I think they'll keep both of those things seperate from now on. But if they pull an "It Was All A Dream" route, this movie will seriously gain all my eternal hate.

... so far the only established way anyone can get into the human universe is through the portal in that mirror. No matter what they do, whether it be going thruogh it AGAIN and going against the rule about it only opening on a set # of years, or finding some other way, it will just sound absurd. And now I shall give up trying to analyze a movie franchise I had no interest in in the first place...
I don't see any reason why they wouldn't just use Alt-Twilight. That way they could do whatever they want with the spin-off without having to jump through awkward hoops to get Twi into the human world every time. Course it doesn't look like they're going that way.

The good news is that Twilight hasn't been seen in the EG universe yet. I'm still hoping that the pony stuff is just there for transitions and the movie will be about EG!Twilight acclimating herself to a new group of friends.

Ummm, how are you getting any of that? The NOVEL, the book, they are releasing soon, is a prequel to EQG 2. Nothing about either of them being a prequel to EQG was ever mentioned.

Misread. God they're going to have the story of how EG!Twilight joined the rest of the mane 5 in the book aren't they? That'll be so confusing to the people that just jump into the movie.

That is true. I guess it's how they handle introducing EG!Twilight within the movie proper.

I might have mentioned before, but one idea I thought could make it interesting is if the two worlds can still communicate, to the point of sending magic or spirits to assist, just not physical objects.
They'll probably need to do some of that to convince Human Twilight what happened. 
"I still don't see why you have to pull such a weird hoax just to keep me from meeting my twin sister! I know she exists, I found the viral video of her doing all sorts of crazy things before I moved here!"
It turns out that novel is going to be a prequel.

Nice to have something pony related since I haven't gotten to see much of season four. Now if only they would hurry up and make Equestria Girls its own series in addition to the movies.
