So we're getting a set of flashbacks, if the theme holds.
Kinda curious what they'll do for the sisters, since the traumatic shit in their backgrounds all seemed to have happened well before they were in fighting form.
I sure said that!Four-Philosophy Ensemble is actually a better fit than Four-Philosophy Ensemble in my mind. I'd peg Ruby as the Optimist (for obvious reasons) and I'd actually put Yang as the Apathetic (unlike the rest of the team, she doesn't really have a reason to become a Huntress, she's basically just a thrill-seeker). Blake is the Realist (she has solid, concrete goal and tries to follow the logical path to obtaining them, but is willing to give up and bug out if conditions warrant), and Weiss is the Cynic (has a narrow and most rigid worldview, is judgmental about those who don't live up to her standards, picks what she sees to be the dispassionately optimal path and then sticks to it doggedly).

Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Huh?
One of those was probably Four-Temperament Ensemble.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Blake only fits the Realist, and Yang only fits the Apathetic, if very narrow parts of the category is cherry-picked for them and everything else in the sections are ignored. At first glance, Weiss is a relatively good match for the Cynic, but on a closer look, she's on a partial fit at best and actually doesn't fit a lot of it.
Ruby is a relatively good fit for the Optimist (not perfect).
It may not be quite as bad as trying to shoehorn them into Four-Temperament Ensemble, but I still think it's a shoehorn. Especially since this trope does not form the basis of how the group approaches their problems — which is the key point of the trope.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.Just seen the latest Chibi.
So, Neptune/Cinder. What are we calling that one? My first thought was Lava Flow. The obvious choice is Red Sea, but I realised that if I said Red King really fast, it sounds like Wrecking — which I kinda like.
More importantly, what do we call Cinder/Zwei? It would have to be Hot Dog, surely?

I loved that Cinder could hear Neptune's monologue.

I'll call Neptune/Cinder Heat Lightning. And Cinder/Zwei is Dog Days.

Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.According to this shipping chart:
- Cinder/Neptune is Steampunk or Laguna Colorada (which is a red lake apparently)
- Cinder/Zwei is Andiron (which is the metal thing that supports wood in a fireplace)
I think the fandom sometimes gets a bit over-clever in choosing ship names, to the point where some names become accidentally nonsensical. Andiron is, I personally think, one of those examples. Given that Cinder's association is with volcanoes and obsidian (volcanic glass), and Zwei's name just barely makes him eligible for the paired ('two') firedogs of an andiron, I think that's actually one of the worst ship name suggestions I've heard.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.I'd say Dog Days makes more sense. It's the month of August, which is usually hot, and it comes before fall, which makes sense because Cinder is the Fall Maiden.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.I'm just creeped out that Zwei has ship names.

Some people just have way too much time on their hands.
To quote the shipping chart:
This is a fanbase that will ship anything and everything with a name, and even characters that don't have names yet. That, and the fact that they're taking cues from Barbara.
Hell, at one point the dragon had ships.

That sounds like justification I can live with.
Well, of course. It's obvious from the fall of Beacon that Cinder and the dragon go way back.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading. So how much longer until the Blake trailer.
I saw Jaquces X weiss ship name "daddy issues".....
damn, I love the mess up fandom so much
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"I notice from the shipping chart that Ozpin/Glynda is Yellow Brick Road. I guess that's based on the film because, in the novel, Glinda and the Wizard were both in the city (it wasn't Glinda who told Dorothy to find the Wizard). In which case, Ozpin/Glynda are better off being called Emerald City.
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading. No, Glinda wasn't in the city. She was down in Quadling Country. Dorothy only went to see her at the very end as a last ditch effort to get home after the air balloon left without her.
The Blake trailer goes live in 10 hours for those curious.
80 percent sure it will feature Blake losing some kind of fight.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Awesome. I can't wait to see it.
As is tradition.
"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnYou can watch the Blake short here.
More of a proper introduction to Ilia than something Blake focused, though it's nice to see that she had some friends in WF. Guess chameleon girl will be important going forward.
You can also watch it here.
Dammit, I just checked if they uploaded it on YT...oh well.
Also, check out that sneak peak of (I'm assuming) Ilia's theme.
