It seems a little... embarrassing... that the current page image represents the 20th anniversary when Mega Man is already on its 25th. Is there any official image out there that we can use to represent the franchise for its 25th?

My other suggestion is to cut out the background and leave the characters, so that it will be relevant throughout all time, at least until a new series with new protagonists shows up.

Capcom bashing is that big of a thing around here? I'd hardly say 20 years is an embarrassing track record, especially for a video game series.

Anyways, I can't seem to find any official art, plenty of fan art though.

I don't think this change would require Image Pickin', unless you don't have an image suggestion.

Capcom didn't really celebrate his 25th anniversary, either (not a complaint, but a fact), so there isn't any better official art that I know of to commemorate the event. Better off sticking with the current, try again come his 30th.

if it's that big a deal, you could always search the net for other pics- fanmade if need be.

3: Some minor edits needed to remove the words.

So yeah. On the one hand, the current image is an official image. On the other hand, the fanarts I linked would need permission to use but are mostly comprised of official artwork of the characters anyway.

yeah I don't think it needs to be replaced either, but UDON is just as official as something from CAPCOM themselves. That would work.

The second of those is the only one that I would say is a competitor against the current, and I prefer it to that one.

Agreed. My particular dislike of the current image is that the ORIGINAL Mega Man isn't front and center.

I feel that the current image is clearly superior to all of the suggestions, even if it is slightly out of date.

Similarly, I don't feel that the fact that the Blue Bomber isn't "front and centre" detracts from the current image - he may be the most iconic Mega Man, yes, but it doesn't impair the image in any meaningful way.

Not disagreeing, just a small pet peeve. I really have no problem with the current image, but it doesn't hurt to explore other suggestions.

^^ "Clearly superior" huh? I don't think it's clear. I think the one in 8 (second image in 11) is better.
