Then laugh at yourself and move on?
Giving someone the ability to change names on online games like that adds even more of a toxic environment than it already is.
Um...how? All it does is let you change the way you're identified to better reflect your personality years after you made the name. My handle is boring, because I had to have one and didn't have one planned when I made it. I thought of a better one later, and I don't think it's unreasonable to want to use it.
I'm not saying there shouldn't be limits on how often you can do it, but the option should exist.
Most issues with changeable names are easily resolved by limiting the number of times you can do it.
It won't happen unless the PS 3 is completely dropped by Sony due to your name pretty much being hardcoded into the system and switching it would screw things up.
IIRC Microsoft couldn't offer it until after Live shut down for the same reasons.
Primary key migrations are the biggest pain in the ass. Don't do it.
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterI'm looking forward to the launch of the Neo, not because I want one - I'm not that rich, but because the second hand prices of the Old versions should plummet off a cliff and reach more realistic values.
At the moment, the PS 4 pre-owned costs a heckuva lot more than the Xbone, which is a complete inversion of what happened when the consoles originally launched, and I don't want to pay that price premium.
I'm hoping that happens too. I'd really like to get a PS4 before the year's over, or early next year, and it'd be nice if the price dropped a little. Then again, I was planning to buy used/refurbished anyway...but still, the prices for those would probably drop too.
Anyone else hate how Sony has become pretty much just a American company that happens to have it's main HQ in Japan? They moved their console division to the US earlier this year and their games are overly American-focused now as opposed to the PS 1 and PS 2 which had some nice Japanese focus.

Well that's because quite bluntly console games in Japan are kinda dead. It's all mobile phone games now.
Oh really when?PS+ price increasing to $60 next month

It begins. Won't be surprised if both Sony and Microsoft start hiking up their prices again in the future. It's why with all this console war stuff, I don't get why some gamers want one company to come out victorious.
Ha! If I'm not mistaken, my membership renews on September 1 (or near enough; Inthink I might've gotten a free week somewhere). So I'll get another year at the regular price.
Considering getting the slim, but the price needs to be around 200 and I am worried about 60 bucks for multi-player.
Mileena MadnessWai, you seriously can't do any online multiplayer on a PS 4 without a Play Station Plus subscription? On any game? That's bull.
It is. It most definitely is.
"We'll take the next chance, and the next, until we win, or the chances are spent."
Free-to-play online games and separate subscription based titles (like FFXIV) don't need it, as I recall.

this place needs me hereIs that just for the US and Canada, or for other territories as well?
I mean, I'm going to keep paying it anyway, but I'd like to know.
All territories. Sony made the switch to pay to play online this gen. The PS 3 had free online, but I think Sony saw all the money Microsoft was raking in from XBL Subscription fees and wanted a piece of that pie.

It brings them in more money in a quarter than Nintendo earns in a year. Pretty clear reason why they want to raise the price when people are willing to pay for Xbox Gold already.
Because they pretty much struck gold on advertising and marketing to casual gamers, as well as Nintendo's and especially Microsoft's mistakes turning people away from there consoles and the mainstream Western AAA developers all coming over to the PS 4.
What's your point?
So, Laura Kate Dale has done an unboxing video of the Playstation Slim that Sony still thinks we don't know about.
But what if I made it when I was an edgy 12 year old with a PSP?
