Right, reason why I went with Council-level was because I was extremely enchanted with the idea of a wizard that wanted to embrace his powers but desperately wanted technology at his disposal again and typically the troubles with tech are at their worst with Council-level wizards while lower level talents can mostly manage like The Alphas.

I may also have this preference for inventor characters but in a real world with setting that's a little hard to implement, but an enchanter could fill such a role in a similar manner as long as I was realistic about it.

Also, a thought occured to me. If your char is the "master degree engineer" wizard with his enchanting, and Tim is the "experimental physicist wizard"...we have two chars down from The Big Bang Theory.

(And one could make a case for Leon being Raj in terms of being with women. *badum-tish*)

For when the arc ends, here's my girl. Whee!

Name: Annette Wagner, “Anne” or “Anna”

High Concept: The “One-Trick” Alchemist

Trouble: Addictions, Addictions, Addictions.

Background: Grew up inside the world of magic with a mother who was a full fledged witch. She never mastered anything outside of potion-making, but it was all she really needed to feel included. She had an otherwise normal, human upbringing. At twenty, she met Violet, the woman Red Court who would become her wife and her first trip into nearly inescapable addiction. Five years and a son later, she broke free of Violet’s hold when her child was put at risk by the monster she’d married. She killed Violet (mostly through sheer dumb luck) shortly afterwards, and has spent the last two years readjusting to life without a fog in her mind, as well as raising her son—whom she hardly remembers having in the first place.

Personality: Was once quite open and curious, but look where that lead her. She’s now incredibly nervous and distrusting, her speech pattern full of stutters and stammers and her fingers always twitching. Under her nerves is a remarkably dry humor that acts as a secondary defense to the madness around her. She’s dangerously protective of her son, and constantly puts herself into situations where she’s away from temptations—alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, vampire saliva...all things she actively avoids. However, she fails to recognize her constant use of refresher and other similar potions to be their own addiction.

Job Class/Expertise: She makes potions very, very well, and sells them to whoever will buy—with the exception of potions she knows to be harmful or have any dangerous, permanent effects. (She’ll sell the occasional temporary love potion if she’s desperate for cash.) It doesn't pay amazingly and the ingredients are sometimes harder to come by than willing customers, so she also waits tables wherever they’ll hire. Balance being a mother in there somewhere and she has quite the hectic schedule.

Skill Strengths: A nearly photographic memory for potion recipes and no fear in attempting new ones (even those that blast holes in all the windows). A knack for potion-making as a whole, specializing in replenishers. Quick on her feet both literally and figuratively. Rarely tired.

Skill Weakness: Unable to use provocations and spells, cannot open her “third eye”. Easily scared or frightened into submission. Lacks faith. Her protectiveness of her son could also count as a weakness if you use it right. Also has a horribly addictive personality.

Items/Tools: Always keeps several bottles on her person in a medium-sized canvas bag. Some are orders, but most are refreshers or stealth potions, and a couple hold sunlight in black-painted plastic (personal experience says you can’t be too careful). (Her home-brews will be listed at some point or another.) Has a simple switchblade for when she’s desperate enough to use it. Wears a white-gold band on her left ring-finger.

@3 of 4, I wouldn't know, your reference means squat to me because I don't watch Big Bang Theory. Tried a little, read a lot about it, decided to not give it any support.

L Mage, your signature is grammatically incorrect, it needs to have a "than", not "then".

@Mousa

Your disdain for the Big Bang Theory aside (since having no taste in television is not a crime to deny someone admission for) I see no issues with your character sheet. Rubber stamp of acceptance applied.

(Also, blame Three- the quote was vintage to it's original source. I'm tempted to fix it, but I am also, wildly lazy.)

@Kerian

Could you have a more itemized/full list of the potions she uses most often/has on her at any given time? Otherwise all seems well.

