This thread is for questions regarding creating or cutting pages in Franchise/ namespace and Franchise Index.
As a reminder, being a Series Franchise doesn't mean a Work can have a Franchise/ page. For that it needs existing (not Red Link) and connected (official releases for the same trademark) Work pages in 3 different Mediums, not 3 pages for the same property in general.
If it doesn't meet those criteria, the section about related releases can be on page of the first installment.
For instance, Video Games. Take a look at this page. I guarantee that we don't even have that many listed in the Franchise namespace.
Also, I set up Franchise pages for Duke Nukem, Deer Hunter, and Grand Theft Auto.
Wouldn't it be more appropriate to list multiple games in a Franchise page as opposed to a Video Game page?

Nothing is saying it is or isn't
It released before the end of the programming block however
Maybe the advertisements or the cartoon cartoons comics need a page first
Would Powerpuff Girls Z, which is an anime, be considered part of the franchise for namespace purposes? Granted that came out after the rebranding and it didn’t air on English Cartoon Network.

Maybe I dunno
No, that's part of the Powerpuff Girls franchise but not Cartoon Cartoons as a whole.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Should X-Men Film Series be moved to the franchise namespace as it has 3 namespaces (films, series, and video games) that have their own pages?
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadFranchise.Steam World was recently made, but it only has one medium (video games). Furthermore, there is no trope list, so should the page even exist?
Avatar by Butterscotch Arts. Used under license.Fallen London now has:
- VideoGame.Fallen London
- VideoGame.Sunless Sea
- VideoGame.Sunless Skies
- VisualNovel.Mask Of The Rose
- TabletopGame.Skyfarer
(And VideoGame. The Silver Tree if we ever create it)
Sounds like a Franchise candidate?
Indeed it does
Should Franchise.Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi be cut? All the works are redlinked except for the show itself and a random Flash game.
You've been kicked out of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. :(For the time being
I suppose so
Unless someone manages to make a comic book page in the nick of time
This is a stretch, but could it be salvaged as Franchise.Puffy Ami Yumi with Music.Puffy Ami Yumi as the "base" work?
(Music/ being the base is weird, but technically allowed.)
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.I don't see why not
Question
Given Adam Ruins Everything and how it redirects to series, it it say got a video game, would it be enough for a franchise page or would the redirecting wow it be essentially one, and it would need for example, a comic book run as well
What is the third medium for Franchise.Law And Order I could only find tv shows and one video game?
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadI don't see a third, either.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool. There's Film.Homicide The Movie, but the page wasn't linked on the Franchise page. Just fixed that.
This is the Law & Order franchise, not the John Munch franchise. Homicide: The Movie is quite obviously the movie of Munch's debut series, Homicide: Life on the Street, and barring Munch's presence has no links to L&O.
(For that matter, Homicide itself is shoehorned onto the page via Munch.)
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.bumping my question
Would it be possible to make a Franchise.Catwoman page. She has comics, Film.Catwoman 2004, VideoGame.Catwoman 2004, and WesternAnimation.Catwoman Hunted. I know that she is also part of the Batman franchise but Venom is part of the Spider-Man franchise and has his own franchise page.
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadYeah, I don't see why not
given how there seems to be consensus on separating animated movies from animated shows
I would like to bring up Codename: Kids Next Door
Not only is there an animated series but also movie (Operation: Z.E.R.O.) and a pilot (No P in the OOL) as well as a video game (Operation: V.I.D.E.O.G.A.M.E.) it's also made crossover appearances but they don't seem to contribute to if something constitutes a franchise page or not
Yeah, that's the problem. Unlike with Nicktoons, most Cartoon Network crossovers and adaptations of the era didn't use the Cartoon Cartoons branding.
There's a theoretical path for Franchise eligibility, but it relies on The Powerpuff Girls Movie counting, which means we're back into the "animated feature films count separately" proposal. I'm unaware of whether that movie was branded as a Cartoon Cartoon.
