[up][up]Hey, Johnny Blaze isn't stupid. Okay, he was those times he was played by Nic Cage but why hold that against him? tongue

If they wanted to though they could make a show revolving around all the Ghost Riders as a team. Or have each season star a different rider so everyone gets what they want.

I'm still not really happy with how they treated Ward. I liked the initial twist and it was good first season but they the staff kept beating us over the head in 2 and 3 with how they tricked everyone into liking a evil jackass and actively mocking the people that couldn't process that. Complete with making his season 2 girlfriend look like a delusional idiot for liking him and finally dumping all over him in his final episodes with bringing in his brother just to say that Ward was just naturally evil even before Christian and his parents and Garret and then killing him off and making him Hive just when he thought he'd find new purpose.

It really burns me up when shows belittle or mock their audience and that's all they seemed to do with Ward after season 1.

I liked Season 2 Ward. Season 3 Ward...eh. Hive was better.

If you were seriously one of those Ward Standers you probably deserve it.

I liked the protracted fall of Grant Ward, but I'm in the camp that found him boring up until the season 1 twist, so YMMV.

Seemed like they'd written themselves into a corner with Ward this last season, or so they thought (I don't completely agree, but what's done is done). I kind of wish they'd given him a more epic death, a bang rather than a whimper. I get why they didn't, ie. because Ward as a person is not really worth it at this point, but it would have been cathartic for the team and therefore the audience. Along the same lines, the anticlimax of Ward's death and immediate resurrection as Hive just seemed to cheapen them both. Mysteries and secrets work for spies and cult leaders, but big bombastic reveals are probably better when it comes to supervillains and ancient gods.

Could just be me. I couldn't get into Hive. He felt like too much of a generic villain with a stock evil plan.

Season 1 had him as the bad guy no one saw coming (I think everyone realized that Garrett was a bad guy). Season 2 had him as the "bad guy who may or may not get redeemed." They teased a redemption arc for him and then shot it down (I don't think they were teasing the audience, I genuinely think they wanted to tease a redemption arc and then show that it was impossible). Season 3 had him as an out and out villain, which made him far less interesting until his death and transformation into Hive.

Hive was interesting in that Apocalypse-y kind of way, the "I am a god and going to change the world for the better" thing was cool. Although I kind of wish they had kept his skeletal appearance, although I know why they didn't.

Hive's high concept was cool— a sentient disease that wants to kickstart a new evolutionary era for the Inhuman race. The execution of it never really paid off on the early season's hype, though. Partly because all the scripts seemed to have been written with a much bigger FX budget, so a lot of the action scenes and big superpower moments felt like they'd had their wings clipped. This really hurts Hive the most, of course.

As for dropping the skeletal look, maybe Brett Dalton didn't like the makeup? This is exactly the kind of situation where a good prosthetics job can really shine, though, since while it's a big on-set time investment, you don't have to worry about not running out of budget or time to finish CGI.

Yeah the issue with Ward is that as vllian he is just a one trick ponny: he is pretty much kow for tricking people but after that he redemption arc when nowhere, he end being beaten by every member of the team or falling hilariously all the time.

in the end, Ward was to deluted to be a hero but to inefective to be a villian.

In fact talking about Ward, im the only one who think there was dog mofit with him? first he is the loyal follower of Garrter(like atack dog) who try to atach itself to both Syke and Coulson without really understand of what when wrong(like dog without a owner) between this and what Garret did(shooting his pet dog) at least that is how I see it

Nothing is confirmed! That is just a stupid click-bait article by latino review putting together hints which are already known. And it is really pointless to speculate about this now, when the Ao S panel is right around the corner.

I was first "Hell No!" when I heard of the notion, but I am now more open to it. When they go for the second tier version of the Ghostrider, it might be a good way to rehabilitate the character in the eyes of the general audience, if they do it well, they can spin him off into his own series, and if not, nothing is lost, and it might be a sign that maybe they are not quite as eager to get rid of all the Marvel shows on ABC as it seemed to be.

Liveblog of the Agents of SHIELD panel. Lots of fun stuff, including the favorite moments and episodes. Ian's favorite episode was the one where Simmons is trapped on the planet "because I had seven days off."

And yes, Ghost Rider is going to be on the show. "Vengeance is coming."

I'm not looking forward to Ghost Rider stealing the spotlight from the Shield characters if the rumor is true.

My only real exposure to Ghost Rider is via the Nicolas Cage films. I expect this version to be a lot better.

Agents has been a pretty heavily sci-fi show thus far. The supernatural aspects of Ghost Rider really don't seem like they fit with the show's tone. Marvel already made a mistake in contaminating a street-level crime drama with undead ninjas, so I don't have the greatest confidence in this direction for the show.