My character for the next part:

  • Name: Safwah Asil Azoulay
  • High Concept: Fallen Angel’s Host
  • Trouble: Always Someone Better

  • Background: Safwah was born in El Jadida in Morocco to a single father, his mother having left when his father when he was young. His father immigrated soon to Arenzano, Italy for a position he got in Italy. Safwah, though, found his childhood to be troublesome. His peers teased him, for his heritage, his missing mother, and his nerdiness. He quickly grew resentful at his peers, for bullying him, and at his mother, for leaving him, though his father would insist that she loved the two of them very much. Though he was never the type for it, he ended up getting into many fights in school, and ended up getting kicked out of school a year before graduating because he ended up hurting someone badly when his powers first emerged, breaking one of their legs with a large stone. His father, though angry, tried to be understanding and managed to get him a job working for the Renzo Piano Building Workshop like his father, but only managed to get him a low level position. However, his father died when a building he had been working on collapsed when he was visiting it two years later. After that, Safwah quit his job and left the city to work on improving his magic.

Prior to this, Safwah had been visited by the White Council to warn him about the Seven Laws, having heard about the incident where he had seriously harmed his classmate, telling him that, if he went to far and killed someone, he would face a Warden’s blade. Intrigued by the White Council, he sought to join them several times, each time being rejected for lacking the diversity of a White Council caliber wizard. Each time, he found himself more and more resentful of the White Council. As such, when he left Arenzano, he took it upon himself to visit several wizards and other practitioners to help hone his abilities and gain insight into more power, and the respect that would come with that. However, he found himself treated with pity or condescension, not helped by his repeated failures at any magic beyond earth magic. Finally, in frustration, he gave up on the other wizards after a junior archivist in Germany refused to help him petition his case to join the White Council, agreeing with the White Council’s decision not to let him join.

Having given up, he decided to embark upon his Hajj to Mecca. The Hajj was, initially, a calming and focusing pilgrimage, allowing him to calm a lot of his rage and frustration, especially with a couple of fortuitous meetings with wizards and lesser practitioners who lived in Mecca itself. However, things changed when one of the wizards he met showed him an urn that he had been entrusted with the safekeeping of which was said to contain an evil brought to Mecca by Raynald of Châtillon during his raids upon Mecca in the Third Crusade which had been sealed in the urn allowing Saladin to capture Raynald and kill him. Curious about what said evil was, Safwah asked the wizard for his permission to take it to the place he was staying to examine the seal for help in furthering his abilities. The wizard was hesitant, at first, but, on the seventh night he asked, the wizard relented and, reluctantly, gave him permission, as long as the seal was never, ever broken.

Safwah, however, had different designs, and, after examining the seal closely and figuring out the theory behind its construction, he broke it. Upon doing so, the sand in his room began to swirl in a small twister, forming into the shape of an attractive, yet sinister, man made of shifting sand. Safwah backed away, terrified, feeling its dark presence, and convinced that this was Iblis or one of his servants. But, when the figure spoke, it had a soft and soothing voice, reassuring him not to be afraid. The figure explained that they were the angel Haniel, and they had fallen from heaven in the rebellion of the Devil. Safwah was shocked, naming Haniel as a “Jinn”, but Haniel dismissed that name. He was an angel from heaven, fallen to Earth for siding with the Devil, though, he clarified, he regrets that choice. Though he remained no fan of God, he felt no love for the Devil, either. Both, he felt, missed the beauty in things, content with the boring ugliness of their respective sides. Beauty, he explained, was the important thing, not good nor evil nor order nor freedom, and neither God nor the Devil understood that truth. Having said that, Haniel approached the cowering Safwah, gently stroking his cheek and leaning in to tell him that he saw beauty in Safwah, both in form and in mind. For beauty, Haniel would give glory, power, and might.

