XD What part of pick three don't you guys get?
A True Lady's Quest - A Jojo is You![X] Earth meditation! Seriously, GM, what the hell?
[X]Tessenjutsu practice.
[X] Experiment with the 'false-face' formula; see if you can change it to make the resulting stuff more or less malleable, or of a darker or lighter colour. Practice feature-sculpting, and getting the masks on and off quickly.
[X] Earth meditation! Seriously, GM, what the hell?
[X] Practice your voice-modulation. Try to fix the vocalization issue that makes you continue to sound like a girl even when you don't.
[X] Get down with Shikamaru
Ahh, the path of the Rouge. Such fun!

I tend to either have pure genius or pure idiocy, the line between the two is surprisingly fine[X] Earth meditation! Seriously, GM, what the hell?

[X] Get down with Shikamaru
Sorry. misread.
I'm actually torn here. I voted Earth meditation because of the sneak potential in it if we get the Earth Element. But....the normal disguises appeal to the kind of mindset I'd like us to have. Less magical ninja, more actual ninja.
I dunno what kind of mollycoddling GMs you've had in the past, but there will be no Rinnegan'ing in my household, you hear me young man? That ain't what elemental meditation is for. You play the elements you're dealt and you like it. Certain elements you will do well with, certain elements you will be meh at, and one in particular you will never get the hang of.

A True Lady's Quest - A Jojo is You!Ah. So the Elemental Meditation is mainly to build up to senjutsu training?
Hmm. On one tentacle, senjutsu is usually used as the big power up to bring P Cs to a parity with Big Bads. And if we get to fighting we could use that.
On the other tentacle, my overall opinion towards it can best be described as, "Screw you!" And having the ability at all makes us more likely to fight when I'd rather we talk our way outta trouble and be sneaky.
im tipping the vote, switching from voice to
[X] Earth meditation! Seriously, GM, what the hell?
I tend to either have pure genius or pure idiocy, the line between the two is surprisingly fineThat's a shame, because I just decided to switch from Earth meditation to:
[X] Experiment with the 'false-face' formula; see if you can change it to make the resulting stuff more or less malleable, or of a darker or lighter colour. Practice feature-sculpting, and getting the masks on and off quickly.
EDIT: Also, you already picked Earth, it seems.

[X] Experiment with the 'false-face' formula; see if you can change it to make the resulting stuff more or less malleable, or of a darker or lighter colour. Practice feature-sculpting, and getting the masks on and off quickly. Tempted to use it to mess with people, see who'd buy a 3' tall Hiruzen or something. But probably better to wait until we're good at it. Keep a bunch of spooky face-masks hidden under your bed, or in a shed or something.
[X] Tessenjutsu practice (preferrably with the Takazono)
[X] Get down with yo' bad self. Style all over Shika-chan and Chouji. We must forge them in the fires of Dance until they are a lean, mean Grease-era Travolta machine. Tango. Rumba. Cha-cha. Samba.

[X] I Feel The Earth Move Under My Feet
... this is one is harder than the last two.
Not different, really, just... harder. And slower.
You wriggle your toes in the mud, wondering why you aren't getting the same oomph as from Wind or Water. You're being shown the ways you're bound to the planet itself, for crying out loud; is the novelty wearing off, or something?
No, it's not that, exactly.
Do you hate the Earth, then?
Maybe. You sulk. If anything, the Earth doesn't seem to like you.
It doesn't, always, it admits.
You are shocked. Everyone likes you!
The planet replies that it isn't a one, it's a planet.
So does that mean it isn't going to help you?
It seems surprised you think it has all that much choice in the matter. It's just a simple servant of the cosmic order; it can't change what gravity does or how magnets work for anyone but a handful of the population, those with an Earth affinity.
In all honesty, though, it wishes you would give this ninjutsu stuff up. You're going to get yourself killed.
You point out that death by ninjutsu is a pretty bitchin' way to go.
The Earth calls you an idiot. Says you're a nice girl who deserves a clean slate, who shouldn't have to be bound to the past.
You grin. It thinks you should just be bound by it, then?
Yes! It sounds almost exhasperated.
(You wonder, not for the first time in this conversation, if you're really talking to the Earth, or just its personal assistant.)
So it wants you to be bound to it? Wah! You're four years old and what is this. You can't get married to the dirt! Mom, Dad, come help!
It seems almost embarrassed for a second, then snaps out of it to holler that that's not what it meant.
You change your mind. You don't hate the Earth.
Sometimes it's nice to have a sense of direction.

Blah, sickly Furiko has been failing to drown in phlegm all week. Thinkmeats hurt. >__< I'll come back and write the little epilogue where your dad explains what the hell elemental meditation is for when my lungs aren't shrieking at me to get the mucus out of them.
Before I make up any options, I want a vote on whether you want to timeskip to your fifth birthday, or timeskip to your first day at the Ninja Academy. 'Cause I gotta be honest, I got no major events planned until then; it's all gonna be leveling shit up. You'll get a chance to level up everything across the board if you go for the longer timeskip, but if you go for the shorter one you can customize. All up to you.

A True Lady's Quest - A Jojo is You!Get well soon Furiko [x]Timeskip to Ninja academy.
[X] Tessun
We will be waiting warmly for your recovery.
[x] Academy.
Say, when does the Uchiha Disaster happen in relation to that date and the fifth birthday? Before, after, or in-between?
Rather than smart, I'd prefer to be wise. It would let me be silly more often.Zenigata would totally be Earth-natured. Apologize to the Earth, but explain we're just far too pretty to be chained down to any one planet.
Also, wow everybody and their ninja grandmother has been telling us not to be a ninja. Maybe we should listen? We could be, like, Konoha's diplomat oh hey why does everything always go missing when she shows up?
This has been really cute, but I wouldn't mind a timeskip to the Academy.
Edit: I think the Massacre happens in their sixth year, so the first year at the Academy?
edited 22nd Feb '13 10:31:26 AM by Guile
This is good, because Ino still has a chance to make a bit more survivors. Assuming the GM has adequate plans for that.

Rather than smart, I'd prefer to be wise. It would let me be silly more often.I think massacre happens when they are eight. Yep, checked ( http://naruto.wikia.com/wiki/Uchiha_Clan_Massacre ) - four years before start of canon (when they are twelve).
[x]Time-skip to the Academy.
I hope you feel better Furiko
also
[x]Non-chakra shenanigans, then time skip
