As Sonic runs through the cave, however he can start to hear loud squeals of pain and anger from areas behind him. As the squeals start to echo, the squeals combined with Sonic's running causes a large group of squeaks to begin in front of him. As Sonic runs through the next room, he'll notice a group of Woobat swarming in circles trying to find the noise and clearly looking mad are now blocking the path.

Sonic slowed down when he heard the ever increasing sound of squeaks surrounding him......and forced to a screeching halt when he heard a veritable wall of it appeared in front of him. Sonic pointed the flashlight he got in front of him. A veritable wall of blusih-white balls of cotton with mouths, wings, and heart shaped noses block his path.

"Woobat, huh?" Sonic said. "Finally a challenge! Alright Miles, let's do this!" The speedster than jump towards the swarm and with a spinning downward kick, followed up by spinning along ground while kicking at the swarm. Miles, meanwhile, Used Foresight and then followed up with Quick Attack upon as many as of the Swoobat as possible.

DAMMIT MARK, STOP HOTTING HELPY!!

-Krok, without waiting for Khârn's command (though it would have made little difference), starts biting at any of the Woobats coming near.-

Meanwhile Iskander was busy. Not busy fighting but busy observing. Recon was a war in its own- to watch from the shadows the enemy while not exposing your own weakness. He had already seen some others fighting- there was the sandy haired boy with a klink fighting a geodude, there was the man with the Totadile (He needed to keep an eye on that one as well), there was the strange man with the ghastly....in general a lot of people.

Right now Iskander was watching the fight he was anticipating- Zuko and Toph versus a diglett. It was going to be interesting to see how they functioned as a team.

"Well, Moodbender!" Toph said, laughing as she noticed Roku running into the fight. "Didn't expect to see you and Roku here!"

Didn't expect to see Big Guy here too. Toph added mentally. Iskander didn't know, but one of the vantages of Toph's seismic sense was that she could sense heartbeats. Which meant she knew Iskander was nearby, watching. Alright, if he wanted a show... that's what he would get.

"Looong story." Zuko replied, still trying to dry himself off with a few flames as he awaited the result of Roku's attack. "One of them involves a lake and Roku sitting on my head because he didn't want to swim. I'll tell you all of them later. For now, focus on the Digletts!"

As Green rushed through the caves, she turned a corner into a small chamber... right into the back of Nadeshiko. A startled "Uwaah!" came out of her mouth as both of the girls tumbled into the water... right among the school of Basculin.

A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.

Basculin

As Emolga somewhat angrily and slowly tackles the Basculin it flies back, clearly not having expected an attack. A chomping noise can be heard as a small swarm of Basculin start to swarm Nadeshiko. Jets of water start to be fired from the mouths of the Basculin hopefully trying to hit Emolga though these Basculin seem unused to hitting flying targets. A few jets of water also aim themselves towards Green and Roxy as if sensing a vulnerable target.

Zubat Swarm

The Zubats follow the sound of the Growl and as they're knocked off-guard by the growl's disruptive properties a combination of the bubbles and the water gun sends many of the Zubat flying into the wall. As some of those Zubat slowly fly up and start to rejoin the swarm, Mersamus's Gastly starts to lick the larger group causing the ones sent away to stay flapping in the air unsure if they should stay or go. The licked Zubats mostly seem unaffected besides about 5 or so that seem to flapping their wings in a matter to indicate paralysis. Angry chirps can be heard from all the licked Zubats however as they attack Erebus in rage.

—- Diglett Parade

The one scratched by Diggy makes a high-pitched growling noise. DIG-LA-DIG! As the Diglett says that it buries itself underground preparing to launch a strike right behind Diggy and trip Diggy. Meanwhile, while a few of the Digletts avoid Roku's mouth, the ones bitten by Roku seem frozen and stunned as they're flinching from the unexpected bite sinking deep into their flesh.

Near Iskander, however one or two of the Diglett noticed the small seismic waves the hefty Iskander made while walking and went over to investigate. Before Iskander has time to prepare himself the Digletts dig up from under his position, hopefully tripping him and leaving him vulnerable.