Though it was a mere sand construct, Haniel saw madness in Haniel’s eyes and Haniel’s smile, and neither reassured him much of the grace of Haniel or the truth of his statements, though he was appreciative of Haniel’s flattery. When Safwah relaxed, though only a little, Haniel’s mad smile widened, and he offered Safwah a deal. Haniel, banished as he was, could not form in his glory or regain his strength on Earth without assistance, and he saw the desire in Safwah’s eyes, so he offered Safwah more power in exchange for a place of residence in Safwah’s head. Safwah, initially hesitant, asked for details. Haniel explained that he could give Safwah as much power as he desired, enough to gain the respect he deserved from others and dominate his foes. He had seen into Safwah’s soul and saw the desire that lay in there, what Safwah found beautiful, and he offered Safwah that. Though tempted, Safwah gathered up his determination and told Haniel no. He wished not to gain respect through power foreign to his own, but through his own hard work and determination. Haniel laughed at this, impressed by Safwah’s determination, and told him that, though he could give Safwah all the power he desired, that doesn’t mean he was restricted to as much as Safwah desired. Thus he offered Safwah merely a boost, though telling him that, if he changed his mind, he could give him more. With this modified deal, Safwah accepted, and Haniel took up residence within his head.

Before abandoning the Earth for Safwah’s mindscape, Haniel took the time to remake the seal upon the container, which remained within his power, diminished as it were. And, so, Safwah, expressing failure to discover any secrets to his friend, returned the urn Haniel had resided in, and Safwah left Mecca. With Haniel in tow, though still uncertain of if he made the right choice or not, Safwah returned to Arenzano from whence he came. There, he set up shop in his father’s old home and took to training his power, under the tutelage of Haniel and with the assistance of Hellfire. Though he made progress, perfecting his mastery of earth magic further, he still found everything else difficult, and could only ever grasp their basics. With his newfound power, he petitioned twice more over the next decade or so for membership in the White Council, and was turned away both times, still for his lack of well rounded mastery. With the words of Haniel in his ears and his own insecurity, his resentment towards the White Council grew. Finally, feeling he had done enough to train himself, after a third such petition, he left his fathers home to prove himself to the White Council in the field.
  • Personality: Safwah is better, angry, and resentful. He’s convinced that he deserves respect, and, never getting it, he bottles up the seething rage that comes from that. This leads to him lashing out at others in his lives, leaving him isolated and alone. The only thing he finds calming is reading and learning. Thus, when not trying to improve himself, he will hide away in one of his many books, most about magical theory and practice. He is devoted to gaining more power and respect from other wizards, constantly trying to find ways to improve and better himself.

Despite his bravado and seething, bitter rage, Safwah is a bit of a coward, preferring to avoid and hide from fights he doesn’t think he can win. But his arrogance gives him an inflated sense of his own skill. In addition, Safwah has a tendency to discount raw power in favor of technical skill and knowledge, seeing raw power as simply hereditary, with skill and knowledge showing the individual’s actual prowess. Power is cultivated through training and learning, and even the strongest in raw power is nothing compared to the best in technique, to him.
  • Appearance: Safwah has somewhat dark, though not very dark, skin, with shoulder length black hair. He’s short and skinny, generally small, with thin arms and legs. He has dark green eyes and slender black rimmed glasses. He generally dresses well with dress pants, dress shoes, a brown button up shirt (long or short sleeved depending on the weather), a black vest, and a black tie.

