Formspring, aka that website where people can ask each other questions and which some media creators use to interact with their fans, is shutting down by the end of next month. March 31st is the last day questions can be asked or responded to, and, if you want to archive all your data from it, you have until April 15th to do so, after which the site is gonna be wiped from the face of the earth.

I'm kinda sad to see it go. Though I got burned out on it rather quickly, I was an early adopter of it (as were a few of my high school friends), and it was also the method which I used to connect with some media creators (though mostly just Proton Jon). Anyone else here ever use it?

Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.

Except for My Space or digg, which might as well be dead but still stubbornly are persisting.

So, turnip porn? Which I'm sure exists somewhere, but I don't care to look it up.

>2013
>not using Quora

INT is knowing a tomato is a fruit. WIS is knowing it doesn't belong in a fruit salad. CHA is convincing people that it does.

Is this really the year of discontinued Internet services?

I think Formspring could give a longer notice than just a month, though.

[up][up]Never heard of it.

And I take objection to the idea that I have to keep up with trends and fads. I'm not in middle school anymore.

[up] At least they sent out an email. It's been so long since I regularly used the site, I wouldn't have known if I didn't just check my email.

My Formspring inbox says I have a new message, but never displays it. They said it's a glitch and they have full intent to restore that message to me eventually. That was over a year ago.

I haven't used Formspring in 3 years. Though I don't really think Quora can compare to it, I think the difference between them is more like Blip.tv vs. You Tube, in that both of them have the same basic premise but use the premise for different purposes.

I'm mostly disappointed that I won't get to read Josh Sawyer's insights into Fallout: New Vegas any more.

With cannon shot and gun blast smash the alien. With laser beam and searing plasma scatter the alien to the stars.
