There's a specific event mission called "Avalanche Offensive", it's hard to miss.

Bring Warm Coat if you have a shield tank. And Diamond Skin.

Just trust me on that one. EDIT: Maybe not Warm Coat. I'll actually try that one, I forgot how lame it was.

Seriously, the Detron crewmen are demonic in that mission, Diamond Skin actually has a use here. Jury's still out on Warm coat.

That's terrifying. Almost (ALMOST) as bad as release Mirage with Stugg.

In other news, I have tried Torid with the nerf/buff. It went pretty well actually, the wide AOE allows the cloud to ignore the Arctic's Ice Sphere for starter.

Can't comment on crit build yet, every Corpus dropped like flies.

I can't really judge Torid in fairness, I only did the event mission and mine has 4 star. I'll need to do some actual hardcore missions to really judge.

So I have 420 plat now; what should I buy? Right now I've just got the basic rifle/pistol/sword/excal setup. I was thinking of getting trinity; link looks like it could make her rather tanky and healings always useful but i could probably use a new gun. I remember playing with the phage before and it was awesomesauce.

Don't bother with weapons or frames, since you can make those yourself easily. Spend it on cosmetics instead once you find stuff you're comfortable with, since those are plat-exclusive. And always keep a hundred or so saved up to use for more weapon or frame slots when you need them.

But I cant build stuff because I can't beat missions solo because I dont have stuff...

Then just go multiplayer with strangers! It's what I do. :P And if you still have trouble getting ingredients in places far beyond where you've managed to reach, ask around for people to help you, or join a clan of friendly people or something.

Believe me I've tried. I've waited for twenty minutes before hoping someone will be doing the same mission. I'm not sure why it's such a pain for the game to group me with people. It seems to believe there are other people on the same mission so why it refuses to drop me into one of theirs or group me with someone else waiting is beyond me.

I wouldn't recommend Trinity personally (or buying stuff with plat, but I'm cheap and she's really expensive). For "tanky" builds, I'd say to go for Zephyr, Ash, Frost, Saryn or Rhino. They all have pros (and cons), but their survivability is through the roof.

If you really want to get one with plat, I'd say to get Volt. He has the largest shield pool possible and has good abilities which make short work of groups. He's also cheaper than the average on the market.

For a new weapon, Phage can do fine, but it's a clantech weapon, so it's not exactly readily available, since you will need special resources. Drakgoon can be a similar alternative, without being the exact same.

Are you having a hard time with Survival missions and Defense? In that case, your best bet to get resources is to go on not-endless missions (such as exterminate) and gather resources with the container and lockers. The yield isn't quite as high as a good endless mission run, but it's more reliable for solos.

So... tennolive. Is anyone watching it? Hate to sound like grumpybear, but am I the only one who has bad feeling about upcoming announcements? I don't mean lack of hype, but actual fear of... something. Like big announcement will be something poorly thought out, redundant and time consuming.

U14 has been grinding on me pretty bad, so I'm pretty pesimistic lately.

I think that's the general consensus around here, yeah. Not hyped for it, not really planning on watching it either.

Btw, the thing is in 1 hour 30 minutes for those who cares.

I'm actually kind of annoyed by it. Thing's been advertised and hyped so much, but in the end it's just a Devstream in front of actual people.

I'm also pretty sure the announcement won't live up to the hype.

Seconded. That shit should've been in from the very beginning. Especially with a RNG that seems to like to throw multiple of the same Kubrow type at us. No, I do NOT want to buy 15 stasis slot just to house my Sahasas while I try to get a Huras.

Also, other comments I have:

I have a bad feeling about this. Survival is my favorite game mode, I fear they'll just butcher it.

This tells me they don't intend to add depth to the Kubrow Breeding mechanics. Shame, I was kinda looking forward to breeding my perfect kubrow, instead of paying and magically getting a new pattern/color. Now the Kubrows really are just sentinels with a stupid upkeep cost.

Wasn't that supposed to be in already? I remember there being a mention of "teaching Specters and Kubrows where they can wallrun" already.

Ok, this is only my opinion, but I feel I need to state it: I think this sounds really freaking stupid. Not a new faction? Not a big overhaul? Just, like, jetpacks? I feel this will only be a gimmick, something you use once and never look at again unless forced to.

DE, please, fix the parts of the game that needs fixing before adding new stuff!

Also, people are already getting hyped for U15. Guys, can we concentrate on fixing the things in U14? That update ain't even a month old yet!

Overall, massively underwhelmed by this Devstream.

The only way this could work and keep imprints as a thing is if imprints add the respective colors and patterns. Otherwise they're going to make imprints even more worthless.

Indeed. Which reminds me I'm still not sure how they work exactly.

On an unrelated note: just watched the Archwing trailer. So, Ordis can't extract, but he can make a fly-by to drop the wings? Why couldn't he just fly-by and grab Excal while in space? /resuspenddisbelief