  • Job Class/Expertise: Focused earth magic practitioner and Fallen Angel vessel.
  • Skill Strengths: Safwah’s skill with earth magic is nearly that of a full wizard’s even without enhancement from hellfire, and his skill with it is masterful. He is also great at understanding the inner workings of magic to allow him to modify and control his spells. He also is brilliant at analyzing other people’s magic, if not as good at replicating it. Finally, though his thaumaturgy is limited, he is great at potion brewing, though not notable like with his earth magic. Finally, Haniel allows him to have effective eidetic memory as well as access to knowledge he shouldn’t have.
  • Skill Weakness: Safwah sucks at any magic that isn’t earth magic, without even barest competencies at the most basic stuff. Try as he might, understand the theory as he might, he simply cannot grasp them, to his frustration. In addition, his physical strength is extremely lacking. He cannot throw a punch for the life of him, and carrying too much winds him.
  • Powers/Abilities: Knowing his way inside and out of earth magic, he’s learned many tricks with it. He casts in ancient Phonecian. Some spells include:
    • <Shift Like Sand>: Used for moving rock, dirt, sand, etc.
    • <Grind To Dust>: Used for breaking apart rock.
    • <Hardening Dust>: Used for turning dirt, sand, etc into (sedimentary) stone.
    • <Crush Like Diamonds>: Used for turning sedimentary rocks into metamorphic rocks.
    • <Flow Like Water>: Used for melting stone into lava.
    • <Dry To Dust>: Used for turning lava into igneous rock.
    • <Drop Like A Stone>: Used for gravity manipulation.
    • <Shake The Earth>: Creates tremors in whatever area he chooses, obviously harder the larger the area is and the further away from him it is. (This one uses up his bracelet more quickly than <Shift Like Sand>.)
    • <Shield My Faith>: Gathers surrounding stones, dirt, sand, etc to form a shield.
  • Items/Tools:
    • A pendant with a small faceted amethyst gem he uses as a focus for <Shield My Faith>.
    • A purple-blue fluorite (Derbyshire Blue John) bracelet left to him from his mother he uses to store kinetic energy from his movements to aid in <Shift Like Sand> and <Shake The Earth>.
    • A Colt .45 revolver.

Interesting. So what power levels are we looking at? Apparently there's a girl with Mjolnir but (I'm assuming) she can't use it, but that implies historical domain stuff is fair game as long as they aren't OP.

I can finally join Edge Town! Yay!

Note: I know this is unfinished; I've been kicked off the computer for today, so I'm leaving this here to check that the links work. This will be finished by tomorrow, I swear.

