Ah, yeah that makes sense actually. I met him but I must have missed that line of dialogue.
EDIT: They can't possibly hate humnas as much as the Brotherhood hates Ghouls/Synths/Mutants/Everything though.
On that note, I'm probably going to eradicate the Brotherhood by the end of my playthrough. My character joined them pretty soon after leaving the Vault because she felt they had the ressources to help her, but I really can't see her staying in that group.

He only mentions he owns the caravans if you talk to him prior to the mission you do with him.
It's more that the Railroad doesn't lift a finger to help humans, but it's not their mission either and considering how much effort the Institute is putting hunting them down, kinda make sense they don't want to stick their neck out further.
Probably why the best outcome is a Railroad / Minutemen team up.
Or why the Capital of the Empire has something like 10 ruined fort of each city (And no actual active military fort), and 1000 bandits for each imperial citizen.

Yeah, Fallout has the excuse of being a Crapsack World to justify the multitude of baddies.
To be fair though, I would like to have the option of permanently clearing an area. If I leave a trail of blood in my wake, I want raiders to take note and to stay the fuck away from an area.
It's probably something I could try modding into the game myself.
I'll maybe try to add some flavour to it. Like you have to plant a bloody head on a spike after leaving a dungeon to permanently mark it as cleared.

The Railroad has a distrust of humans, but that's pretty much par for the course in the Wastes, they're not hateful of humans, however. And if you get banished from The Institute before completing the Railroad plotline, Desdemona drops the act. Basically, they're not sure if they should trust the Minutemen. Which, considering the recent collapse of the group, is totally fair. However, she will admit you're doing a good job leading them and the Alliance is actually REALLY beneficial for both since your Synth Rogues on the inside and the Minutemen storm The Institute together and both sides really appreciate it.
The NCR is like Tim Taylor. We need more POWER!!tbf they have really good reason to be paranoid. Literally anyone could be a synth spy; even their own members. I'm wondering how they'll be post-game. I came across a railroad checkpoint being attacked by the brotherhood so I guess they'll have some presence in the wastes now. Don't make a whole lotta sense for a clandestine group dedicated to saving sytnhs to have checkpoints but w/e. Least it ain't minutemen and their shitty fucking laser muskets. CRANK IT MORE THEN ONCE YOU IDIOTS! THIS IS WHY YOU ALL DIED! GET A FOUR CRANK IT'S LIKE ONE RANK OF SCIENCE FOR FUCKS SAKE!
Is using "Julian Assange is a Hillary butt plug" an acceptable signature quote?Speaking of perks,it would be cool if every humanoid creature had a S.P.E.C.I.A.L chart of its own, plus other perks.Would probably be hard to implement though.
Secret SignatureDo you mean a written out one we can see, or just having the mechanic apply to them? Because they probably already do to a point.
They do.
Or at least they should, since NP Cs have always had stats in bethseda games.
"The wasteland doesn't seem like a civilized enough place for a civil rights movement to crop up."
Hey it cropped up in RL USA.

I just found out that Dogmeat and Strong has race specific armor. Cool, that was a feature I liked in Tactics.
#IceBearForPresidentYou can wear the super mutant chains.

Even better.
#IceBearForPresidentI love Tactics. It's the one I'm playing now. On mission number three, which is the farthest I've gone yet.
If Obsidian is doing another game, a Midwest Brotherhood vs. Legion one would be the obvious choice. They're the ones who introduced us to the Legion outside of lore in the first place. This would also give us a chance to see the parts of the Legion that were supposed to make them gray.
I should play tactics again.
That branch is my favorite Bo S branch. I know a lot of people hate Imperialism (It's not a good thing in real life and I don't support actual nations engaging in it) but there's nothing more satisfying to me than helping build an Empire in a video game.
Strong: "Humans should help humans. Not robots."
I really can't get a good read on Strong. He likes mindless violence, but is fascinated with philosophy. He believes in survival of the fittest, but as the above line showed he apparently has some capacity for loyalty. He hates politeness, but you gain approval doing Minutemen quests. Granted pretty much everyone loves it when you help the Minutemen, but still.
#IceBearForPresidentAnyone know of a way to forcibly remove power armor from your character?
Way back when I found my second PA frame I glitched out putting it on and it disappeared but now I'm trying to sit in the memory lounger for a quest and it tells me that I can't cause I'm wearing power armor. So the armor must have fused with me but holding E won't un-equip it.
@Sirboulevard
Is that how you get the Minutemen and Railroad to team up when attacking the Institute? So basically I do the Railroad quests, fail Underground Undercover after arming the Synths, and then do the Minutemen quests?
Also, the Railroad isn't helping the rest of the Commonwealth because its not their job. They don't actively impede on people like the Minutemen, but their distrust of the people of the Commonwealth makes sense considering Synths can be murdered just for being Synths. Helping the Commonwealth would require a more public presence like the Minutemen, and that would just put a giant target on their head for the Institute.
IIRC Father implies they plan to get rid of the Minutemen, too. You can't help the Commonwealth publicly; the Institute will stop you. And you can't help them in a significant way underground.
And as for how the Railroad can exist, the Commonwealth, like the Mojave, is remarkably livable. Sure their are bandits and hostile animals, but Skyrim has just as many (so don't confuse gameplay mechanics with lore). Fallout 4 shares New Vegas' status as a post-post-apocalyptic story.

Sorry to interrupt but I just learned Sarah Lyons dies and I want to say "fuck you, Bethesda."
Carry on.
Enter another suit then exit it? Reload an earlier save? Turn it off and on again?

Is using "Julian Assange is a Hillary butt plug" an acceptable signature quote?Tried all but reloading an earlier save as I've been playing for 70+ hours without realizing there was an issue. I was kinda hoping there'd be a console command or something that might help so I don't have to wright off that much time.
I suppose I could just turn this into my messing around run that I typically do after beating the game the first time, and apparently something in the glitch also makes it so I don't drain fusion cores so I can abuse that for fun.

well if you have console commands you could just setstage that shit.
Is using "Julian Assange is a Hillary butt plug" an acceptable signature quote? Why do raiders get to "own" power armor when all their other stuff counts as unowned? Find a raider with a nice set of T-45 armor, force him out of it, and my only choice for getting it (suit or plates) (except the two plates I broke, which were on the dead guy's person) is to "steal" it, pissing off Preston.
Because the way power armour is coded causes it to be owned by whoever exits it unless that person is in your active party.
I know this because Nick stole my backup armour during the memory quest, and now I cant use it without it being stealing.
Where are we told that they hate humans? Most of them are humans, and for them synths and humans are equals.
