This mode is fun so far, though the last thing I did was fight the Explodatorium's boss, who was totally expected but there were some pleasant surprises in the end.

Also, tossing bombs at minions is funny.

Why didn't Plague Knight just kill Shovel Knight? Heh heh heh.

[up][up]I've lost count of the number of times that jackass killed me.

I dread that fight now... I wonder if there's a strategy I can do so I won't die to prop knight... maybe Cascade bomb on the ground repeatedly so he never hits me...

Sentry Fuses with standard black powder or spark powder can be quite effective. When he flies up, either mine the center area with Sentry Fuses so he keeps running into them, or toss lob or float casings at him, with cluster powder. And don't be afraid to abuse the smoke bomb.

I have a message from another time...

Propeller knight's stage represented about half of my deaths in my playthrough (60/~120), and about 3/4 of that was Propeller knight himself or the rooms leading up to him.

I used cluster powder with quick fuses when was on the ground. When he was in the air, I used lob casing. I also abused the hell out of vats.

If you're having trouble getting it to work I used the code than exited the game. It installed after I used the code even though I beat the main campaign.

The code is hold attack on the main menu and press up, up, right, down, left, left than release the attack button.

I thought he meant he got the cloak through dancing. Since there's a dance sequence leading to the ichor? I dunno. I didn't quite think that one thruogh.

What I meant there was that getting the Treasure Trappings was the one of the very last things I did in that play session, so I'd just assumed you had to dance to use it. I was wrong, apparently.

[up][up] The actual reason I was failing in the menu, is that I was holding the JUMP button while inputting the cheat code. [lol]

So far I made beat Polar Knight. I didn't play Tinker Knight and Propeller Knight's stages yet.

But currently the only boss I died on were the Specter Knight, Polar Knight, and the guest characters. The hardest part for me is still getting used to the platforming.

Just beat Plague Knight's story!

The final boss was really unexpected.

Mona and Plague are a strangely cute pair.

Had fun blowing stuff up all the way!

Still can't believe that an update with this much content was free. Which says something about the current state of the game industry...

Well it wasn't necessarily free, it was funded by the IGG campaign. tongue

What are the other campaigns supposed to be? It seems like I heard King Knight was one...

And yeah, I kind of expected I'd have to pay for Plague of Shadows since it's just as much content as SK's campaign

It's King Knight and Specter Knight.

They really outdid themselves with Plague of Shadows. I can't wait for the next two characters.

I've been playing some of the challenges.

Some of the Plague Knight ones offer good combinations to defeat a boss even at low health.

Others give you a combination specifically designed to be harder to hit them with.

Damn challenges be challenging.

I'll pretty much echo Geist-Fox's post; I, too, just completed Plague Knight's story. It was a blast (no pun intended).[awesome]

Once I got used to Plague Knight's controls, the platforming wasn't too hard to reacquaint myself with; most of my platforming deaths came from being too impatient. The bosses were largely hit-and-miss as far as difficulty goes; Specter Knight, Propeller Knight, and Mole Knight gave me the most trouble.

I'll probably go back and get every Cipher Coin and Music Sheet, which I haven't doing for Shovel Knight yet, but as far as I'm concerned, I'm satisfied with Plague of Shadows. Playing it reminded me of how much I absolutely adore this game (while simultaneously making me regret missing out on the Kickstarter).

So the last two are King Knight and Specter Knight, eh? I guess that makes Specter's portion of the epilogue a bit more foreshadowy. I kind of wish someone other than King Knight got an extra episode (he's my least favorite of the Order), but I'm not going to hold it against anyone. Maybe his episode will help endear me to him.

Unless there's another "Geist something" user running around here, just "Geist" works. Or "Fox". Or puns of them. Don't really mind either or.

... Though I did try to take Geist here, but it was taken. Though that is probably a pretty generic username to start with.

ANYWHO! Some last Cypher Coins in stages continue to elude me! I combed Pridemoor as thoroughly as I can and still can't find the damn thing!

Ah, yeah. King Knight is personally the one I most like to hate the most since he seems so pompous. But I'll play through it anyway when I get the chance.

I haven't gone and collected all the Cypher Coins or started doing the challenges yet though.

I think King Knight will be fun because the game loves to dunk on him "I also found out his crown isn't real gold", but he does seem the most "vanilla" of the knights. During the vote I was rooting for Propeller Knight myself.

I'm having so much trouble fighting the Black Knight in the Tower of Fate.

Propeller Knight didn't give me this much trouble I defeated him on my 3rd or 4th attempt.

I can't remember but I think I voted for either Propeller or Tinker.
