The implications of the last panel are terrifying.

If her answer is anything other than "no", I'll be very surprised.

Allison is going to continue her axiom of a tyrant.

Because she still thinks it's worth risking her grade to save the other student's grade? I think that's a gross oversimplification. I expect a little speech on why she has changed, but would still make the same choice in this scenario. Certainly her temperament during the exercise itself is radically different from last time.

What this will mean for her actions outside of binary, artificial scenarios like this is not clear though.

Remember that her plan is always "succeed by working together."

Allison tried to shanghai workers from Brad's support group for her own (like Rich Jerk Boyfriend).

When Gurwara's class didn't work with her, she screamed that next time she'd be ready. She then proceeds to force Rich Jerk Boyfriend into doing what she with kidnapping and threats of murder.

Allison is the strongest person alive and can force any situation she wants. This will factor into the comic going forward, I promise.

None of those things have anything to do with your conclusion that Gurwara's question ("You will stick by your principles and will not change?") means she's just going to carry on as she has been. The fact that he's asking is a clear setup for the opposite. Yes she did scream "next time I'll be ready." This is "next time." That's why I said "her temperament during the exercise itself is radically different from last time."

I expect a little speech on why she has changed, but would still make the same choice in this scenario. What this will mean for her actions outside of binary, artificial scenarios like this is not clear though. To put it another way: this scene doesn't have any meaningful predictors of her future behavior, one way or the other. We'll have to wait and see how she explains her decision.

EDIT: And because I feel we're having trouble communicating, let me elaborate that what I mean by the "opposite" above is "changing at all," not a specific change like that she's going to adopt an entirely different moral philosophy.

The entire comic has been about Allison screwing up by her morals all the danged time. I think "she will continue to screw up" is a safe bet to make.

Allison won't be satisfied until she's personally ushered in a golden age of peace.

Yeah, we're not communicating. This isn't worth the effort to explain.

Unless I'm misremembering, Allison said during her rant to Gurwara that she found it preferable to force people instead of manipulating them, because that at least let them hate you. Given that, it's... something to see her try and make amends with someone who she so grievously wronged.

It's good to see that these actions are going to continue to weigh on her going forward.

It's interesting to me that Allison seems to hate Bird Lady for not "putting on a mask", as if it were imperative she be a hero.

Eh, I read it more along the lines of either that Allison is a bit bitter about having to become a Child Soldier due to her powers (especially in the wake of the incident with douchenozzle where he was allowed to choose not to use his powers) and possibly something we don't get to see about the show, such as Angelica frequently talking about how she could have been a superhero.

I think it's less that Alison thinks all biodynamism comes with an inherent obligation and more that she thinks Angelica is stuck up, and because she hasn't been through the adversity of crime-fighting Alison sees her as holding onto frivolous grievances (like a party not going perfectly, if this page is any indication).

Personally I can't relate to caring enough about a famous-for-being-famous celebrity to even form that kind of opinion.

So I miiiiight have just done an Archive Binge of this while I was bored at work. Even after reading the whole thing I sorta can't decide whether I like it or not? It has some interesting situations and characters, but I feel like it does a terrible job of integrating the Author Tract with the actual story. "Hey, let's pause the action for a while to illustrate a point the author feels strongly about with the subtlety of an anvil" isn't really a great storytelling technique, even if you agree with the point being made. Most of the most recent chapter is literally a philosophy lecture — and even having just read it, I'm not even sure if they actually came to a conclusion or not, or just decided that philosophy is bunk.

Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.

Philosophy is without conclusion.

It was a months long debate on the ethics of tyranny. I thought it was great.
