Maybe CD Projekt Red will bring in a patch similar to the one that introduced "Legendary" status and levelling to Skyrim?
Ugh, it's so annoying being able to go everywhere on a map and then having to run from fights because enemies are so much stronger XD
Sounds like Skyrim, Oblivion, Morrowind, Fallout 3 and New Vegas to me, at least early game.
True.
At least Witcher's leveling is consistent, 1K per level.

Skills are already maxed out. Upgrade what? :-P
Never mind, then
I want to know why the fighting contest missions fuck the combat system. Why is it that suddenly Geralt can't dodge? Why is it that I can't target my enemy? How come Geralt can be oneshotted by some dude in a pub. I thought witchers were mutants with enhanced reflex and endurance. Coz it sure as hell doesn't show.

I preferred Witcher 2's, where you just did QT Es.
Because boxers don't make super barrel rolls
Maybe the sport wouldn't be on its way out if they did.
You have a point.
Also, NPC boxers CAN do the non cartwheel dodge that Geralt can in regular combat. But not Geralt.
I'm thinking of going to Novigrad soon. I'm kind of running out of things to do in Velen.
I'm starting to become better and more crafty at Gwent. Actually kind of fun, this little card minigame.
I'd love to see a free standalone mltiplayer game; Gwent Online, or something like that. Goddamn it Gwent is like the best mini-game I played ever!
Dear god the amount of Schmuck Bait in this game is absurd.
And I'm falling for every single one of them. I've killed probably hundreds by being an idiot.
You mean the little hop-dodge thing you do by double-tapping or alt-move? It works for me.
Doesn't for me. Never does during boxing.

Hm. I'm having difficulty locating a Hidden Treasure. It should be in plain sight in a bandit camp on the west coast of one of the western landmass in Velen but for some reason I can't find it. Weird >.>
Anyway, did the quest with Keira Metz (who I do not remember from either game, maybe she's a book character) and ran into the Wild Hunt. I was right, they will be responsible for the ice age! I'm guessing that stopping them will stop it from occurring and Jacques du Aldersburg will be proven wrong.
Yeah Kiera was in one of the novels.
And what the fuck, the fall damage in this game is ridiculous. 2ft = 1/4 health gone, 3ft half, 4+ ft = death.
I wonder if the treasure is underwater or something...I don't think it's underground, because I haven't seen any tunnel entrances...
Did Geralt suddenly become a Spelunker in the intervening time between W2 and W3?
I hope you get tiny bits of eggshell in all your omelettes for the rest of your life!I'm now level 12. Still annoyed that I still can't just kill everything on the map, but I'n gonna keep leveling up. Maybe I'll go into Novigrad to try and get some witcher gear first.
Still loving it. Though the map can be brutal... However, I managed to kill a quest grave hag four levels above me... Which gave me an amazing relic sword... And I suddenly found another one just in a random map marker... Which I'd been avoiding because of the level 10 dr owners there...
No one told me you can one shot them underwater with a crossbow. Dammit that would've made the bag a lot easier to kill.
Shrieker is dead as well; chickened out of the Jenny of the woods quest for the mo, as I can't quite get the hang of the nightwraith attack flags. Also moon dust bombs only affect her for short time and her drain health ability is an arse. I really preferred witcher 2s potion system - and being able to carry more than two bombs of any kind.
Going to do barons quest first (pellar etc) then finish Keira's quest as well. Then may head to novigrad - only level 6 so not sure if I'm just too slow at levelling.
And Gwent is bloody amazing.
Well well well, I didn't expect to see you in this game, Vernon Roche! Is there any other time you can talk to him? Does he have any other influence with the story?
I made it to Novigrad too. FINALLY got Witcher gear forged. The Griffin school ones, though I cannot wield the steel sword yet and I got a better silver sword from the guy I killed to get the last of the Cat school stuff.
