The overwhelming majority of popular dragons are double weak to Ice, and Ice moves are easy to get in pretty much every game after about the midway point (and to teach to Water types, which are overabundant everywhere that is not Unova). Dragons don't become prominent until around the endgame usually (And Grant's is relatively easy to handle given what options you have when you battle him and that brittle Rock typing of its), so Fairies didn't really do much in the long run, in-game or competitively.
Steel is still one of the best types in the game - I'd say the trade of off losing two resistances in order to strike the new guys super effectively was more than worth it.
When a type has so many resistances it can just lose two of them and it doesn't matter because at that point who's keeping track anymore?
It's important for Metagross, Jirachi and Bronzong though, since they've suddenly gained two new weaknesses.

Heart of Stone@Sterok: Considering the difficulty bump between RGY and Fire Red/Leaf Green, you may expect for a real challenge with the Hoenn re-releases. They may improve Norman's Slakings a notch to make it a bit more difficult.

Doesn't matter how strong they are. As long as you have Protect, Slaking is about as threatening as a teddy bear.
Heart of StoneThey just have to make it available only after the fight then.
I can see withholding the TM until then, but what about Pokemon that learn it by level? Dustox gets it at level 17 in gen VI, for example.
I couldn't conceive a dream so wet; your bongos make me congo. All signs point to ORAS being easier than vanila Ruby/Sapphire and closer to X and Y's difficulty, so somebody standing outside Norman's gym will probably hand the TM to you and tell you exactly how to use it to beat him.
Oh well. They may also add a guy who wants to exchange his Graveler against your Zigzagoon or something.
It would be a shame, because RSE was the original game I considered the hardest among the six gens. Norman and Wallace, plus having to catch that goddamn Kyogre...good memories of me raging on my GBA.
I don't remember raging much. Then again, I had an offical players guide on hand. Good times.
Persona 3 Portable LiveblogIt was a nightmare for 12 year old me, having never played any video game ever before, trying to find sootopolis. I had not internet acess, so I couldn't look it up and I had no friends to ask. so I raged and then started monologing in character about finding someone with a boat and where the crap was this city.
Got a degree in Emotional trauma via fictional characters aka creative writing. hosting S'mores party in Hell for fellow (evil) writersI guess the Shiny Gengar event started for North America. Though it's a code that you have to pick up at Gamestop/EB Games/Game Planet (US/Canada/Mexico). Also Chile gets it from Microplay, although that's South America.
And just like that, I've just got my name engraved in the Hall of Fame in record time at Lv. 64-70. Well at least the villain had a yet another decent point that is based off an ongoing problem in real life, the Team Flare grunt were borderline comedy relief, and the music and scenery is still the best I've seen in a Pokémon game. But Mega Evolution is still overpowered due to an shortage of Trainers who can use it (and no I've haven't revisited everything yet).
Still trying to figure out a new plan catch Zygarde since my first attempt with the Y legendary failed (must find that False Swipe TM), richer than ever (which is normal in my case), climbing waterfalls for relatively minor rewards, no internet matches for me since I'm do lazy to try it. Now the only thing I'm looking forward to at this point is how the anime's plot will change to subvert this massive spoiler of a game.
And judging from the Kalos region map, any bets that they'll add an expansion to the region like they did with Unova? My money is on the southern area.

Answer no master, never the slave Carry your dreams down into the grave Every heart, like every soul, equal to breakFalse Swipe is on the second floor of Sycamore's lab; you grab it from one of the researchers.
Tip: Use Dusk Ball on Zygarde. Not only will it always get the boost due to being in a cave, it suits it fabulously well. Capture O-power also helps.
I couldn't conceive a dream so wet; your bongos make me congo. There's also the usual tactic of tossing a Quick Ball the first turn, and tossing Timer Balls after turn 10 or so.
But I agree the Dusk Ball's colour scheme fits Zygarde so well.
Give the God Eater game thread some love! While I would like to see a Southern Kalos expansion, I wouldn't hold my breath. According to a bunch of people who apparently dug into ORAS' demo, there is apparently evidence that says there are only two more games in Generation 6 as a whole. Either that means we're getting X2 and Y2 (I'd rather not) or Z and one other game (maybe Delta Emerald?)
I have friends...721 of them, and counting.Z and Delta Emerald don't seem THAT unlikely.
I sure said that! They certainly seem more plausible than X2 and Y2.
I have friends...721 of them, and counting.Z and Yellow remake.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Purple Green and Violet Orange, completely new games set in Kanto during the time of b2w2/XY or even after it.
I couldn't conceive a dream so wet; your bongos make me congo.- sprays Yamii Denryuu with a spraybottle* NO. BAD OPINION. We've already visited Kanto enough. I would like to see a new region entirely, but I doubt it would be in this generation; they would likely need new Pokemon, which would cause compatibility issues with X/Y and OR/AS.

I have friends...721 of them, and counting....I wouldn't mind checking up on Kanto again.

Well it's still hard for me to decode the Fairy-Types weakness (seriously don't ruin this) and I understand nerfing the Dragon-Type since they are effective against most of the cast and have somewhat rare weaknesses (referring to the hard to find Dragons and climate-exclusive Ice-types here. And defensively, Steel used to resist a lot of stuff. But now, I don't know what they did to that matchup.
