Can I use Leduc from Skullgirls as a Cosmos character? Also, is this considered a normal place by our standards or by fiction standards? In addition, should there be a prologue bit?
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Hm... Well, I think I can assume that the Cosmos had a meeting during the two months, allowing for some to keep in touch while others train and practice. The Chaos Meeting will happen sometime at 6 AM on December 1st in the RPG's timeline. Don't worry, there'll be something for the Cosmos people to do.
First question. Sure, I guess. Second question... Um... I guess fictional standards. Though I'm not sure what you mean. Third question. There will almost always be a prologue for my RPGs.
There's not much on Leduc or the Skullgirls' world so hope you don't mind some generated content and a fan's imagination of the character. Is the prologue an interactive one, because I want to establish some things in-game for Ryan.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Well, I'm probably gonna allow people to do their thing on the hour before Midnight of December 1st, so that'd count as the Playable Prologue.
So, I'm thinking about either Black Beetle from Young Justice or Azula.
Hrm...
Black Beetle, so I'm not the only person with insect-themed power armour here. >.> <.<
...Seriously, I'm surprised at that, seeing how prevalent Kamen Rider was in the original JTTM.
On the flip side, Super Sentai might be getting more focus.
I've got an idea. Pre-Search Azula, a madwoman who'll mostly stay in the background, taking care of planning as she's deemed "too unstable" to fight and Black Beetle for the actual fighting.
How's that sound?
Can a character only have one Power Key, and does each Power Key have to be a proper replica of one person? Plus, do they have any mental affects on their wielders?
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Nah. You're thinking Shards. Shards are the ones that have the weird mental effects such as personality shifts, mind takeovers, and even changing gender for one person.
The Power Keys... Hmm... Probably best to stick with one, and then another as a sort of upgrade. Also they don't have to be a perfect replica and copy everything about the person's abilities. Omar has the Key of Enter, but he's only able to morph into Dark Buster.
If you want.
The thing is, Azula knows she's basically dust compared to her teammates. So since everyone agrees that keeping this crazy manipulative girl on a straight jacket is better than letting her roam free, she's using that to slowly amass more power and then break free and do whatever the hell she wants.
That might be interesting.
...Actually really like that idea for Azula. I mean, not only is it a neat way to get over the power differences, it makes a lot of sense in-character for her to act that way.
Though is it possible for a character to steal more? Though for Kurt Warren I was thinking he got a mix-n-match Power Key. Is there anything supernatural/abnormal naturally in this universe?
By the way, will Jail have his Numbers? How do RP NP Cs work by the way? I was thinking there could be a contrast between him and Ryan in-game at some point.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."I suppose it is. It was in the original RP, but those were Shards...
Psyga?
Answering Questions...
- It would be, I guess, but first they have to find them, and they're made from the willingness of heroes who want to fight, yet don't want to leave their world. Harder to find and make than Shards. Mix and Match sounds interesting on Paper, and if they do work like Shards in a sense, then it would be possible. Stealing from other people, like stealing the Power Key of Gosei Green out from Perry, however, would probably be more difficult.
- Hm... So far, Chaos and Cosmos could count as supernatural, since they are the God and Goddess of Despair and Hope respectively... I'm gonna probably give them better titles than just God... Maybe King of Despair and Queen of Hope... And Prince of Dreams for Helios.
- You have to talk to Deadby for that.
- As in NPCs that are played by GM or NPCs played by players?

Depends on everyone else. The technical answer is yes in the sense that, in typical fashion for me, my SI winds up as an effective clone of one of them.
The not-so-technical answer is that it depends if anyone wants to NPC the others.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Either really, how weird would it be for a heroic person to try a "What You Are in the Dark" on a villain that's not so different from them? Or would that be "What You Are in the Light"? Either way, for the mix-n-match Power Key I was thinking the individual abilities are weaker and only some powers are in it but they're presumably powers that can work well together. Like Telekinesis and Flame Generation would equal Pyrokinesis. I still have to make an actual concept for his Power Key though.
Either type of NPC piloting, how would it work? I'm perfectly willing to do some work with Jail and his numbers, though I would have to study them better. Is alternate character interpretations fine when it comes to canon characters?

"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Not really weird. Also, NPC piloting works like any kind of PC piloting, the NPC are the player's property unless they hand over controls to another person or allow someone else to play as well. For example, Jail would be Deadby's to play. Or with Mooks, they can be played by everyone, since, well, they're mooks.

I, at least, am against alternate character interpretations unless, um, the character is alternate already.
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."Depends. So long as it's not too alternate. Like turning Celestia into a downright tyrant or making Khorne suddenly wanting to bake muffins for all his friends.

I think it depends. If you twist the character around it just to accomodate the interpretation, then it's probably not a good idea. If it's something that comes naturally from roleplay and/or develops organically from the source material, then I think it's fine.
Locking you up on radar since '09Would it be okay if Kurt's Power Key has a minor version of SCP-682's adaptive ability? I'm currently searching for villainous characters for the Power Key and I figured "Short-lived adaption and power sounds fun". Of course I'll balance it, but want to know beforehand.

"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Hmmm, so, just wondering... Will Team Chaos have some kind of home base? Like, some kind of fancy supervillain lair or something?
Just a random thought, I guess.
Plus, it would help considering the nature of some characters, especially in Chaos...
Alright, so... how's it gonna be, Psyga? After all, you're the GM.
