyline by the end of the season.

It got the worst ending I can recall ever seeing on television. There's "not sticking the landing" and then there is "faceplanting into flaming manure". Battlestar reboot was the second. I liked the show, but for anyone that enjoys it, or is considering watching it.. skip the last episode. Imagine your own ending. It'll be better. It'll be so much better.

No, it definitively got a proper ending, just one that not everyone liked.

Battlestar Galactica is one of those shows that when it was good, it was really, really good, but when it was bad, it was horrid. Like, there are legitimately great episodes, like "33" and the first half of the final season and a lot of other episodes. But the writers, like those for Lost, never really cared about solving any of the mysteries they set up, they just enjoyed the mysteries themselves. "Why is this happening?" never really was answered, it was more "Let's throw a bunch of cool stuff at the wall and see what sticks."

But still: There must be some way out of here, said the joker to the thief...

[up] Well, that is exactly the attitude I hate and why I have come to avoiding mystery shows. I don't enjoy to get strung along for multiple seasons only to discover that the writers never had anything planned in the first place.

Alright before Battlestar Galactica gets a bad rap around here and I have to come up with a way to choke slam multiple people...

It's a show about a band of survivors who escape from their homeworld, Caprica, after these machines they built called Cylons blew it the f'ck up. The Cylons are so lifelike that they begin infiltrating the cast without anyone the wiser - sound familiar? Suffice to say tension gets really freaking high because the survivors aboard the show's titular ship, the Galactica, have to deal with balancing between military and state, the loss of their homeworld, dwindling supplies, a race of killer machines dogging them through space, religious and political conflicts, and their own paranoia.

The "mysteries" Starbuck, what is Ghost Baltar/Ghost Six/what happened to Earth/what up with the dreams are few and the show does have a conclusion. It's quality is oft-disputed. Even if you really want all mysteries solved and no unresolved book ends the show is still worth watching for character depth and development alone.

And if you haven't watched Battlestar Galactica then jokes like "Battlestar SHIELD" and "So say we all" become completely ineffective!

Not dissing BSG or Westworld, but we had those shows already. And yeah, it's not like no other sci-fi show can use those concepts, and AOS could still bring something new to the table. I'd just be more excited by them doing something other than the Blade Runner plot. Because we've got that Blade Runner reboot coming up as well, not to mention Ghost in the Shell.

Unless the MCU equivalents of Seed and Metal Gear show up. Then all is forgiven.

From what I've heard, SGU got it's "gritty" tone from an attempt to Follow the Leader on BSG, which was enough to put me off. I hate that stuff.

Star Trek DS 9 did the whole replacement thing, too...and naturally the secret invasion is a Marvel storyline, alas one I wanted to see in Phase 4.

DS 9 did it with shapeshifters, though, and yeah, that was great, but that's one more reason I don't especially want to see this subplot again. And I actually mentioned the Secret Invasion-but-with-LM Ds thing myself before the season started, but having seen what they've done with Aida up to this point, I'm just not eager for that be her character arc.

But we're committed now, and I can live with that— you don't need to convince me, I'm still gonna keep watching.

[up] I wasn't trying to...I was busy figuring out how common this idea actually is.

Honestly, after Aida seemingly being a bad idea, the show runners slowly convincing the audience to root for her, only to drop the surprise now indicates for me that the pendulum will swing back again. Because they always do that. Just look at Mace. He was introduced and seemed kind of shifty. Then they revealed that he is actually a pretty reasonable authority figure overall. Then they revealed that he has a secret and makes questionable deal. And this episode we are back with him acting fairly heroic.