Woobat Bonanza

Miles seems to be almost like a pinball as he zips back and forth between the many Woobat in the swarm trying to hit as many as he can in one Quick Attack. A few Woobats are sent flying as a result of Miles's attack and happens to land in the near vicinity of Kharn, giving Krok a decent amount of Pokemon to bite down on. However suddenly Miles seems to stop as his energy tires out for a few seconds.

During those few seconds the Woobat start to fire weak telepathic forces around the swarm, though these forces will fade away after about 15 seconds.

Geodude Jamboree

Jack hears Scout's question and turns around. "Oh, hello there! Wasn't expecting anyone else to be part of this fight. But that's probably good! That Geodude looks angry and I might need some help! You got anything with any grass or water?"

DUDE! DUUUDDDEE!

Jack jumps, seemingly startled and laughs a bit to himself. "Ah, yes almost forgot. The angry Geodude trying to pound our faces in. Sally, Confusion!" Sally nods and purrs in satisfaction. As she does so, the Geodude is telekinetically pushed back, landing hard into the wall and causing a small shake throughout this part of the cavern. As the shake occurs, however a few more camouflaged Geodudes emerge from the walls surrounding both Jack and Scout.

Jack giggles awkwardly. "Well that wasn't exactly the plan whatsoever. I hope you've got something good because we're honestly surrounded!"

As Jack says this a few of the Geodudes chuckle and casually take off small rocks from their body and start throwing them right in front of Sally as if to scare her. "Hey, knock it off!" Sally tries to sound confident as she too speaks in her defense. Ra...raa...Ralts!

The Geodude harassing Luke on the other hand falls into the gears of Artoo. As the Geodude flails a few rocks become loose from his body and while they mostly fly harmlessly into the surrounding walls, one suddenly become stuck in Artoo. As Artoo's gears slowly halt with a painful sounding grinding noise, the Geodude escapes from Artoo's grip and stares directly at Artoo. Soon the Geodude starts punching its hand into its fist once again but this time the fist becomes loose only to be thrown straight at Artoo and some of the more essential parts of the gears.

A growl emerges from this Geodude's seemingly non-existent throat as if to show its anger and offense at this assault.

"Diggy, he's going to come up behind you!" Toph yelled once she sensed the Diglett burying itself underground and moving to the other side. Diggy responded by jumping forward, barely doging the Diglett. "Use Scratch again and knock him out of the game!" Toph said, and Diggy responded by nodding and swiftly turning around, attempting to Scratch the Diglett once more.

"Don't overdo it, Roku!" Zuko said. "We just need to stun them so we can get moving!"

Roku let go of the Diglett, growling at it as he took a step back. He looked back at Zuko as he said "get moving". "Use Roar!" Zuko said, pointing forward as Roku took a stance and let out his strongest and scariest roar at the remaining Digletts, trying to drive them away.

Emolga flapped her wings and flew up as Nadeshiko got soaked and pushed back by the force of the water gun. Emolga noticed the stream of water leaving the fishes' mouths and attempted to use Thundershock towards the jets of water. She had no worry about shocking Nadeshiko in the process, as she remembered being used to experiment how the SOLU could react to electrical attacks. Nadeshiko remembered this too when she looked at Emolga's cheeks.

"Now, Emolga, use Thundershock on the SOLU." Nadeshiko's researcher, a man◊ in a white uniform wearing red-tinted glasses and having simple and short black hair, said to the Emolga. Emolga then shocked the gray slime. The slime fizzled a bit, but there was no lasting effects on it.

"Th...Thu...Thundershock!" Nadeshiko shouted to Emolga. Emolga smile. Finally, an attack she can use.

"EMOLGA!" Emolga shouted, her cheeks turning hot white. She shot out a lightning bolt towards a stream of water.

Green's eyes went wide. What was the other girl thinking?! Firing electricity into the water would just get herself shocked, and both Green and Roxy in the process! "Rox, get us out of the water!" She shouted in a panic. "Raaa... Roxy began grunting as she and Green were encased in a weak pink aura. "AAAAAAA" The noise intensified to a screech of effort as she used the Confusion attack to try an lift herself and her trainer away from the soon-to-be electrified river.

