No but seriously, we do tend to imitate art quite a bit. :3 So it does make sense that we'd kind of embody at least to some aspect the ideals of our culture (ie character archetypes and so on). But of course that doesn't mean that human beings are that simple of course. :p Is a complicated deal. :3
EDIT: Tropes do colour our perspective and thus the world we build around us. Just kind of at a subconscious level? It's weird. WEIRD. But it is there.

ᐅᖃᐅᓯᖅ ᐊᑕᐅᓯᖅ ᓈᒻᒪᔪᐃᑦᑐᖅAs an English major who aspires to be an author, I completely agree.

@Zersk: Freudian or Analytical?
Blue-and-Orange Morality! It's my new favorite trope! Also, it's my signature trope! It's also going to be my Catchphrase!I haven't read her works (and never, ever, will) so I can't comment on that.

I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.That's a trope?
On the other hand, I tend to use trope names as a description: eg, it is far easier to call someone a tsundere than to say that s/he is in love with someone but is too embarrassed to show it.
Also, what the hell is up with Original Life and Better Days? Seriously, furry comics with objectivist message? That's like making a meal out of rotten meat, year-old vegetables, sewage water and onions and then taking a dump on it. My willingness to read the former is high as my willingness to eat the latter.
Really, furry comics with objectivist message. The amount of horrible that's contained in that one sentence alone is mindblowing.
People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.@Nyalry:I'm totally into furries and Objectivism, so I have the inverse opinion.
Blue-and-Orange Morality! It's my new favorite trope! Also, it's my signature trope! It's also going to be my Catchphrase!@ITS:Thanks! I really like youtube!
Blue-and-Orange Morality! It's my new favorite trope! Also, it's my signature trope! It's also going to be my Catchphrase!You aren't even subtle!
@Kay:How are you doing, Hero of Justice? Would you like your own birthday thread? July something or whatever if I remember correctly?
Blue-and-Orange Morality! It's my new favorite trope! Also, it's my signature trope! It's also going to be my Catchphrase!...so all that happened. Was Kami a robot that suddenly got a sugar high? Can robots get high?

not really real life and nature are so much more interesting than anything some writer could ever hope to construct