  • Name: Aydashka "Ayda" Gadjibekova.
  • High Concept: Mute but troubled Azerbaijani force mage.
  • Trouble: Real-life Colette.
  • Background: Listen to this for atmosphere music.
  • Ayda was born in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. She lived a comfortably middle-class life, with two parents that loved her and all the friends and adventure a growing child could ever want. Then, one night, when she was 15 years old, she woke up and she wasn't in her bedroom. Instead, she was on what looked and smelled like a dog's bed in the corner of a fancy kitchen. Standing over when she woke was a tall, thin, blond man with a tan and a grin that promised terrible things. She was terrified of him immediately. That man was Adrian de Luca, and from then on, he owned her. Literally. She became the new maid in his mansion, cleaning and cleaning until her hands were red and raw and her neck had a crick in it from looking down all day. Ayda had no knowledge of Italian, and whenever she spoke her native language, or indeed, anything at all, Adrian would fly into a rage and beat her, with magic and with hands and feet. Adrian had no small talent with lightning magic, so this invariably led to Ayda whimpering in a corner with burns all over her body. Eventually, she learned to just not say anything. Even then, Adrian beat her at least once a day, presumably because he enjoyed it. Fortunately for her, Adrian's wife, Chana, took pity on her, and would care for her wounds, make sure she got enough to eat, teach her, and generally act as a surrogate mother. She also recognized Ayda's magical talent when, in a rare fit of anger, Ayda used force magic to punt a whole rotisserie chicken across the fairly large kitchen. This started a daily routine for Ayda: Wake up, wolf down some scraps for breakfast, clean for most of the day, practice her magic with Chana, eat some more scraps for dinner, then go to sleep. This went on for several years, and during that time, Ayda barely spoke. One night, she tried to say "Good night" to Chana, only to find that she could no longer speak. That was the night she cried herself to sleep, hoping and praying to any god that could hear her to restore her voice. That was also the night Ayda became determined to do two things: Learn sign language, and kill Adrian de Luca. The next day, after cleaning, she went to Chana as usual, and asked her to teach her sign language, via writing of course. Chana agreed, and they spent a few hours together that way. Afterwards, Ayda told Chana of her plans, hoping that she wouldn't tell Adrian. Quite the opposite happened; Chana wholeheartedly supported the idea. From then on, Ayda's training became for one reason: to kill Adrian. One day, when Ayda met Chana for training, she found Chana holding two sets of brass knuckles and two ankle bracelets. "Put them on!" Chana said excitedly. But no sooner did Ayda put them on than Adrian came bursting in on them, lightning already crackling towards them. Chana had time to yell one word before the lightning hit them both. Ayda, however, was perfectly fine, though even she didn't know how. No sooner did this fact register than she noticed Chana's corpse lying on the ground next to her. Ayda doesn't remember what happened next, but when she came to, she was standing over an Adrian on the point of death, the room was all but destroyed, there were police outside, and the symbols on her rings were glowing, so she took the chance to run for it in the opposite direction. Since then, she has taken a job as a waitress, and has saved up enough to buy herself a shoddy apartment over a bar. Adrian's house is heavily warded, and he never leaves his house without bodyguards nowadays, but it's only a matter of time...
  • Personality: Has three, essentially.
    • Waitress personality: Polite and all smiles. Her mutism generally doesn't get in the way, as she carries a card on her that says "I'm mute, but don't worry, I can still take your order!" in Italian.
    • Hitwoman personality: Serious, stoic, and entirely dedicated to her mission.
    • "True" personality: What she is when not working. Shy, cute (adorable cute, not sexy cute), and a surprisingly good conversationalist. She also enjoys reading authors like Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, and Cory Doctorow.
  • Appearance: Pretty much this, sans book. Sometimes wears jeans instead of the skirt and leggings. There are also burn scars scattered around her body, including one on her forehead that manages to be almost, but not quite, covered by her bangs. If asked about it, she'll say it's a birthmark.
  • Job Class/Expertise: Currently, waitress at a restaurant, though she also takes the occasional job as a hitwoman/bruiser.
  • Skill Strengths: Her force magic hits really hard when fully charged. She can fight and shoot pretty well too. She can also "snipe" people with force magic; shooting off a focused force blast from cover at someone's vital areas.
  • Skill Weakness: Can only use her force magic in one direction. Said magic is also slower than, say, a lightning bolt, and if her former master shows up, or is even mentioned, she will most likely freeze up and go into a panic attack for a few seconds, minimum. Same deal with the sound of lightning or electricity.
  • Powers/Abilities: Ayda casts in Hebrew... Sorta. She uses sign language to spell out words in Hebrew, which then trigger her spells. Unorthodox, but she makes it work.
    • Force Snipe: Ayda fires a force blast about the size of a bullet at someone. Unlike a regular sniper rifle, it's mostly silent, the bullet is invisible, and she can use it reasonably well at close range.
    • Super Punch: Ayda uses her stored kinetic energy to give a bit more power to a punch or kick by covering her limb in force magic. Simple enough.
    • Super Throwing Arm: Ayda uses her stored kinetic energy to throw something way farther than she could have normally. Once used this to kill someone with a teddy bear.
    • Kamehame Hadouken: Ayda can do this with varying levels of intensity, and uses it as her main attack. With only a bit of charged energy, this feels like a regular punch. With maximum energy, it can (and has) leveled buildings.
  • Items/Tools
    • Several interconnected simple bronze rings that can store a smallish amount of kinetic energy each and function as pseudo brass knuckles. She has a set for both hands, and she generally considers them her most reliable weapons. All eight rings have the Hebrew words for eight of the sephira of the Kabbalah. On the left hand, they are (from left to right) Binah, Hokhmah, Da'at, and Gevurah. Right hand is Hesed, Tif'eret, Hod, and Netzah.
    • A pair of ankle bracelets, also bronze, enchanted the same way as the rings, except the bracelets can hold about as much energy as two rings each. Ayda only uses these when she feels she needs more firepower than her rings, which isn't often. The left bracelet has Kether, the right has Malkuth.
      • The rings and bracelets were gifts from Chana, who was an extremely gifted magical blacksmith. Ayda still isn't sure of what any of them do, since signing any of the symbols on them don't appear to do anything, but she's sure that they must do something.
    • Several stones, all smooth, rounded, aerodynamic, and covered with a few suspicious stains. Ayda keeps these in her pocket and lobs them at enemies with a magically-enhanced arm. Exceedingly useful.
    • An old Colt revolver she bought on the cheap, along with ammo. It only works half the time, so she mostly uses it as a distraction.
    • A picture of her (as a baby) and her parents, back in Baku. There are many tear stains on the cracked glass, and it looks as though the frame has been crushed in a few spots by someone's finger.
  • Other: Ayda can sign and write in Italian and Azerbaijani, and can read and write English. She detests the song "Castle On a Cloud", because it reminds of her time as a servant so much. She also wants to try and find her real parents. She tried sending a letter to their old house in Baku, but there was no response. She is also 23 years old.

