By the way, according to the RWBY Wiki, Vytal is the name of the continent that houses Vale and Vacuo. Vytal has Signal and Beacon as its academies.
Meanwhile, Haven and Sanctum are both academies native to Mistral.

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.@Antitielchan I believe it was brought up here before...something like "Hunters" was copyrighted?
No, that was actually a joke gone wrong made by a fan over here. Nobody actually filed for a trademark to the word "Hunters."

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.Personally there's one thing that I'm curious about. What happened to Menagerie? Going by Ooblek's lecture it seems to be on the continent in the bottom right of the map but it doesn't seem to exist anymore.
What do you mean it doesn't exist? Given the name and the fact that it doesn't have a country, I would assume it's mostly monsters.
? on the subject of constitutional monarchies; I understand that that's a possibility. If the monarch were essentially a symbolic role, that's fine, and doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that the word "kingdom" is still the only evidence I have that they even exist. If you're a monarchy, there must be a monarch. If there is none, why not just call it a republic?
Should've checked the list.Menagerie is the one on the southeast of the map, isn't it? I think they'll tell us about it when they talk about the Faunuskin. Either the next World of Remnant after episode 10 or way later.
I've always been curious just HOW the Faunus existed. They were never mentioned in the backstory, so I look forward to that.
A stranger is like the shadows. It is so common to the world everyone will just ignore them.Well, they said that the Kingdoms "withstood the test of time" and that smaller villages are a thing.
Maybe Menagerie was an attempt at a colony gone wrong?
The place outside the Kingdoms Blake came from is located there.
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faer@_@
"Faunuskin"...
<_<
They're just "faunus"; no need to add tumblrisms to it.
Guess I've been hanging on Tumblr too long to use that subconsciously, even though I didn't mean to
Still, I didn't know that, sorry.
For real though, the thought of those otherkin thing Tumblr keep mentioning did not crossed my mind when I typed that. At all. I just thought that may be a legit word in-universe for them. Guess I thought wrong
A stranger is like the shadows. It is so common to the world everyone will just ignore them.I'm pretty sure the term otherkin is older than tumblr. Not to mention the term kin itself.
@KOFD: Koschei the Immortal is a Russian legend of a wizard who hid his death inside of a needle which he hid inside of an egg (and then hid inside of an assortment of other things). I thought he made a good basis for a Grimm.
Menagarie is a Faunus settlement.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Duly noted. I guess tumblr has just made it more known among people outside that community.
Still though, they're just faunus. Faunuskin would be more like... non-faunus who think they are or wish they were faunus. Also faunuskin sounds too much like foreskin. >_>
If my 30 seconds of research are correct, Tumblr started in 2007. Otherkin were around before that, since the furry fandom is most definitely older than that.

Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenYou know, I'm really liking this whole "Neo is Roman's Stand Semblance" theory. If so, why didn't Roman use them in Episode 16? Well, it's obviously because he didn't need to, seeing how he was fighting only Sun and Blake, which meant he was more or less fighting only one and a quarter Hunter.
Obviously this is not true and it's not like I seriously believe this, but hey, it amuses me who are you to tell me otherwise.
Also, with Weiss, I like to make jokes about her small breasts. With Blake, it's her (relative, of course) incompetence as a fighter.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. Is it too much to ask for one fight without Blake getting worfed?
The world will look up and shout "Save us", and I'll look down and whisper "Too bad, Waluigi Time" Vote Loki 2016Seriously, even in Black Trailer, all she did was taking out the mooks, which I don't consider the sign of badassery in this particular series anymore. Admittedly, yes, the Red Trailer was nothing but Ruby chopping up mook, but hey, there is Episode 8.
Speaking of which, in Episode 8, in Ruby's The Sling of Execution (that's my name for the move and I'm sticking to it), everyone did really badass stuff, like:
- Yang jumping onto Nevermore's mouth and feeding bullets into its throat.
- Weiss pinning Nevermore to its spot with one slash, launching Ruby and paving the path up the cliff.
- Ruby, planning and finishing this coup de grace.
Blake? Just putting up the string. Oh yes, no doubt that it was a very important contribution, but compared to what everyone did in that attack, her contribution seems borderline non-existent.
Seriously, if Yang needs nerfing, Blake needs buffing.

I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Cinder needs a ninja-showdown with Blake.
Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenYou mean ninja-beatdown, considering how Blake's fight with Roman turned out. I'm pretty sure Cinder is stronger than Roman.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. But they would be niiiiinja-fighting! And, judging by how well Cinder's 'stealth' worked out, I'm pretty sure Blake out-ninjas her.

Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenAnd does she out-fight her? Nah.
Don't get me wrong; Blake is a great character. Just not a great fighter.

I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Just because you're a good ninja doesn't mean you can fight. Ninjas were trained for stealth and assassination, not for mixing it up in the streets.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the Great
Welcome to the logical conclusion. It's where we've been since Volume 1's opening.
