I can't talk of how effective it is, but Deathrattle Hunter can be hella fun. Basically similar to the one in the last brawl.
From what I understand, you can conceivably stick him in any variation of Midrange Hunter or its derivatives. He doesn't really require any building-around (like Gul'Dan or Thrall) nor can he be enhanced by doing so (like Jaina or Valeera).

grahThe deck I have him in has lots of draw to get him as soon as possible (regular combo goes turn 5 Tol'vir Warden, turn 6 Starving Buzzard + Alleycat), but other than that nothing special. (I'm saving dust for N'zoth so I can't do a great Deathrattle deck.)
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableThere is a good reason for me to play Jade. Beat the living shit out of Pirates. Wanna fight cancer? Use Cancer.

IT'S GOOD TO BE ARRRRRRTHAS!
Uni catHeh. I'm having more luck with my N'zoth/Amara/Shadowreaper Priest in mid-ranks. Got up to rank 11 facing relatively few heavy aggro decks, although I lose to them fairly often.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Is warlock weak these days? Or am I just bad?
"...in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach."Warlock is not a top tier deck, although there are two popular builds: a demon deck using Shadowreaver Gul'dan to resummon all your powerful minions; and the old-fashioned Handlock deck, which has been making a comeback.
I've seen a few attempts at Discolock, with and without the quest, and they fall down pretty hard to my Priest deck. Can't speak to other matchups, though.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Vicious Syndicate has had Warlock in the bottoms tiers for a while now (ever since Un'goro the class has been consistently weak.) In their last meta report it was tier 4, with a 44% win rate overall. There's a chance Warlock is going to perform better after the nerfs. After all aggro is certainly one of the class's main weaknesses. There's one huge caveat, though: the deck is rather weak against Highlander Priest, too.
How the mighty have fallen.

Brawl this week is Challengestone, and Deathrattle Secret Hunter plays very well with it.

The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableMy new fun story of the day. On my Highlander Priest, I stole Deathstalker Rexxar from my Hunter opponent. Combined with Raza, the Build-a-Beast Hero Power was free. It felt really good turning the power of the Zombeast army against its owner.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I just killed a Warlock's Imp while they had Howlfiend out and played a stolen Defile, and in the process of dumping their hand they discarded Guldan DK, Lanathel, Dinomancer, and the discard quest reward. XD

The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableUnless he got that Howlfiend out of something like Bane of Doom, clearly he didn't know how to play it without Treachery.
Anyway, food for thought: rotating Classic Set. Yay/nay? (alternatively; periodic rotating; Classic Set (and maybe others) would occassionally come back for a year; or perhaps rotating parts of Classic Set and switching them up now and then?
grahNiiiiiiice.
Notes on the current meta: Prince 2 (Keleseth) is currently being put into half the Aggro / Tempo decks I've seen, much like bacon. Also like bacon, it remains to be seen if it remains a thing or if it's just a passing fad. Looking particularly strong in Tempo Rogue, Zoolock and Handbuff Paladin. There are probably new Prince 2 Aggro Druid and Pirate Warrior builds that need experimenting with. Overall Tempo Rogue is apparently the strongest of the bunch.

Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.Crafted Raza and made a half-assed Highlander Priest. So. Much. Fun! Inconsistent, but still fun. And Benedictus works as a refill... sometimes.
“You can’t be an important and life-changing presence for some people without also being a joke and embarrassment to others.” -Mark Manson.Yeah, it's a lot of fun to play. I don't think I've ever been as frustrated as one card being the last in my deck as I was with a recent game when Raza was my absolute last card. But when things line up, wow.
The best / worst part about it is that there are so many possible builds, I don't think anyone's going to be able to agree on the optimal decklist. Before the nerf, the cycle-heavy builds seemed to be favoured, but with the way things are looking I'm not sure if a removal-heavy list would be better.
In other news... Just got Prince 2 out of my Arena pack. I guess kissing up to royalty does have its advantages after all.

Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.Just had a really annoying ending to a game. It was a Highlander Priest mirror i have some big minions lined up to kill him, he drops DK Anduin which he copied from my deck. I recover and again have minions lined up to kill him, he drops another DK Anduin copied from my deck, again i recover and get him down to 1 life. He drops the third copied DK Anduin staling me for 1 turn. Now i only have 2 crads left in my deck and if draw my DK i win so of course i dont. Really frustrating when your enemy gets to use your card 3 times to save himself while you don´t even draw it.
First game of Fatigue Warlock: I burn my Highlander Priest opponent's Anduin with Gnomeferatu.
Second game of Fatigue Warlock: I burn my Mage opponent's Antonidas with Gnomeferatu.
I lost both games. FeelsRiverCrocoliskMan
Never again .
Meanwhile, Midrange Hunter and Evolve Shaman are super hot in this meta. I do notice an unfavorable matchup everytime its Highlander Priest for some reason.

Join my forum game!SO I did pretty well this season and found a deck that I like playing that is actually tier 1 too (Keleseth rogue), so I decided, hell with it, I'm going for legend for the first time ever. Now that I've reached the last star of rank 2 and immediately lost all of it again five or six times over , I'm kinda starting to lose hope . I guess I have to actually start before the last two days next time.
It's a grind, so yeah, starting earlier is a good idea. The one time I decided to push for Legend, I think I started by hitting Rank 5 no later than mid-month, and only made Legend with 3 days to spare or something. :/
Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.Oh boy
Midrange Hunter, Shaman, Jade Drood and Priest all have tier 1 decks.
I am looking forward to this meta.
Lost to 5 Pirate Warriors in a row. They didn't even use FWA. #WuckFarrior
Thinking of building around DK Rexxar. What are more fun decks with him you have seen?