Slowly, the two rose into the air.

"Uh, yeah, OK." said Scout, pirouetting out of the path of another Geodude hurtling across the ground toward him. He fumbled for the one Pokeball on his belt, but his throw was the practiced curve of what was apparently an expert pitch.

"Alright, uh, Snively, get out there and kick some ass! Yeah!"

With a click-hiss, the Pokeball opened, releasing a cloud of light that coalesced into the shape of a crouched and battle-poised Snivy. Tail twitching, it hissed and swayed its head from side to side, staring down the Geodude approaching it.

"Yeah! Now we're doing it! Okay, uh..." The gangly boy trailed off as he tried to remember what his new Pokemon could do. What did the Professor say again?

"uh... breathe fire on him? Or something?'

His Pokemon looked up at him with what was almost utter disdain, rolling its red eyes in disapproval. "Sni..." it muttered with what could almost be interpreted as exasperation at its trainer, as green as its skin.

"What? You can't breathe fire? Uh, can you shoot lightning?"

Another pause.

"How about, uh, movin' crap with your mind? Bringin' down a tornado like that one on TV? Laser vision?"

"Snivy..."

"Aw, what kinda Pokemon did I..." He trailed off as he hastily grabbed his Pokedex from his satchel. With a whirr of an automated camera and image recognition circuits flaring to life, the Pokedex began burbling in its cheery electronic voice.

"Yo, mmm, Leer, and Tackle... that's it? Oh, forthelovea- OK, uh, use Tackle, or something, while I send these dopes packin'." Scout grabbed something else from his bag- a large wooden baseball bat, with a company logo reading "SANDMAN' emblazoned on the side.

"Batta swing!" he exclaimed as he wound up and swung at the onrushing Pokemon, even as his Pokemon ducked under the bat and sent a Tackle into the Geodude's rocky exterior.

Although a single attack wouldn't have had much effect on Erebos due to his typing,the sheer mass of Zubat did cause a moderate amount of damage.

"Fools! Now witness true power! Erebos, use Hypnosis!"
Gast...ly!,
the Pokémon exclaimed as his eyes began to glow in an eerie purple.

Just as Iskander settled into a good standing position to watch the battle between Toph and the Digletts he himself was attacked by the litle moles.

-Diglett used DIG!-

"Woah!"

Iskander was thrown off balance and sat down heavily on the ground. He quickly recovered and backed into the clearing, joining Zuko and Toph. He looked at them and gave them a thumbs up along with his smile.

"Yo! Toph!, Zuko, we meet again!"

Aron jumped down from his shoulder and charged the Diglett that had attacked Iskander, it didn't wait for Iskander's instructions, it didn't want to.

Iskander suddenly realised that his Aron was already attacking.

-Aron used Tackle!-

Zuko stared at Iskander, slowly raising his eyebrow. "Were you watching us fight?" He asked, quietly pointing at him. "From behind those rocks?... why would you even peep on us instead of moving deeper into the cave like we're all supposed to do?"

“Artoo!” Luke cried out in alarm.

Unable to dodge with the rock caught between its gears, Artoo let out a pained “Klink!” as Geodude punched it right in the left nose. The Gear Pokémon flew back several feet, reeling from the blow, and without even trying Luke could sense his partner’s distress; not very effective though the attack might have been, it still hurt.

This was bad, Luke realized. With its gears jammed up like this, Artoo was completely helpless. It couldn’t use Vice Grip to pinch the Geodude again, and even if it had enough juice stored to unleash a Thundershock attack that move would be completely useless on the Ground-type Pokémon. Worse, if the gears didn’t get unstuck soon Artoo could be in serious trouble; if they couldn’t turn, they couldn’t generate the energy it needed to live.

He had to do something, but what?

The answer came to him in the voice of Obi-Wan. Use the Aura, Luke.

Luke’s widened at this flash of insight; then he closed them and held out his arms, palms facing outward and his hands forming a loose triangle. “The Aura is with me,” he whispered, his brow furrowing in concentration.

