Gameplay mechanics don't work in this format, though. How does bread restore one's health? Does everyone have numbers floating above their heads? Taking a chunk of rock to the eye, even a tiny one, is can be just as effective even against bosses in a more realistic setting than some level eight fireworks display, and more practical to boot.

...You actually would normally see a number lower and hits when you deal damage. So kind of, yes.

But I'm only talking about keeping your experience chart. Obviously you have an Inventory, like everybody else.

And Fresh Bread is no different from some kind of potion. It's the exact same thing. It makes you feel better.

I...don't think we should have as many as 60 spells for that purpose. People should probably have a set of skills and let us use that in clever ways to beat challenges rather than spamming our most powerful attacks over and over again.

Battles will essentially come down to different variations of -attacks the enemy- over and over again and it won't be any fun to read or write.

I also think that this is going to pretty much put what the character can do over who they are and why are they interesting.

For example Doctor Manhattan is not interesting because he can rearrange your atoms. He's interesting because he's a deep complex with flaws and problems, and other challenges that he has to work though that he can't just blow away.

60 spells is only max for Humanoids and some monster races.

You can't spam giant spells because you won't have the MP to do so. Which was the purpose of that stat.

Battling isn't going to be super heavy, as more roleplaying will happen, but leveling up is meant to be done through battling specifically. Certain items or Upgrades(this could include boss spells) are only doable via storyline or alternate methods.

This game is not meant to be a super interesting battle system by default. Not in a forum, anyway. One can actually dodge stuff by moving around, so describing your attacks makes them more likely to hit.(since I won't be using a programmed accuracy without your Agility stat)

Full Announcements

After reading through replies, a final decision has been made.

Experience Points for your Elements and your total number of Elements(and Spells) will be kept. An Item list will be kept. Lastly, your Spirit Gemstone(which is simply a number, and not an item list, to clarify) will be kept. Due to this, Items will be split into two categories: Key and Disposable(Alternatively, it can be listed as Regular).

I will be updating the original Sign-Up Sheet with this new char sheet.

Actually, more work is being done with more updates. Stats may be returning. In addition, Azure and Spaz will no longer be allowed to participate in this roleplay due to various factors, including the problems with wanting to play the game as intended in this thread alone. Truthfully, I should've kicked you out after this, since you had no intentions with cooperating at all, just refusing to accept that the game is different from the norm. That is all.
