Not to mention that it was a challenge for Alice's club, that fodderguy's specialty was a toned down version of hers and it would have been glorious to see her show him how it's really done, and that Ryo'd already had three times as many matches as her by then.
I think a worse example is how all of the first round losses in the Autumn Elections were majority female (and Takumi) and two of them were shut out.
And to twist the knife, Alice is scolded by Ryou after her loss and rather subtlety implied that he was better than her.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. All the girls losing in the first round was noticeable, yes.
The way all the matches went was fairly predictable, and even without prior knowledge guessing who would win was easy. I hope this manages to mix it up better, outside of this first round.
I don't usually like complaining about things taking too long but this does feel oddly drawn out. It's a weird place to try and develop Isshiki and probably Tosuke.

At this point, I feel like that's just the thing...dragging ensues when Shokugeki's happen. I get wanting to detail the preparation of the dishes, but it gets really tiring when you have to read this on a weekly basis. It paces far better in a serialized format.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.On a more positive note, Rindo is still funny.
It doesn't feel that dragged out to me, really.
Is that a new ship on the horizon? Hmm, interesting.
Also, Rindou in a ponytail and fanart? Thank you so much.

"That's a to-go order. See! It's already gone!!"Yeah, this match doesn't feel dragged out to me either, unlike Soma vs. Hayama. It helps to keep switching up the perspectives, revealing stuff about the characters, and have a consistent flow of action.

I barely feel like we've even touched the surface of this current battle.
"That's a to-go order. See! It's already gone!!"I think LSBK means how the focus keeps shifting; first we're on Soma vs. Nene, then on Isshiki, and now Isshiki and Nene.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.So complete shot in the dark: does anyone think the buildup could be the Rebels potentially sweeping the Elite 10 until it's down to Eishi and Rindou, who proceed to Curbstomp everyone until only Souma and Erina are left?

No, because if the rebels sweep the first two rounds they win immediately.
This is not particularly long match, but the fact that they telegraph it how Souma is totally gonna win no problem makes me feel like it's dragging on. If you're not attempting to build a suspense, then get on with it, we have probably like a dozen more matches ahead of us.
But at least Nene's love of the ultra traditional explains why she'd support Azami, somewhat at least.
No they don´t. Only when all chefs of one team are defeated does that team lose. Or did i misunderstand you?

They mentioned that if one team sweeps two rounds in a row they'll win automatically.
I apologize then, seems i wasn´t attentive enough. It could still end with only Rindo and Eishi left one of them just has to be in the next 3 person team and win, although i would find that kind of situation rather boring
The way it works is that the last team standing with the most members wins, so if the Rebels won every match, they'd win by the end of the second set of matches.
And all things considered, this match isn't actually dragging. They only started cooking about 3 chapters ago and they're already on judging. If they rushed through it, then we'd call even more bullshit on Soma winning.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. No, that's not how it works. Either they sweep two matches or beat everyone individually. If the next round were to be vs. Eishi and Rindou and they win and the round after that the Rebels swept the rest of the Elites, they still wouldn't win until they can beat Eishi and Rindou. In fact, that would actually put the Rebels in a bad position because they'd only have two chances to take them out before the sweep rule comes into play.
Aw, I forgot about that rule. Welp looks like we're going to be in this for the long haul then lol
Honestly, for the most part I have no idea how this works. I'm just going to assume that it keeps going until Souma and Erina beat Tsukasa and Rindou and until then nothing really matters that much.
You're not even remotely interested in any body besides Soma and Erina in all of this huh
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I'm curious about Tosuke, but how he's going to go down is fairly easy to predicate. Same for Isshiki, really.

Dunno why you'd get that from what I said.
Ryo vs. Heating Guy was the most egregious example I think. Ryo straight up is only doing it because Guywhosenameicantremember pissed him off, while at the end Alice's makes a big point about how she hates Azami and what he's done and doing.
That probably would have made a stronger impression if she had actually been the one to beat him.