The cavern appeared on the inside of his eyelids, appearing brighter and sharper than it had to his physical sight. He could see the forms of everyone and everything in the cave, their forms aglow with the light of their Auras, but he focused on two in particular—the Geodude, its spherical form blazing red with anger; and Artoo, the Klink’s light wavering with a mixture of fear and determination. He could see the rock caught between his Pokémon’s gears, feel the rough texture of its surface as clearly as if he were actually holding it in his own hands…and as he probed the rock with his intangible touch, an idea hit him.

Artoo.

He could feel the Klink’s surprise, could see it clearly in its Aura. And why shouldn’t it have been surprised, to suddenly hear Luke’s voice in its mind?

I want to try something, he thought. When I give the word, turn your gears the other way.

Artoo’s confusion was a palpable thing.

Trust me, Artoo, he thought reassuringly.

Artoo still seemed uncertain, but could sense his partner’s acceptance. It trusted him, and even if it didn’t understand what he had planned it was willing to go along with it.

Sending it a burst of thanks, Luke fixed the rock in his mind’s eye, wrapping his intangible hands around it in a grip of iron. He opened his eyes. “Now, Artoo!”

Artoo turned its gears in the opposite direction—and as it did this, Luke gave the rock a shove. Between these two forces, the stone shot out of the Klink’s gears like a cannonball—a cannonball aimed straight at the Geodude.

The Danse Macabre Codex

Luffy saw the Zubats ganging up on Merasmus and called to Zorro "Oy! Use another Water Gun to help out grampa-san here!"

Zorro nods and sends another gout of water at the bat pokemon.

"I live, lived?, to serve and protect."

-Krok continues to attack the bats, until the psychics attacks hit. There he and Khârn stand disoriented for some time until one slaps himself and the pokemon, at which point battle resumes as usual.-

Basculin Bonanza

Roxy's Confusion barely works and as Green is lifted from the water a few Basculin bounce off of the projected aura. As Roxy is lifting Green up, Emolga's Thundershock hits the water. It first connects with the Basculin who just bounced off of Roxy's aura and extends through most of the lake electrocuting a majority of the fish in the lake. By the end of this attack only two or three schools are still able to battle, their bloodlust clashing with their instinct to flee.

Zubat Soiree

As Erebos starts to use Hypnosis on the Zubats their wings start to flap slower and slower and their flight patterns start to become less erratic. Before they fall however a Water Gun slams them against the nearby wall causing another shaking of the immediate area. A small secondary swarm of Zubat start to be heard from a 15 feet away and the survivors of the Water Gun mostly move themselves towards Zoro, launching Leech Lifes in a desperate way to stay awake.

Diglett Diversion

Diggy successfully dodges the Diglett's attack and scratches it once more, the strong drill-like claws clearly leaving some small wounds on the Diglett's face as it sinks back underground, ashamed and humiliated. Roku's Roar helps drive the Digletts around Diggy and Toph away while a few near Roku are left in the arena with a look of confidence in their eyes, as if noticing the type advantage. As if to challenge Roku once more Mud is slapped at Roku, hoping to slightly damage him and remind Roku of their superior might and advantages over the beast.

Meanwhile Aron happens to slam the one attacking Iskander. As Iskander hears a slight impact of the two animals colliding, Diglett itself seems to be slightly losing balance.

Woobat Wonders

Sonic and Miles group Quick Attack*

seems to be bugging and driving the Woobats furious as they start to focus more and more on hitting the two bouncing inbetween the swarm even hitting some others in the swarm in order to try and succeed, causing some slight wavering in the flight patterns of the Woobat.

Kharn's Totodile on the other hand seems to be treated almost as a distraction by the Woobat, leading Totodile to get a few nice deep bites on the Woobat including one on the wings. The Woobat as a whole are still mostly focusing on Sonic and Miles with only a few shots of Confusion being aimed at Totodile.

Geodude Gala*

The Tackles combined with Scout's swings seem to be leaving the Geodudes slightly confused. As the Geodudes are sent flying like baseballs, they bounce off of the walls leading them to collide into others in the hallway.

