Since we've gotten told to stop talking generally about religion twice in the Homosexuality and Religion thread and were told that, if we want to talk generally about religion, we need to make a new thread, I have made a new thread.
Full disclosure: I am an agnostic atheist and anti-theist, but I'm very interested in theology and religion.
Mod Edit: All right, there are a couple of ground rules here:
- This is not a thread for mindless bashing of religion or of atheism/agnosticism etc. All view points are welcome here. Let's have a civil debate.
- Religion is a volatile subject. Please don't post here if you can't manage a civil discussion with viewpoints you disagree with. There will be no tolerance for people who can't keep the tone light hearted.
- There is no one true answer for this thread. Don't try to force out opposing voices.

Apparently the dry stuff is fine, but fresh items are a problem. I guess it comes down to potential leakages.
In my experience with dogs, they are FULL of leakage, particularly drool.
It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothes@ Xopher:
Oh yeah, that's what you call shopping carts...
Yeah, it's a standard term in most of The Commonwealth.
What you call a "trolley" we call a trolleybus or if it is on rails, a tram.

Keep Rolling OnIf this kind of stuff is really such a big deal, you'd think someone would have mentioned it earlier. I kind of doubt that the concept of "non-halal shopping trolleys" would even occur to the average Muslim unless someone deliberately tried to make a problem out of it, but on the other hand nothing really surprises me anymore, so who knows?
Still a great "screw depression" song even after seven years. Is this silverware kosher?
Are you going to eat it?
Would separate compartments on the trolley not be sufficient? They could put a solid plastic barrier in the middle if they're really concerned.
Apparently there are procedures for making your silverware kosher...
IIRC some really orthodox Jews basically have two kitchens so they don't mix meat and dairy or something.
Back in the day, Israel allowed new immigrants to move with all their stuff without paying customs. This led to some abuse. "Sir, why three refrigerators?" "One for the meat and one for the dairy" "What about the third?" "That one is in case I ever want to eat pork!"
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. It's lia car wreckage. I can't look away. It's a few cogent but also obvious points, drowned in a sea of weak, idiotic jokes. The constant references to terrorism really bum me.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. Why do they associate what the Quran says with terrorism?
"We are just like Irregular Data. And that applies to you too, Ri CO. And as for you, Player... your job is to correct Irregular Data."It's more noting a lack thus far of anything denouncing it, which I think is a bit premature on their part because they're still in the bit going "yo everything in here is totes legit and if you don't believe us then you're blind and stupid and going to burn in hell because reasons".
As a point of interest, a Tibetan tantric choir
Those *reasons* are the reason I never managed to fully, properly believe, even as I desperately yearned to.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. That video never gets old.

"Porta dos fundos" is great. I love the "ten commandments" sketch as well.
Si Vis Pacem, Para PerkeleI should research some Polynesian mythology. I know that it varies by island, so I'd have to select a place to start.
This is a signature.Huh. That's pretty intense.
This is a signature. The deep, yet sometimes paradoxical connection between martial arts and spirituality is very dear to me.

"Trolleys"
Oh yeah, that's what you call shopping carts...
Everything is packaged, how is the non-halal food going to 'contaminate' the halal food?
