I don't think impractical or unsafe has any bearing on the weapons in the show. If they're cool they work.

Hence, a weapon like Wolverine-flamethrower would perfectly fit in this series.

Point. And we all know Stormflower's purpose is to be quickly disabled or knocked out of Ren's hands so that he can go to town with his Supetnatural Martial Arts.

What about...a taser knuckle glove for Ren?

Too generic. We already have those in real life. Also, I'm fairly sure that unless they amp up Aura abilities or are ridiculously powerful as tasters, they wouldn't exactly be helpful in killing Grimm unless they catch on fire Syphon Filter-style.

Swordchucks are for real?! I cannot whether is awesome or dangerous...

Ren has already proved his honor by being the only person who doesn't need a fancy weapon or a Semblance to kick ass. In fact, I posit that his weapons' shittiness is a deliberate handicap imposed on himself.

If Ren's true weapon is himself, imagine him doing all sorts of cool fighting video game moves. Specifically, Tekken and Dead Or Alive moves. I chose them because as you know the moves they do are possible to be done in real life—minus all the obvious crazy shenanigans obviously.

You know, I won't be surprised of Monty planned for Ren to be able to do those moves; if he referenced the Haste attack during the RWBY vs Giant Mech fight from his Dead Fantasy then he can bring some more DOA action.

Alas... Anyway, are there anything on Aura allowing the Remnants to do something like throwing a Hadoken or something? The fanfics I read have Aura classes, and I'm thinking that maybe, MAYBE, that Ren's way of training his Aura is fundamentally different that the Valeans. It's like wielding a rapier and a broadsword; you're basically swinging and stabbing a pointy piece of metal at someone, but the way they're done are obviously different.

I'm just curious, is all.

All I know is Ren's Aura manipulation is different from a Semblance, which he may or may not have.

All these unknowns... guess waiting for V3 is the only way to find out, but... Eh, I'll wait.

I wonder if Ren can perform that kind of moves...on human beings.

It'll be a lot less impressive to see Ren breaking a guy's canine tooth.

That would be... something cool to witness. Only dentists and people going to torture someone can pry a tooth out of their sockets, but doing it with your fingers? That's scary and badass.

Judging from the way they charge at likes of Ruby and Yang despite seeing them slicing and smashing their species like a wet paper, i would say, yes, they got guts.

Certainly butchered Pyrrha's self-esteem, but by jove, I think there's something more to him.

I'm curious: who found out that Rooster Teeth had plans for RWBY up into Volume 5? I'm not racing to erase that from the main page, I just want to confirm that - that's surprisingly good news.

EDIT: I guess nobody knows and it was explained in a video somewhere. Okay.

RWBY is now on Netflix.

It's been on there since the first of the month, according to RT's Twitter page.

"Matt Hullum was quoted as saying that the company plans to "continue and expand" RWBY. It has also come to light that Oum was very open with his co-workers at Rooster Teeth about the plans for the story line, and had clearly outlined, with his co-workers, the story all the way out through volume five, so the team know what was planned for later episodes."
