I personally like to consider Nier as the RPG version of Spec Ops The Line. It's a shame that the former isn't as well known or acclaimed as the latter, considering that it did what Spec Ops did two years earlier.

I know Spec Ops The Line. Simply, white phosphorus.

Ok time to guess. How many of you wanna bet that reviewers will bash the game soley on it's graphics and ignore many of it's good parts that gave it it's fanbase to begin with?

The lipsync is apparently pretty bad(probably because they didn't actually intend for it to come out in the rest of the world and didn't bother actually changing anything ingame) and Decad is now Decadus.

Sony just withdrew money from my card for my PSN preorder. Only 2 more days!

I'm trying to identify the voices. I've heard them all before, but I'm hitting a wall actually pinpointing them. Zero is Tara Platt. One may not actually be Michelle Ruff. Ruff might be Four. I know who Five is, but I don't remember her name.

Ohmygod Zero actually says "for fuck's sake"! Ok, I love the dub already.

Oooooooh boy.

They've conveyed Zero's speech very well, I have to say.

Gabriella is voiced by Mona Marshall, Angelus's voice.

Ok, I think Five is Megan Hollingshead and One is Kate Higgins. Possibilities!

I'd say that's about what most people expected them to give it, really.

It seems to be getting those kinds of scores all over the web apparently.

According to the critics, they say that it is marred by technical issues and poor characters.

It's getting 7.5-8.5 and praise for its non standard characters and playstyle with points deducted for lipsync and framerate issues from the reviewers who has played D1, D2 or Nie R or actually like RP Gs(Gameinformers review is more or less "I have always hated RP Gs but maybe this can-nope I still hate RP Gs").

The reviews that matter are high. Nobody cares about IGN.

So the only reviews that are good are the ones that give it a high score?

I love Mikhail and Zero's conversations. Every one of them is teeth-achingly adorable (on Mikhail's side, of course).

I haven't been able to keep with stuff on the game, but I did watch the DLC of One's story. That final pic of One and Male One holding hands under Gabriel is adorable.

And it includes Liam O Brien too! Tara Platt is badass. I like her better than Maaya Uchida.

I've identified the dragons, but I'm still drawing a blank at the voices of Decadus, Two, Three and One. M!One sounds close to Joshua Seth, but he's retired so it can't be him.

Just when I think we're getting low on child hatred, we get child-eating trolls. Delish!