Alright- I am officially re-opening sign-ups- I'll take a more certain eye tomorrow, and I'm not sure how many spots I can guarantee/open up, but if anyone wants to join up I'll be giving a fair shoot. I'm also going to review Mousa, Keiran as well before approving them.

@Hazzy

Nadya was a...special case (and is no longer in play at this point), historical items are up for grabs as long as their practical power level stays reasonable- but I reserve the right to cry veto on a case-by-case basis, largely because some artifacts might be in play already in the metaplot.

I doubt this is gonna go through but yolo. And I had fun writing it anyways.

I mean, I could change it for a different random made up guy, but I think it resonates better if I used a story we're all familiar with, and it's not like I'm going to make it OP. He's basically a bruiser, but that's it. Even if a veteran one. I figure that much of his legendary might is tied up with Gram (The rest is the dragonhide) which is why he's little more than a regular Einherjar, especially given that he doesn't use guns.

Well- had fun either way.

Name: Sigurd the Dragonslayer High Concept: Former Einherjar given one last job Trouble: Might or Freedom Background:

Songs have been sung of Sigurd the Dragonslayer, hero of the legendary Ring Cycle. Sigurd who slew the dragon Fafnir, Sigurd, favored by Odin. Sigurd who feared none but a woman. Sigurd, beguiled and turned. Sigurd the betrayed.

But of course, death was not the end for this hero. The Valkyries guided him to Valhalla, where he would given in eternal servitude to Odin as an Einherjar. Sigurd reluctantly assented - a fair feeling, given that his previous sovereign, in jealousy and rage, had betrayed him.

Time passed. As the old world of magic and gods faded away, Sigurd's resentment only grew. With foresight, he realized that he was played for a pawn. Odin guided him and his family through the ages. Set up the circumstances for the great blade Gram to be passed down to him. Told him exactly how to trick and defeat Fafnir, how to woo the Valkyrie Brynhildr, all events that wrought glory, all events that led to his ignoble death... all for what? In accordance to some great fated plan? That the lives and actions of mortals are mere playthings to the whims of Gods?

So, in one last act of defiance, Sigurd quit. He left Monoc, leaving behind the sword Gram in a gesture of goodwill, bargaining for his freedom.

For a while, nothing seemed to happen. As if Odin accepted the offering, or maybe because the old man had a soft spot in his heart or something. Confused but free, Sigurd roamed the continental states, living off of accumulated wages, trying to figure out what he was supposed to be. A hero? Didn't feel like it: more a plaything of fate.

Perhaps this was Odin's plan all along. Recently, the God contacted him, offering his position at Monoc and Gram back, no strings attached, if he would do one last thing.

Sigurd merely said that he would consider it.

