Well, they are still making for PC

But yeah, annoying thing about ipads is that I'd rather not play with machine where only way to do anything is touchscreen. I mean, with DS you at least have analog and dpad and stuff, but with ipad? Nooope. How you would play fighting game with only touchscreen?

Well, I agree with you that mobile games aren't really that good since they are just time passers and that mobile phones aren't good gaming platforms, but technically speaking mobile games could be good.

Mobile as in cell phones? No. Mobile as in Vita and 3DS? Of course.

I'd call it Freek's Law, but I'm sure the basic idea is already taken so I won't stroke my own ego. But generally speaking "Anything designed for a specific purpose will be superior to something designed to do everything". A game system will always be superior to a "system that also has games".

Technically, isn't that untrue as PC are somewhat better for gaming than consoles in some respect? Though I guess you could argue that whole point of P Cs is ability to do everything.

I was going for the more literal meaning of "mobile". In general I refer to them as "handhelds" or "portable" games though.

EDIT: Yeah, but P Cs are more free-form than Cell phones. You can MAKE a PC specifically for gaming. And the PC you make specifically for gaming will be superior to your grandma's piece of shit PC that isn't specifically tailored to anything.

And really, look at what the xbawks 360 can do with hardware not all that much better (and in many respects, such as RAM, worse) than Nana's POS (but new) laptop.

The Smash Bros thing is pretty much bullshit. But I doubt that they were serious with that anyway.

However, with their focus on tablets they probably were serious, which makes it hard for me to take them serious. At least, it sounds as if they think that it's the future of video games. But maybe I'm interpreting too much into it.

Phil Fish is the most self righteous man I've ever seen. It would not surprise me if he were 100% serious with his "We'll make a game for you, but it won't be exclusive!" horse shit.
