It's also technically Not An Example; the Cardassians were trying to break Picard, not brainwash him.
I don't know the context so I will take your words for it. Either way, I suggest pulling.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanReading the description, I don't see how it's Not An Example. It seems to be pretty much what's described, going by the Star Trek example as written.
Not strong, but does hint at the trope, and it's not misleading.

I agree with the pull; the image doesn't illustrate the trope, and the scene it depicts arguably not an example anyway. Should we crowner this?
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! How is it not an example, though? The scene in question is what led to the creation of the trope in the first place (it was originally titled "There Are Four Lights" after the scene; obviously, the current name is clearer).
Picard is captured by the Cardassians. Gul Madred, the resident interrogator, wants him to tell them the Federation's defense plans for the planet Minos Korva. Picard genuinely doesn't know anything, but Madred doesn't buy it, and begins breaking him in order to get the information he needs. In this case, there are four lights on a stand, and he claims there are five, subjecting Picard to intense pain any time he attempts to claim otherwise. By the point Picard is finally rescued, he admits that not only would he have said anything to get the torture to stop, but he actually did see five lights when he knew there were four.
Madred uses torture to break his captive in order to get the information he needs. Is that not the trope? How it works as an image is another matter entirely, but the claims that it's Not An Example are wrong.

Clock's up; locking for inactivity/lack of consensus. No action is to be taken based on this thread.
This looks like a regular interrogation scene to me. Brainwashing aspect doesn't seem to be clear.