Personality: Jaded and cynical. This is a guy who has lived the story. They aren't all up they're cracked to be, he warns. Heroism is a messy and pointless business. Heroism and glory. Better to be paid than not. He has a healthy disdain for such people who seek renown, although this is coming from the perspective of someone with plenty of that.

Sigurd is utterly willful and defiant, as befitting a warrior of old. He laughs in the face of horrors, wizards, and monsters. When facing Fafnir as a fresh, young man, he casually bantered with it, despite its dire predictions and aegis of fear (Then again, it was dying at the time). Chances are, he's seen something worse. Well, almost entirely...

Women confuse him. He veers between utter confusion and stammering to outright dislike. Not because he thinks they're inferior or belongs to the kitchen or any of that, but because of his horrid track record. One woman subverted his mind and his promises in order to coerce him into marrying her, and the other did get him shanked in the back. So there's that.

Appearance: Big, ruddy man. Red hair cut short, beard cleanly shaved. Pale, blue eyes. Wears biker leathers.

Job Class/Expertise: Einherjar Mercenary and Warrior.

Skill Strengths: He's an accomplished swordsman. Relentless, aggressive, focused. Ages of training does that. He also knows a little of Runes, only enough to apply them defensively against wizards, and they have to be prepared.

Skill Weaknesses: He has never gotten the hang of modern weaponry, nor has he felt the need to respect them. He's also horrible fighting defensively, given that he's never found the need to learn how, for obvious reasons. As a result of both things, he may find fighting accomplished wizards relatively difficult. He's fairly limited in his style, as effective as it is: hit things with his sword until they die.

Powers/Abilities:

Dragonhide: Enclosing his entire body, save for the spot between his shoulders, the Dragonhide protects Sigurd from all physical harm, blunting, slicing, stabbing, whatever. However, fire and ice and such non-physical things are fair game.

Grounding Rune: When triggered, the rune rapidly absorbs incoming wild energy, whether it is a bolt of lightning or gout of fire. They are of course limited in number, only three at a time. Can be overwhelmed as well.

Superior Body and Senses: Basically as the name implies. This is a guy that fought bloody battles and beasts in times past. He's naturally stronger and faster than regular people, his instincts honed by battle.

Can talk to birds: Because that apparently happened in the story. Yeah. Totally makes sense.

Items/Tools:

Harley Davidson Fatboy: He calls it Grani.

Bastard Sword: Big. Heavy. Four feet long blade.

Four heavy throwing knives: Needs a short weapon, after all.

Blank stones and a chisel: How he creates runes.

@Toijin, casting in a native language, a language you are speaking, is dangerous because if you use the word you are using for a spell in conversation its going to get messy.

Also, just for the record, I assume your character is what the DFRP calls a focused Practicioner? Ie one element of magic and just that?

Also, when you say "killed someone" I assume you do not mean mortals? Because with a Warden and another Wizard already in the group, Lawbreakers are not exactly tolerated much.

[up] *raises eyebrow* Siegfried? This is Dresden Files not Fate.

I think I'm going to say no on Sigurd specifically- but I'm not closing the door to Einherjarium in general.

As for Ayda, I'm intrigued but also cautious- I'll wait to hear more, but I'm mainly concerned about fitting right into the plot on certain counts- particularly the Trouble. Since we're running a White Court PC as is, and that on it's own has caused more party conflict them I'm comfortable with I'm hesitant.

Anne looks good, Moses might have some trouble with the straining White Council issues, but it's nothing I shouldn't be able to work with (assuming our local WC players are on good behavior)- I have a few ideas I'll PM you Mousa, just to make sure Moses is plot-hooked for the Arc 3.

(And important thing for everyone to keep in mind is that Arc 3 is taking place mainly in Italy- this is because of reasons that players might be able to guess, and will be elaborated upon in the Epilogue more fully.)

About the size of mine for Norse mythology but that's neither here nor there.
