I liked the first episode, but the not the second one so much. None of the borderline-vaudevillian humour and no fantasy dance sequence. May give the third episode a shot
Yeah, this episode was quite clearly a "get your sh!t together" episode, which isn't all that interesting. It's good that they took this opportunity to introduce the series mechanics and the rest of the cast, though. That idol group ranking app seems like a very convenient plot device to let the audience know how well/poorly they're doing. ...A bit too convenient.

Episode 2: Not as zany as the first one, but plenty entertaining, especially if I consider that it's what amounts to a training arc. And yeah that idol ranking app sure is convenient. Probably really stressful for idols too.

I'm enjoying it. plenty of likable characters and a realistic portrayal of what it takes to be an idol.
Liking what I'm seeing so far, though the voice acting at times is cringe worthy (speacially on the lead-ins to the songs on the first and third episodes), it's interesting enough to hook me in.
About that app, if I'm not mistaken, it's not an Idol ranking app but a club ranking one. Can anyone confirm this?
Tried checking, but the app does not show its own name anywhere on it, so I can only assume it's an idol ranking because it makes the most sense.
Episode 3: And of course the auditorium turns out to be (mostly) empty, complete with declaration of someday filling the place up.) The song and dance were good.
It's more likely an idol ranking app. A club ranking app isn't that useful with regards to the show's plot.

I tought was an club app because at the end of the second episode, the app appears to name the Otonizaka Gakuen Idol Club. I assumed to be a club ranking of sorts, but on second tought it can go either way.
I see that, but in universe, I think it's possible to be a club ranking, since the first time it appears is on Student Council President's Laptop, after the girls handed the club application form. But again, it can go either way. Funny thing is that the app is generating more turmoil for me than the show itself.

Episode 4: It's actually rather refreshing to see Nishikino join just by going with the flow and not via some dramatic epiphany. Same goes for the other girl.
I rather like Nishikino (how can I not, what with her tsundere), and I think Rin's voice is good. Hanayo kind of needs more punch.
Episode 5: Black-haired stalker girl's episode. Her name's Nico and she joins Muse. Yeah. It's her second shot at becoming an idol apparently. It's a standard recruitment episode.
Honestly, I'm more interested in who they're gonna pick as center (or, if the music videos are any indication, how they're gonna decide that the center will be voted on on a per song basis).

Episode 6:
They chose a third option— no center at all. Though everyone considers Honoka to be the leader.
I thought it was hilarious seeing Nico get flustered by her fellow idols' unexpectedly high "power levels".
They also made one hell of a PV. Props and costumes-wise, at least.
Classic cliffhanger too. "Something big's happened!" —end—
I really liked the new song, I hope we get more
Episode 7: Title Drop.
Classic "the condition is that no one fails the finals!".
Didn't really like Nico's constant Nico Nicoing and Nozomi's chest rubbing.
Apparently our blond student council president is a phenomenal dancer, enough to be able to consider even the top school idol group a bunch of amateurs. Can't say I see how, but she'll definitely be a great asset when she joins.
Nico's just annoying. That said, I like that they finally told us what the title meant.
Don't like how they've already finalized the closure, though.
Episode 8: Solidly directed.
- The school closure is finalized if the open house event is received poorly.
- In the end, Eri was just tsundere. Welcome to Muse! Err, you too, Nozomi.
- Speaking of Nozomi, she's the one who gave the idol group their name! Thus, the nine singing goddesses.
- More training, more exercises.
- I really like that they went ahead with the open house performance instead of leaving it for next week. The dance was okay, the song was good, the montage was entertaining (highlight: Eri doing the classic "I'm an ojou thus I have never eaten a burger before" routine only to be outdone by Nozomi casting a spell on hers for some reason).
- Next week: maids. Part-time jobs.
Oh, cool.

Fun fact (since it seems you aren't aware):
Yes, they remade the very first single released for the franchise for that episode.

that was cool. I didn't expect to see 2.5 year old first single in the show
Yay new song.
Can't say I like Kotori's ridiculously saccharine voice though.
Episode 9: Yeah, I've never really liked Kotori's voice either. The new song was boring too.
Surprise surprise, Kotori's Minalinsky.
And an instance of Tempting Fate.
Someone at A Suki posted all of the P Vs so far, and you can pretty much track the Art Evolution of the series, as by the time we got to the 5th PV, the character designs were close to what the anime had now.

seemed like a throwaway line, but I wonder what A-Rise will do now that Muse is invading their terrritoroy
Episode 10: Beach episode, but has more pajamas. Wanted to see Umi rampage more, but I guess it's fine since this was Maki's ep.
The next episode should prove to be interesting.
Noticed that this didn't have a thread yet.
So... what does everyone think of the anime so far?
