That would make the most sense.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Well, if this is a sweep on Central's side, that makes it five on five. That means that hypothetically everyone gets a chance to beat someone before inevitably being defeated and it comes down to either Soma/Erina vs Rindo/Tsukasa, or perhaps a one on one with Soma and one of them depending on how things go.
But as I'm for seeing Soma defeating Eizan and Tsukasa, that means that someone else will have to suffer a lose before they get another win. Isshiki has already one once, and made his point, so he's the next best person to be taken out.
Considering he'd be their strongest member at that point, Isshiki losing to Tsukasa would be the next logical step as it help establish his final boss status by taking out their strongest.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. That is my thinking as well.
You know, it's a shame that we never learned if Erina's position actually reflected her presumed skill level or if it was just because everyone else got moved up or something, before all this happened.
Honestly, I'm afraid he's gonna find a way for Erina to not even compete at all, just so he can keep her level of skill as ambiguous as it's been since the series started.
There's no reason to think that'd happen, and I'm probably just being paranoid, but still.
One Strip! One Strip!I'd be extremely annoyed by that. But I have faith Tsukada realizes that he's been cockteasing how good she is for a while.
The writing here at least implies that she's still the best freshmen at least, so it makes no sense for her to not compete at least once when they start losing members.
The only one I can see her going up against is Rindou though.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I'm assuming she and Souma will probably end up having something like a 2v2 against Rindou and Tsukasa, even if it's not formally such. I don't think which one is officially against which will actually matter.
You think the whole assisting each other thing is actually going to come up?
Probably only for that match. Souma and Erina will work great together and Tsukasa and Rindou will have terrible compatibility.
I could see Takumi and Megumi working together first, since their individual power levels are lower than their likely opponents Somei and Momo's.

Yea, I was thinking of that too. My predictions is that after this sweep, Erina, Takumi, and Megumi will go up against Rindou, Somei, and Momo respectively. It will obviously be another sweep. Then Soma settles whatever score he has with Eizan, and Isshiki loses to Tsukasa. Then it's like a 4v1 against Tsukasa since none of the rebels would be able to beat him alone. And that's when the teamwork comes in.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.We also never got an answer on whether you can help out even after you lose. I'd guess no, but, that's not confirmation.
Phrasing it that way sounds out of place, and yet perfectly fitting at the same time.

I find that the 4v1 battle is probably most plausible way that the rebels can win against Central, since Tsukasa's self-centredness and inability to completely trust anyone else with his cooking is his greatest weakness.
The way to emphasis that would probably be giving him a partner and then having them completely fail to work together.
Hmm. Rindou would seem the most obvious candidate for that, but they've known each other long enough that I can't quite see him failing to work well with her. So really, to make that work, they'd have to somehow beat Rindou first. Which strikes as almost as tall an order as beating Tsukasa.
He didn't want Souma as an assistant because of how erratic he was. Rindou doesn't strike me as particularly orthodox and reliable.

The whole assisting thing seems to have been forgotten completely.
6090: But he'll probably just do his own thing, and wouldn't "fail" to work together because there'll be no attempt at teamwork to begin with, unless Rindo actually sabotages him or something.
It's gonna come up again later for the convenience of the plot.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. Are team members who have been eliminated still allowed to assist or are they just done all together?
I'm baaaaaaaaaaack. Literally just finished v16. I've now been introduced to our bad guy. Reminds me of a Yu-Gi-Oh villain, really.
Considering how Rindo is, I don't think it's completely out of the question for her to intentionally lose a match just because she thinks it'll liven this all up or because she wants to see to people go at it or something. I doubt it'll happen, but at the same time it's not something I'd put past her. If that were to happen though, I doubt it would be this match.
As far as Tsukasa goes, there's really nothing concrete supporting Rindo being better than him, but if that is the direction they want to go, him being eliminated before her also sets that up. Like with Rindo, it wouldn't be this match, but a later one most likely. Not really sure how that would pan out, but it's something else to keep in mind.

I find it interesting that despite being essentially the main antagonist of the arc, Kuga voted to keep Senzaemon while the "friendlier" Rindo voted him out.
You mean the last arc right? Kuuga stops being an antagonist really quickly.

I mean, if the Central sweeps this round, I can see Erina coming to field in the next one, since they couldn't afford to lose it.
