After hearing Cult has been canned I thought we might get it sooner, but that's cool.
Also, I've heard Tyler has a podcast that's gotten good reviews.
Hmm. I was never a big fan of Song Styles myself, but nevertheless I'm still thrilled for the show's return. I wonder if Aisha will participate in any of the games like Carey did sometimes.
Oh my gosh I just realized that the background is dead similar to the one on old Whose Line. Nice touch.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectHey, they brought back the original musicians! I was wondering if they'd do that.
Also, I'd be lying if I said that Colin's white hair and Wayne being bald wasn't a little jarring.
The new set is much smaller, but the color palette is like a combination of the UK version darker colors and the US version neutral swirls.
That sounded just like the old show! And Aisha handled it well. I'm so excited!
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Wait, they got back Laura and Linda for music? How did I not see that?
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI hope they get a lot of new talent on board. I've been ransacking the UK series for fresh ideas, and all the regular fourth chairs from the American show as well as Ryan and Colin took over early. Many episodes only have Clive actually representing Britain. Colin, Ryan, and Wayne are funny, but they've done so many episodes I know their schticks intimately.
Fresh-eyed movie blogIt seems like the 4th chair will be flexible, as usual. I saw another black performer in one of the recent preview clips, and Jonathan Mangum shows up for at least one episode.
Oh, and in this clip, Heather Anne Campbell from Improv-a-ganza shows up. That's great, because she was my favourite female performer from any of these shows.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectAs the show went on, the fourth chair seemed to cycle between Chip, Brad, and Greg, or maybe a one-shot special guest, and once in a blue moon they'd have a woman.
Fresh-eyed movie blogIn later seasons Kathy Greenwood was there about as often as Brad, Chip and Greg.
She didn't seem all that regular.
Fresh-eyed movie blogI've been more impressed with Jeff Davis as he's been given more chances to do stuff. He has wicked comic timing in Improv-a-ganza.
But if they need a regular fourth woman, I think Heather is it. She did very well in IAG.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectShe didn't show up until later in the series run, which is why Greg, Chip and Brad have more total appearances.
So, no more shoe jokes. Ladies and gentlemen: Sock jokes!
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectJust finished watching it.
I have but two complaints: 1) there is not nearly enough point-giving, and 2) CW could you possibly have any more commercials.
Other than that, it was great! It's awesome to see the show back, and everything was basically the same as the old show, except with the addition of the celebrity guests.
I also liked the new games they showed, particularly Sideways Scene (at least I think that's what that one was called).
Basically, the supermassive void left in the fabric of spacetime when Whose Line was cancelled has been filled once more. The universe is safe again.
"We're home, Chewie."Took the words right out of my mouth, though I'd also like to add the complaint of too many hashtags. I get that it's probably a network thing, not show-specific, but stuff like #bromance and the like feel so forced it's unbelievable. That said, it was otherwise fantastic. Even the celebrity guests (I wonder if this is now a Once an Episode thing?) were pretty good. Felt like the show never left.
I hope the celebrity guests are a regular thing. If only because then they might actually get celebrities from things I care about later on.
\*Crosses fingers for Matt Smith*
"We're home, Chewie."I thought that Ryan, Colin, and Wayne still have it and the fourth guest were good, and Aisha was a decent host. My complaints were too many commercial breaks, and the terrible celebrity cameos designed to pull in an audience and the way they kept having games to show off their terrible celebrity cameos.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. On the one hand, I remembered it was on tonight.
On the other hand, I thought it was on ABC Family instead of CW, so even though I set my TV to record it, I still missed the show entirely anyhow.

It really felt like a current show. More frenetic pacing, and apparently the years have done the censor in.
The overhead scene game is a really good addition, and I hope the way What's In The Bag went off the rails doesn't mean it'll get dropped.
I hope the special celebrity guests stop happening once we get out of the second (third) honeymoon period. These people are famous for acting and not necessarily good at improv (the guy from Glee held his own, but he admitted his improv singing was nothing next to Wayne), and they just contribute to the sidelining of the Fourth Chair player, which has been a problem ever since they developed power regulars on the UK show. They don't want to actually risk much time on the new people who seem to actually be really good.
"And this is a game for Colin, Ryan, and Wayne!" "This is a game for Colin and Ryan!" "This is a game for Wayne and our special guest!" "This is a game for Colin, Ryan, Wayne, and some volunteers from the audience!" "Oops, sorry Player Four, we're out of time!"
I think Aisha explicitly gave points two or three times over the course of both episodes. This is just part of the continuing decline of relevance to the points, which is surprising, since they haven't mattered from day one. But why get so upset about it? Everything's made up and the points don't matter.

Fresh-eyed movie blogI heard the sideways scene was very good.
And I just realized, Wayne can be the target of bald jokes too! Yay inclusiveness!
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectCelebrity cameos have to go .
Aisha is great.
We have a premiere date now— July 16.
