The SSR 338 is what we call here an "AKA-47" - real gun, fake name. Here's it's real-life counterpart:

The AWS is also real. It's the Accuracy International Arctic Warfare (Suppressed)
Nah, that's not it. Did some extra checking. The AWS in Battlefield is an Ares Shrike with a Beta C magazine.
I wish they would just call it that. The AKA47 thing is annoying

Oh really when? Some people think the minigun rocket is actually one of Boeing's Missile Defense Multiple Kill Vehicles
Problem is, in no part of it's design or role am I seeing that it's supposed to fly around minigunning things.

Oh really when?Well, I got one right.
That hovering mini-gun death robot couldn't be any more fake if it had "Totally Legit" spray painted on the side.
Finally got the UMP-9, meaning I now have every weapon, gadget, and vehicle unlock save for a few knives. Next is getting all the attachments for everything.
Also anyone got any news on the release date of Dragon's Teeth?
Oh really when?So here's some news
http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/news/view/to-all-battlefield-fans/
Apparently Battlefield: Hardline is a thing and it's going to be Cops and Robbers: The Game.
Made by Visceral and not DICE.
I really dunno how to feel about it.
Oh really when?Anyone else played the Hardline Beta? I've been really getting into it these past few days and I gotta say, it's a massive step up from BF 4.
It actually feels like a new game and I absolutely love it.
Oh really when?^ I have no interest in playing Policefield. If I wanted a cops and robbers type game I'd either play the original Counter Strike or I'd play a GTA game.
I've played the Beta. The game itself is fun but it really could've just been DLC for BF 4. They did a few nice quality of life changes that I hope they will add to BF 4 anyway:
- You can take Med/amo kits from othe players by holding E on them ( no more begging for stuff)
- You can see a flashy "!" next to a player when he is in combat signaling that spawning on him might be risky
- Cars won't explode when coliding with a small object and instead try to roll over it (overall vehicles feel smoother)
- More Skyscrapers with floors other then Ground and Roof
They also simplified sniping but I guess YMMW if that is a good thing (it is now almost TF 2 level in difficulty).

I dunno, I'm hoping Visceral is in charge of the campaign this time around. That'll be fun.
I think I'm going to be getting it. I'm having entirely too much fun stealing money
Oh really when?Good news, the new Dragon's Teeth DLC is out for Premium members and it doesn't actually suck.
The new gamemode, Chainlink, is a great deal of fun and the maps are nice and tight. That might just be me though, I love my confined urban brawls.
I haven't unlocked any of the weapons yet but from what I can tell the MPX is a good one.
Oh really when?How's Pyongyang?
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!Pyongyang? O.o Why is there a map there?
Dunno but the map is called Propaganda.
And I like it. I've only played it on Chainlink so it's a bit more linear than Conquest but it's fun. You get to have a fight around a statue of Dear Leader
Oh really when?Is its levolution that you can bring down the statue?
You know, I haven't actually tried to do that yet.
Lemme see if you can.
Oh really when?So how is multiplayer now? Is it to the point that it's actually playable, or...?
Oh definitely, they fixed all the lag and rubber banding issues. Most of the other assorted netcode things are solved too. If you ever see those problems again odds are it's on your end, not theirs.
They did a little weapons balancing and they're actually listening to people now.
They've also got some more big changes they're playing with in the CTE that they're planning on releasing soon. Deals with suppression and the visual recoil thing.
Oh really when?Okay, good. Now I can buy the game in good conscience (which I have WANTED to do since it came out but due to the bugs I didn't think it was a good idea.
Yep, the big CTE changes should be out in a month or so though so if bugs are your thing maybe hold off just a wee bit longer.
Also be prepared for a terrible single player story that makes absolutely no geopolitical or military senses whatsoever.
Oh really when?Meh, US vs China, hardly anything original I like FPS games like Call of Duty and Battlefield more for the big set pieces than the plot.
Halo on the other hand...
Oh yeah, one last thing. Buy Premium.
You'll be almost doubling the price of the game but if you do the math it's actually much cheaper to buy Premium than to buy all the DL Cs separately. Plus you get tons of other nice toys. Knives and battlepacks and so on.
Oh really when?Or get yourself a mexican-VPN and pay in Pesos, that can easly half the price when you are paying in Euros.
Since there's no forum thread page for it yet, did anyone play the Battlefield: Hardline beta? Just curious as to how it turned out.
I thought not.
Some things Battlefield does don't feel like real things.
Like I've never heard of the AWS or the SR338. Are those actually things?