Jack grins and laughs as he sees this chaos going on. "I don't know what you're doing, but keep doing it! These things seem to be oddly bouncy for rock-creatures!"

As Jack says this, Sally seems to suddenly get a blaze of anger in her eyes. The shaking from head to toe characterizing her ever since the Rock Throws began seem to go away as Sally glows with a moderately dense purple aura. A purr can be heard from Sally's throat as she picks up the Geodudes with the telepathic forces and she seems to slightly throw them as the Confusions are shot out. "Sally!? Sally, great job keep it up!"

The Geodudes start to flee the hallway as debris from the thrown and hit Geodudes litter the cave floors.

Luke's Geodude Gathering

The rock inside Artoo escapes Artoo's body harmlessly and collides with the offending Geodude right around the bicep area of a human arm. The Geodude grabs its arm from the aching and slight pain caused by the shot. *

The Geodude gives Luke a look of pure hatred as it starts to leave the hallway with the few other Geodudes.

Sonic and Miles managed to dodge the Confusion attacks as best as possible thanks to their superior speed. Then the woobats starting inflicting Confusion upon themselves from all the friendly fire. "Alright, keep it up!" the speedster cheered on, continue to twirl and quick the swarm.

Miles took his trainer's words as instructions as well, using Foresight again as well as Quick Attack to continue thinning out the bats.

"Nice job, Diggy!" Toph said as her Drillbur went back to her side, doing an extraordinary pose after it defeated the Diglett. Sensing the fight happening between Roku and the other Digletts, Toph simply patted Zuko in the back. "Well, good luck, Moodbender."

With a chuckle, she motioned for Diggy to follow her as the two ran out of the room. Just before leaving, both Iskander and Zuko would see Toph stomping her foot and going on a mad dash as the ground under her sped her up with each step.

Roku takes a step back, groaning as it shook his head, trying to get rid of the mud. "What are you— hey!" Zuko yelled as Toph ran away with her earthbending. "Well, fine. You want to play it like that, let's play it like that."

Zuko cracked his knuckles and proceded to thrust both fists into the air, creating a small stream of fire that was meant to drive the Digletts away. "Iskander!" He said to the big guy, taking a step back as Roku, with a bit of mud on his paws and nose, stood besides him. "Go, move forward! Now, Roku, finish this off with another Roar!"

Roku nodded, and stood in front of Zuko, roaring once more. This time, he hoped the roaring would have a bigger effect, as it looked like the fire streams were coming out of his mouth, complimenting the roar itself.

Luke watched the Geodude hop away after giving him its ugliest look yet, then let out a sigh of relief and closed his eyes, letting his normal senses reassert themselves. That hadn’t been quite as effective as he might have preferred, but at least it had worked; Artoo was safe now, and that surly little boulder of a Pokémon was gone.

“Nice work, Artoo,” he said, perhaps a little weakly. Using Aura like that always left him feeling a little drained, though Obi-Wan had said he’d get better at it with time and practice.

Artoo let out an irritable blurt, its left gear sporting an annoyed expression. Even without using his powers, Luke could tell his partner wasn’t happy with how that fight had turned out.

“You did your best,” he said reassuringly. “Still, you won’t be much good against Rock-types if you can only use Vice Grip and Thundershock…we need to teach you some new moves.”

The Klink warbled in agreement.

Shining his flashlight in the direction the Geodude had gone, Luke saw that it wasn’t alone; he could see several other Pokémon just like it all fleeing further into the dungeon. Blinking, he turned the light towards where he’d seen the other two contestants, revealing the thin pale man and that guy with the baseball cap, as well as their Pokémon—that Ralts he'd seen before, and a Snivy. What he saw made him tilt his head in confusion—where had that baseball bat come from?

That knapsack he’s wearing must be deeper than it looks, he told himself. A lot deeper.

He shrugged, deciding it wasn’t important. “Guess we sent them packing, huh?” he called, smiling politely.

"They didn't say anything about earthbending!" Toph yelled from down the tunnel as she heard Zuko's complaints about what she was doing. She stopped near a wall and stomped her foot, trying to see if there were any Pokemon nearby. "Be on the alert, Diggy."
